I have been going for years! Dr. Sergi is very thorough, kind, and very accommodating. I highly recommend it.

Dr Sergi, did an excellent job on removable of my right greater toe Bunion… the incision was seamless and was done at the lateral side of my toe. The office staff ensures that you keep your appointment and is extremely accommodating. The post- up care was great, bandage changed and additional recommendation made… It’s been a year, swelling is nonexistent and incision although slightly visible is flat…I still have slight numbness, but, no pain from the beginning of the surgery. NO PAIN. I was back in sneakers approximately one month after surgery. But wore my orthopedic boot, whenever standing to protect surgery site( very important),and prevent weight bearing even when going to the bathroom… which Dr Sergi STRESSES. You must also do your part as a patient. Additionally, you can get the ice machine, if covered by insurance that’s recommended fir pain. However, my friend that recommended Dr Sergi did not use, as her insurance didn’t cover and she did well also…Dr Sergi and his partner come highly recommended. Silverberg is again at it, trying to deceive unsuspecting patients into fake procedures by a highly, highly, inept, inadequate, highly deceptive and extremely immoral person. NOTHING he recommends is necessary, as he just want to rip you off at the cost of your health and well being.

I had a bunion that was hurting all the time on my right foot. I was highly recommended to go to Citi Footcare by a few of my friends who already had bunion surgery. My initial consultation was with Dr. Silverberg and Dr. Sergi and upon consultation, I knew I was at the right place. Both doctors made me feel relaxed and cared for. They took the time to listen to my concerns and also explained about my bunion and what treatment plan they recommended in detail. I ended up having my bunion removed and am so happy with the results. My main surgeon was Dr. Sergi with Dr. Silverberg assisting. Throughout the healing process, both doctors were available always just a phone call away. They answered all my concerns post surgery and I cannot thank them enough for their unbelievable bedside manner. Dr. Sergi is knowledgeable and has good experience of fixing foot problem. He explains clearly the operation procedure and post-op care. He has confidence in his operation. He is also considerate of patient and has a warm heart to wrap surgical foot with bright color bandage. This is my third week since my surgery and I feel good to see my foot is free of bunion. Just plain horrible. Silverberg has no idea what it means to provide service to a patient with care and thought and knowledge. Just a cracker jack box degree and has no clue about anything to do with medical treatment or people!!! Please stay away and do yourself a massive favor!!!

FAKE and a FRAUD Silverberg was not able to identify my problem, didn't help me with my foot pain, doesn't know how to deal with origins of foot pain, indifferent, greedy con artist. Dr. Sergi and Dr. Silverberg are the best foot surgeons in New York City! This is my 2nd successful surgery (the 1st was on my left foot about 6 years ago; the 2nd was a more complicated bunion and hammer toe procedure on my right foot a few months ago.) So I am a repeat patient with two wonderful outcomes. Dr. Sergi was EXACTLY what I needed for my first podiatry appointment. He worked quickly and was very gentle (considering the pain I was in at the time). My surgery went as planned and I was left very happy. For those who are a little squeamish, he has great hands (I didn't feel the prick in my foot for lidocaine) My foot is healing very well :) IF I were to need something in the future, I'm definitely coming back. Dr. Sergi is incredible. I visited him after I received a glowing recommendation from a colleague of mine. I had a bunion on my left foot that was painful for years. I visited another podiatrist before Sergi and I was rushed out of the office. Going to see Sergi was the best thing I've ever done! The office staff was also so nice and helpful. He took his time to explain to me why I had the bunion in the first place (because I am flat footed) and what exactly he would do to correct it. He answered every one of my many questions in as much detail as possible. After the surgery, he called me the next day to see how I was doing. I was lucky to not even experience much pain at all. He was available 24/7 via phone or text. I called and texted him on many occasions, even on the weekends, and he responded right away. He truly cared about how I was recovering and it was a very smooth process. I am now 8 weeks post-surgery and you can barely see my incision! I had my left foot done about 5 months ago. I have to say my experience was very positive. Both Dr. Silverberg and Dr. Sergi were very attentive and answered all my questions. Surgery went great and recovery has been smooth. I went back to work after 2 weeks at home!. I know I am still not done in my recovery but I love my foot and most importantly, the pain is gone! I had a great experience with Dr Sergi. My appointments were always on time, the surgical unit was wonderful-- very efficient and helpful. My surgery went exactly as Dr Sergi indicated-- I was without pain and followed his instructions to the letter. I have referred him to a good friend, who also had excellent results! Dr. Silverberg's surgery put my back on the hiking trails after several years of frustration with pain from Morton's neuroma on both feet. When I first met Dr. Silverberg, I was very impressed by his vibrant energy, positive attitude, and the patience he displayed when answering all of my questions concerning having foot surgery done. I eventually had bilateral bunion surgery. Dr. Silverberg explained, in great detail, what I may expect after surgery. He was always available via phone calls or texts. I followed his post-op plan so my recovery went well. After about 4 weeks I was back wearing sneakers, then progressed into shoes and eventually heels. (I'm not over doing the heels as yet ????) Just started to go here, he takes his time, has amazing equipment to view the foot and ankle and explains what he is doing in plain English so I feel comfortable and know what the progression will be.

