If you want a Dr who only cares about money and not about your child this is the doctor to go see! My son see's 15 different specialists at children's hospital and I have never had a Dr refuse to call me when I requested a phone call. This dr provided my son with medical equipment and when I had a simple question of how often should my son be using this equipment that she provided and that my insurance company is paying for she refused to answer my question without an appointment! I also asked about my sons secreations because pulmonary inpatient dropped the ball at addressing that for my sons discharge plan and so it needed to be addressed before he got ill again I asked 4 times in a month and she refused to call me or answer my question. I would highly NOT recommend this doctor, she truly doesn't care about your time, your child, your concerns, or getting on the same page from a communication stand point. There are plenty of other doctors at children's hospital that so care about those things so why go see someone who doesn't? My daughter has a trach due to bilateral vocal cord paralysis and has many specialists, Dr. DeBoer being her pulmonologist. After having a negative experience with another pulmonologist, Dr. DeBoer was a breath of fresh air. Dr. DeBoer was able to correctly diagnose a problem that my daughter was having and properly treated it. She is a great listener, friendly, and compassionate. When I have a concern about my daughter’s respiratory status, my phone call is returned promptly and the problem is addressed. If I have other non urgent questions, they are answered in a timely manner through Colorado Children’s MyChart system via email. Overall, Dr. DeBoer is a wonderful physician and I would recommend her for any child. If you want a doctor who refuses to call you back and refuses to answer any simple questions without seeing you then this is the doctor for you. She doesn't listen to your concerns/questions and won't give you the time of day unless you have an appointment. I highly do NOT recommend this doctor. I like doctors that show they care about my child and his heath.
