Dr. Eric Miles Egelman

I had a foot injury over the weekend, with wish I went to the urgent care, had xrays done, diagnosed and put an ortho footwear. I was also told to see and orthopedic specialist. Dr. Egelman was the only one available the following Tuesday. I came in with my own X-ray and the footwear and the diagnosis. Dr. looked at all that, confirmed the diagnosis and said to me back in 6 weeks. For that “treatment of a fracture” I was charged $210 for the visit plus $550 for the fracture treatment. What treatment? Outrageous and looms a lot like a billing fraud. Here I am, today back at the Dr. Egelman’s office for the follow up. He tells me I need to buy a special orthotic and use that for 4 more weeks. To my question of how should I know the foot is healed he told me it takes that much time. No physical therapy was recommended by the way. I am an athlete and want to get back into training, but he didn’t even care to listen to that. Not going back and not recommending this doctor.

Very rushed and very rude, cut me off if I spoke longer than 8 seconds and considering his history and exam in total was 2 minutes I have very little faith his diagnosis his correct. Also did not take time to explain treatment plan so I don't understand what I am supposed to be doing at all for my foot problem. Overall he spent about 5 minutes with me and I felt very blown off with my questions. I am a PA and this patient treatment is completely unacceptable. I will not be back.

If there were no stars that would be my review!!! I had a crack in the bone in my fifth metatarsal and am 84 years old and very small in stature. Dr. Egelman wanted me to wear a boot up to my knee & wear it 24/7 for 6 weeks!! I went to a different doctor 10 days ago & am now healed & fine!

I would absolutely recommend family and friends to Dr. Egelman. I have received nothing but excellent care. Iris is absolutely wonderful! 5 stars for all!

I don’t have enough good things to say about him. I hate doctors in general and I get extremely anxious about being around one but Dr. Egelman has always made me feel at ease. My ankle has gotten better and I’m extremely grateful. I know I’m not an easy patient but Dr. Egelman has always been very patient with me and explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I can’t recommend him enough.

I spent 1/2 hour completing an online health history, another hour waiting to be seen, had xrays done before seeing the doctor [I have a condition that does not require xrays] and he spent, at best, 10 minutes with me. He refused to allow me to explain [briefly] the reason for my visit; he obviously did not read the submitted health history. He treated me rudely, with disrespect and was dismissive of my needs. That is 2 hours I will never get back!

Super nice guy! Very thorough examination of my daughter’s foot (both times we were there) and excellent explanation of her condition and treatment plan! Would highly recommend!!

Already recommended him to a few friends. He took time to hear my problem and gave me good advice.