Outstanding care - professional, pleasant, with great patient focus. I received a consistently high level of care not only from Dr Silverberg but from every member of his office. Highly recommended.

I can only echo the sentiments of all the other reviewers in that he was able to see me in a timely fashion and was not only knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and helpful, but also had a very pleasing personality. After suffering for 4 months with severe plantar fasciitis and a torn plantar fascia, he came up with alternative methods to surgery which have eased the pain and will, hopefully, heal this extremely painful condition completely. His staff was also very efficient and conscientious. He has my highest recommendation. I am going to start by saying Dr. Silverberg is one of the most conscientious doctors I have ever met. I am 6 weeks post operation and all I can say is that I couldn't be happier with the care from him and his staff. I met Dr. Silverberg after researching the web for solutions to my problem, which was a severe case of hammertoes in both feet. Previously I made appointments with local podiatrists, who all said the same thing, "Oh yeah, we'll just cut and pin your toes." None of them treated my problem with the seriousness I thought my feet deserved. I live in Florida and I decided if I wasn't happy with the care from local doctors then I needed to look for solutions elsewhere. Looking on the internet I discovered Dr. Silverberg's website. I was impressed by the rave reviews from all his prior patients. Not only that, his website showed many before and after pictures of patients he had treated and some had problems similar to my own. Looking further at his website I found he had created a way using screws and not pins to anchor the bones during surgery. He uses screws that he created and had made specifically for the way he operates. This got my attention. Additionally I found out he was a carpenter before being a podiatrist. Now I was really interested because I have done carpentry work all my life and working with my hands and tools always gives me great satisfaction. I had to meet Dr. Silverberg and hopefully he would be the right doctor for me. I made an appointment and off to New York City I went. My wife, and my daughter who is a nurse, went along on the trip. All three of us went to the appointment and I was surprised when Dr. Silverberg himself came to the waiting area to take us back to the examining room. I don't know what he thought of us as he went about examining my feet. But I can tell you it didn't take long before my impression of him was confirmed. He was very thorough and listened intently to me describe my problem. I don't think I really had to tell him. We talked about how he would correct my feet. He said he needed to look at X-rays to be sure. I expected to be escorted to by an assistant to get X-rayed. Nope. Dr. Silverberg himself took the X-rays. In fact that's when I realized he didn't have assistant's at all. He does all the patient care himself. He gives such personalized service. And by the way, all the staff in his office also treat you this way. During the whole appointment I never felt rushed. I never felt he was hurrying me along. He was very patient. We spoke about the logistics of having surgery in NYC. He explained everything and accommodated me on my concerns of doing both feet two weeks apart, pre-op and post-op appts., how soon after surgery could I fly home, etc..He gave me his private cell phone number and told me to call if I had any questions when I got home. Surgery was at Gramercy Surgery Center. The people there made me feel relaxed and the facilities were excellent. Everything went well. Two weeks after the first surgery I was back there for the second foot. Again the surgery by Dr. Silverberg went great. After each surgery I stayed a week in a hotel and then after a post-op appt., flew home. Both times Dr. Silverberg called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing. Also, the nurse from the surgery center called to check on me. So now I'm 6 weeks and 4 weeks post-op on my left and right foot respectively. I'm just back from a trip up and back in one day to NYC to see Dr. Silverberg for a follow-up visit. I will be going back in a couple months to have the screws removed. Dr. Silverberg assures me that it won't hurt. It is really great to finally place my feet on the ground and see my toes flat and straight. No more bunched up and crooked toes. No more pulling tendons. If you're thinking of having foot surgery don't hesitate to see Dr. Silverberg. I assure you that you will be more than satisfied. I am. I have never written a review about a doctor before, but found it necessary in this instance. