Dr. Eric Martin Ashkin

Dr. Ashkin is friendly and patient. He did an excellent job providing me with good care from 34 weeks of pregnancy through 40 weeks. Regardless of my age(40), he created a tailored birth plan which allowed me to deliver naturally without any complications. He also circumcised my son, and it was well done. I highly recommend him to every woman, whether pregnant or not. He is the best!

Dr. Ashkin is a wonderful doctor, he is knowledgeable and his bed manner is good.

Dr. Ashkin is a brilliant doctor and surgeon. If you ever need specialized care, whether pregnant or not, he’s the right doctor to trust. He’s incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, as well as patient in explaining everything to you. He treats patients with kindness and humor. You will always know he is putting your health and wellbeing first.

I share more than I normally would on a public review to urge women to not avoid a GYN exam due to fear or a bad experience. I am grateful for the referral to this practice. It took me decades to find a GYN who put me at ease as did Dr. Ashkin. In my exam, I did not have the usual pain and anxiety as many times before with other GYNs. Dr. Ashkin actively listened to my worries, understood what to change in the exam to accommodate my preferences and helped me to relax by explaining every step. He was patient. My anxiety melted and he adjusted the exam for my comfort. Plus, he discovered something that no other GYN had, that my bone positioning was slightly different which explained problems that I had for years. We had a candid conversation of options which helped me to feel hope, that a solution would help me to return to normalcy. I thought I'd never say this, but I will gladly schedule my GNY exam next year and only with Dr. Ashkin.

Dr. Ashkin is the best! He has delivered three of my children and I feel lucky to have such an amazing doctor by my side.

Dr. Eric Ashkin saw me as a human and not just as a patient. I wish every physician was like that. He took time to ask questions of me, and to allow me to ask questions of him. He also took time to explain some of my medical questions that were not even related to my visit. I highly recommend Dr. Eric Ashkin.

Dr. Ashkin is an excellent doctor with a calm demeanor. During my numerous prenatal visits, Dr. Ashkin took his time to discuss and alleviate my concerns for my first pregnancy. I never felt rushed during my appointments, and always felt like Dr. Ashkin was looking out for me.

Eric Ashkin is the most unprofessional, uneducated, unethical doctor I ever encountered. He is not worthy of even a rating of one star. If you ever encounter him in a medical environment request a new doctor! He is rude to his patients and fellow staff. I recommend that he staple his oath to his forehead because his level of arrogance is clouding his vision. Would not recommend him and I question his employer. I have been going to Capital Women's Care for ~5 years now and have seen all of the providers there. Dr. Ashkin was my primary doctor to deliver my first child by c-section and recently provided care throughout my twin pregnancy and delivery by repeat c-section. Dr. Ashkin is very knowledgeable and skilled, particularly if you require a c-section delivery. He is clear and direct and made time to answer all of my questions. I was able to trust his care and concern for my overall health and well being throughout pregnancy and post-partum. Dr and Staff makes you feel comfortable. Very efficient.

Dr. Ashkin is the best. I have been with him For years. Thought two babies. I can’t imagine using another doctor. I’d give more stars if I could. I move somewhat out of the area and will still travel to see him.

I have been seeing Dr. Ashkin for 20 years. He is a very experienced surgeon and has great bed side manners. He delivered both of my children and I had a wonderful experience with my C-section surgeries. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ashkin is a dedicated, caring, and extremely skilled doctor and surgeon. His communication style is very direct and he doesn’t sugarcoat, but I appreciate that. Throughout my pregnancy he went above and beyond to make sure that my twins and I were safe, including successfully delivering them during an emergency c-section and coming back to check on me in the middle of the night after back to back surgeries. I knew he was always there if I needed him and he went out if his way several times without me asking to make sure that I got the best possible care. If you’re looking for a doctor who may not always be warm and fuzzy but will be there and capable every step of the way, you’ve found him. Dr. Ashkin is super experienced and straight-forward. You definitely feel like you're in good hands. He's not super smiley and warm, but you can tell he cares a lot about his patients. He will give you the whole truth and his full recommendation without any nonsense and I appreciate that a lot. If anything unexpected or difficult happens during pregnancy or delivery, he would know how to handle it. Dr. Ashkin is super experienced and straight-forward. Dr. Ashkin is very gentle, and has a great sense of humor. He performed my hysterectomy and I healed beautifully. Highly recommend.
