Dr. Enoch Chung Chan

I really like dr e chan, he is easy to talk to and outreach in Brentwood is great!

He's a reliable, very good doctor and easy to relate to. Certainly not a "quack" or arrogant in any way. I've never had a problem with the staff, they're very cordial. They're professional here, with nothing to be ashamed of.

This doctor should not be allowed to practice. Rather than his staff simply inform callers he is not accepting new patients, they tell you the doctor will call back. He does not. A Psychiatrist and Medical Director of a clinic doesn't call patients back? Or have his staff do so? That is horrific, he is dealing with psychiatric patients and families who are looking for help and he completely ignores them. Nobody should be treated like that. What a disgrace. Reporting to NYS. In the begging he was ok but I tried to call him for months and no one returned my calls to make an appt and mind you these are psych meds. He was my pcp until I finally got in touch with someone trying to make an appt and said I been out if meds and said that they don't take my insurance. Dr. Chan is AMAZING. I have been very pleased by his level of professionalism and that of his staff. The receptionist Megan is always helpful and polite. The doctor even called me while on vacation to refill my prescription. He was highly recommended by two coworkers and it was the best choice I ever made.

I have been there a bunch of times his wife is his secretary with a nasty attitude the patient's in the waiting room all seemed to be on xanax dr chan recommended xanax for me but I refused and his response was that's why you're here ISN'T IT

I think the amount of time spent waiting to see this Dr. Is far far from being worth it. I believe he’s knowledgable but waiting in his office multiple times and see him stroll in 1&1/2 hours PAST my appointment time is just not right. That’s pretty callous if you ask me. He obviously doesn’t regard the patients time as anything that matters. I’ve seen him since he 1st opened, wait times were reasonable and short. Now, forget it. I’ve moved on and I’d suggest anyone to everyone does as well. I’ve been coming to this office for a while and the wait is always bad .. not even because there are a lot of people waiting but for example .. I’ve been here since 11am , it’s nearly 1PM and I’m still waiting while I hear the DR having casual conversation in the hallway, with a friend not a patient. I just find it unprofessional, I pay out of pocket to come here and it’s not cheap. I also second the comment about the girl at the desk .. I worked in a doctors office for a few years and know the basics of the job .. starting w customer service..considering switching doctors at this point .. Dr Chan is one of the best doctors I’ve been to his bedside manner is caring and he makes sure all your questions are answered he takes his time doesn’t rush u until u feel good about what ever problem u have the staff are very professional and make sure they fit u in even if he’s booked ❤️❤️

Dr. E. Chan has been my Primary Doctor for 15 plus years and even when I was bed ridden after a major accident which caused me to be hospitalized for 1 month, Dr. Chan was willing to make a house call for me until I was able to use a wheelchair to see him in his office. Dr Chan and his staff are very helpful and comforting. He has been an excellent diagnostician and I have the utmost gratitude for the treatment plans he has provided. On some visits his little boys have been playing in the office. You can tell many things about a person by the way a child looks at them through their own eyes. Dr. Chan is a decent and intelligent doctor but the woman who works the front desk and answers the phone is rude, unprofessional and incompetent. She actually hung up on my boyfriend when a form that the doctor assured us would be filled out within a 3 day time frame was not done after 3 days and she refused to make it a priority despite the fact that I offered to race to the office before it closed. The wait times are routinely excessive, most likely due to over-booki

Very friendly environment, if you have to pay out of pocket there price per visit is Fair, a lot of the other doctors I saw prior to finding Dr.Chan were asking for double per visit. The Staff (receptionist's) are wonderful and caring if you need a new Doctor and need to see someone as soon as possible, they will make you an appointment (if possible) for first time patients the same day you call, and will try to work with you and your schedule for future appointments to ensure the best quality
