I had a double mastectomy after breast cancer in Springfield Missouri and was destroyed. I got on the internet and saw how great Dr. Lai was rated and I called. We were asked to submit pictures and I had an appointment within a couple weeks. I explained the blood disorder I had and he reassured me he had patients in the past with excellent results and I was sold. He was very patient and explained everything . He answered questions and we made our appointment. We drove 3 1/2 hours to be there and we begin the process. It’s been almost a year, and of course Covid hasn’t helped any, but I am so grateful to Dr Lai for the amazing results! Once I was constantly swollen and infected and then I went to regular visits after he actually used my own fat and tissue from the previous awful experience and created natural, real breasts! I never thought this was possible. I actually never thought I would feel like a woman again. Just a few years ago I was modeling, And now at age 47 I actually see that I can look pretty close to what I used to and I am just so happy. He is an amazing doctor. He’s very compassionate, understanding, and truly cares about his patients before during and after any surgery assumed that was needed. I can’t speak highly enough of him! He has changed my life! Thank you Dr. Lai. You and your entire staff have made this long journey so smooth with great results and we are almost done. I will be forever grateful! Dr Lai is a great professional at what he does, and has a very good personality. He looked after my mother Irma Campbell who is 95 and had a pace maker put in and he was her specialist and she is so happy to have met him.

Dr. Lai has been working with me on my reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy for the past 6 years. He is incredibly warm, knowledgeable and caring, and has truly helped me get to a good result after such a difficult procedure. I highly recommend his services.

I was fortunate to have Dr. Lai on my medical team for left breast mastectomy and reconstruction. He recommended DIEP Flap reconstruction surgery and I couldn't be happier with the results. He is approachable, kind and has plenty of patience for questions. Dr. Lai is a gifted plastic surgeon who could also be described as a master sculpter! He helped me cope with cancer by creating a perky pair of breasts and "six pack" abs! His staff is effecient and always available. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lai for any plastic surgery procedure. I'd have to say that I appreciated his demeanor and bedside manner just as much as his skill because I needed a kind word just as much as a great result.

Dr. Lai is an excellent surgeon. I had a right mastectomy and he was able to do reconstructive surgery on the right side and literally sculpt my left breast by doing a reduction and lift. My breasts are now equal in size and shape. They haven't looked this good since I was a teenager. I'm 62. I would recommend Dr. Lai to anyone who wants the best outcome possible. On top of that, he is gentle, caring and a pleasure to be around. I totally trust his judgement and skills.