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Silverberg! It is not often that you come across a doctor as adept as he is. Almost more impressive than his vast knowledge, is his bedside manner. The compassion and heart that this doctor has for his patients and his work is unparalleled. I started seeing Dr. Silverberg back in April for a painful ingrown toenail and he recommended a minor surgical procedure as the best remedy. He worked to accommodate my busy schedule and made time for the procedure that same week. Dr. Silverberg did a fantastic job of putting my mind at ease throughout the entire process and the procedure was painless. He told me the healing process should take a few days and then I would be back on my feet. To my dismay, a few days passed and I was still not at 100% (my body never seems to recuperate as fast as most peoples). Now here is what separate’s Dr. Silverberg from any other doctor I have ever met: I called him up on a weekend to explain my discomfort. From that day forward, he checked on me every single day to make sure I was healing properly. Under his close care, I was back up and running in no time. I have been a patient for Dr. Sergi for a little over a year now. I had never had surgery before and was very anxious at first. After thoroughly speaking to Dr. Sergi and several appointments, I decided to go through with the surgery. Before the surgery, Dr. Sergi made sure that I was well aware of how the surgery was going to go and how to care for my foot after the surgery. He also made sure to explain to me the prescriptions that I would need to take. Dr. Sergi was very informative and very patient with me. Dr. Sergi performed bunion surgery on my left foot in October of 2015. I write this review to tell anyone who is considering this surgery and is looking for a top notch podiatrist that they need look no further. I have been to several podiatrists over the years, as I am a Type 1 diabetic, and he is by far the best. I was nervous to have the surgery, but Dr. Sergi patiently answered all my questions (some more than once) and put my fears to rest. During the consultation, you realize that he is accomplished and skilled and this is proven after the surgery. One week after the surgery the bandage was removed and I was amazed at the minimal scarring. Two months after the surgery, you can hardly see the scar. I’ve never had surgery before and my foot was really causing me a lot of pain. I don’t even like needles, so I am not one to subject myself to surgery, very lightly. My sister, recommended Dr. Sergi to me and gave him glowing reviews. Yet, I was still really nervous, but I after I met with him those feelings of anxiety went away. I’ve consulted and seen other podiatrists and each time I either felt very rushed in getting my questions answered, pressured into surgery or pushed into a physical therapy that didn’t even help or address the problems I was having with my foot. Dr. Sergi was not like any of the other doctors I’ve experienced. He was amazing! He showed me how to do a simple stretch, to help to repair my falling arch, where another doctor sent me to months of unsuccessful physical therapy to improve. To make a long story short, Dr. Sergi performed my surgery, I experienced very little pain (believe me, I’m a big wimp when it comes to pain), my recovery time was phenomenal and I have almost no scar (from the incision). What else can I add that others haven't already stated. You can't have 5 stars if you're not knowledgeable, confident, empathetic, Forthright and thorough. The fact that his staff is courteous, might also have contributed to his ratings. :-) He knows his field. It's comforting.

