She's the best!!!!

When I first met Dr. Ko, I liked her but the day of my surgery all of that changed. She was 2.5 hours late for my surgery and had an attitude because the RNs and the anesthesiologist from the morning staff were concern about me waiting from 10:30 am, and were paging her to see where she's at. Dr. Ko did not apologize at all for her latest OR her funky attitude. I don't trust her diagnosis either, something's not right. The pathologist says one thing she says another! Second opinion!

Diagnosis me with endometriosis adenomyosis from a d&c, which is impossible to do without a hysterectomy(which I did not have). Either the pathologist is lying or she's embellishing to get me to agree to a hysterectomy. A month later, she gets her nurse to call me...for what? Ladies, please be extremely careful when going to Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.

She doesn't read any ultrasounds, instead she depends on what the radiologist(the dr.) writes. By her not viewing my ultrasounds, it let to me having an unnecessary procedure. Also, she doesn't acknowledge symptoms when you have none. She base her surgeries on what the doctor report in the radiology department, which is bad if the radiologist misdiagnosis you, like I was. Please be careful and she has a problem with being on time for surgery too. And she will come with an attitude because the other doctors are calling on her for being extremely late. Again be careful with her and other penn medicine doctors.

Dr. Ko and her entire team have been incredible. Long story short, I was diagnosed with endometriosis with ovarian cysts and a very late uterine fibroid. This came on very suddenly and required abdominal surgery. I had a horrific experience working with Jefferson for medical treatment and surgical intervention. I had SO much more peace of mind and comfort after switching to Penn. Dr. Ko and her team were compassionate, made sure I understood the process, and still check on me 6 months later!