Dr Lawrence is a professional attentive and caring podiatrist. He was able to diagnose a problem that several other doctors could not figure out. He made me feel at ease during my procedure. I would highly recommend Dr Lawrence.

I had the smallest piece of glass in my foot, which Dr. Silverberg probably learned about in the first five minutes of med school, and that was it. He could have treated me as if I didn't exist, but instead he made me feel like I was a worthwihile patient and that he enjoyed having such an easy procedure once in awhile. Dr Lawrence Silverberg performed Bunion surgery (keller Procedure) for my left big toe joint four months ago. After a decade of suffering with chronic pain and discomfort resulting from the use of this severely arthritic joint, I finally feel relief. My left big toe joint actually has flex to it! Something I have not seen in almost a decade as the joint was fused with arthritic growth and massive in size. I cannot sufficiently thank Dr Lawrence for restoring my ability to walk or do other exercises without the suffering that was associated with it for so long. I heard about Dr. Silverberg from a friend who had a great experience with her surgery. After decades of shooting pain and a toe pointing at a 45 degree angle, I made an appointment. I am beyond pleased. Thrilled. He's amazing - took the time to explain everything in detail, patient, kind, and funny. He follows up with you the day after the surgery with genuine concern for your comfort. I no longer experience any pain. My toe is perfectly straight and even my callouses disappeared. I have been a patient of Dr. Sergi for almost 3 years now. I first went to him when I tore my ligament under my big toe, which was a very painful experience. He helped me through the entire process and never suggested surgery unless I absolutely needed it. He prefers the more conservative approach, so I was glad to hear that I didn't have to undergo surgery. I finally healed after a month and was able to go back to my normal running routine. However over a year later I started to have pain in the ball of the same foot. Dr. Sergi finally suggested surgery, as he said that was the only option after we already exhausted all conservative measures. I was hesitant at first, but as I was only in my 20s, I didn't want to have this pain for the rest of my life. Dr. Sergi took his time to explain everything in a separate meeting and patiently answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. When I finally decided to go through with the surgery, I scheduled it at a time where I could rest for two weeks straight, which was very important for the healing process. Dr. Sergi's methods are unique from other surgeons. I only needed to take Vicodin twice on the day of the surgery, which seemed to be unusual for this type of surgery. I followed his tips and had a successful healing time. I was out of a medical shoe and into a sneaker 3 weeks after surgery, and then began physical therapy, which I highly recommend. I cannot believe that just six weeks ago I was reading five-star testimonials written by Dr Silverberg’s patients, and waiting for my own foot surgery, wishing to join those happy people. Now happily; I am the one writing here and trying to find the best words in order to express my thanks and appreciation to my dear doctor Lawrence Silverberg. Thank you Dr. Silverberg and your lovely staff. Also thanks to Gramercy Surgical Center who also got five-star ratings from me. For those who are interested in reading patients experiences about the foot surgeries, here is my story. I had a painful bunion in my right foot, and suffered for years avoiding sports, dance and even walking. I saw many doctors over the years and always put off the surgery reasoning pain, risks, long recovery, discomfort and inconvenience. When pain started to effect the quality of my life, I started to consider options but still scared of surgery. In my case I made up my mind after the first appointment with Dr Silverberg and I wanted him to perform my surgery. First impression was different this time. He is the first and only doctor so far who came to the waiting area to greet me and follow me to the exam room. Amazingly his exam already starts there as he carefully watches and evaluates the way you walk and how you use your feet. The camera to take 3-D foot photos for orthopedics, and x-ray machines are state of the art. He answers all your questions with confidence and knowledge. You just tell he is compassionate for his patients and loves his profession. Anyway, here I am just completed my six weeks after the surgery. I cannot describe the joy of seeing the foot without the unsightly bump and feeling no pain. To my amazement, I did not have any pain at all during these six weeks and did not have even one painkiller. I had no bleeding, no swelling, no numbness and no redness. All my friends are amazed too. He has extraordinary surgical skills and knowledge. As for the recovery time, I took some time off from office work because of my long commute that includes driving, hopping on-off trains, walking in the underground subway tunnels etc. Otherwise, it would be possible to return to work even after the first week if not earlier. Dr. Silverberg presented me with a clear treatment plan and at no time did I feel pressured. He made me fell comfortable instilled confidence with his kind nature and professionalism. It was a phenomenal experience from the initial consultation, pre-surgery preparation, surgery and follow-up visits. His approach to patient care, willingness to explain the procedure and answer all your questions, surgical skills and genuine interest in his patients were far, far better than what I had expected. I had bunion surgery about two months ago. It was extremely large, about the size of a walnut. My procedure took a little more than an hour, and to my amazement, I felt absolutely no pain during or anytime after the surgery. In a few weeks, I was able to walk fairly normally. I've seen Dr. Silverberg 3 times now and have spoken with Norma the receptionist several times. Every experience has been great. Norma is always very nice over the phone and always uses my name. Dr. Silverberg has always been punctual, upfront about medical options, and genuinely adds the personal touch to his practice.

I have really bad flat feet so I've been to about 6 or 7 podiatrists over the years - I have to say, Dr. Silverberg is by far the best I've experienced. Really friendly and super knowledgable, he explained to me (in language I understood) the mechanics of the foot and what caused my left foot in particular to form a bunion. Last week, I had surgery (performed by Dr. Silverberg) and my recovery has been virtually painless. I had heard some horror stories from friends about bunion surgery so I was a bit nervous about the recovery process - but it's been great. Dr. Silverberg even called the next day to check in on me. Also, Dr. Silverberg has always run on schedule with me (in fact, for my last appointment, he took me 20 minutes early). This is important because I usually schedule appointments during lunch breaks.
