I am a former patient of Dr Tandetet....he was always respectful knowlrdgeablr and always assisted me with my medical needs

After a Hospital stay where Tandeter was the doctor on call, I received a bill from his Chicago office that was for"subsequent" Hospital care?? Charges exceeded your contracted insurance payment?? I called the his office and requested an itemized bill of everything that he allegedly did and I was met with giggles from his one of his office workers. That response reaffirmed what I already knew. This was crookery being perpetrated for sure. There was NO subsequent care , in fact Tandeter was so arrogant that there is no way I would have continued on with him as a primary. The itemized dates listed were also after my hospital stay? In fact that particular hospital was held accountable for their dishonesty, and they had to repay my insurance company back almost 100K because they also listed dozens of fake procedures. Make sure you you review your bills with a very fine tooth comb. And utilize an attorney if needed. In my opinion Tandeter gives the practice a bad name. Beware!

Very friendly. Good sense o humor. Spent time explaining what was wrong with me. Took good care of me.

This Dr. cannot be trusted. He's typical of the money hungry Doctors of today that see health insurance as a meal ticket and decide to perform and bill the health insurance for unnecessary procedures or for things that could have been handled more efficiently. He's cocky and rude and not very knowledgeable when it comes to patient care.This Doctor decided he would rather have me ( the patient) continue come to him monthly for chalked up charges that should have been stopped months earlier instead by doing one or two simple tests that would have resolved the issue. This is not a Doctor that gives respect to his title or to the people who's paying him. The insurance company was advised and is going to move forward with an investigation. My advise be deligent with all doctors and if you suspect fraud or mistreatment report it immediately. And if you feel the Doctor does not have your best interest at heart fire him and find a better physician. This Doctor and those like him should be jailed!!! This Dr. cannot be trusted. I called to get a referral for my mother-in-law and the receptionist Delia kept giving me the run around. I couldn't imagine being treated like that as a patient. At that very moment I understood my elderly mother in law's frustration. They seem to act like they are doing favors. First, I asked if they could fax over the referral to the eye doctor since she had been there the week before. She wanted me to call the eye doctor and ask them to call their office on why my mother in law was going in there again (how would they know they haven't seen her yet. Her eyes hurt!) So I call the eye doctor they said to tell her doctor in was an emergency visit...... ok. I speak to Delia again I said they told me to tell you its an emergency visit. Delia says "whats the code?" Im like, "what code you didn't say anything about a code?" I asked if she could make things easier by calling them directly and asking them what they need? She said, "no we don't do that." At this point I am upset I called the eye doc to three way with Delia but somebody else answers the phone and says Delia is on the other line and it will be 10 minutes. I asked her if she could help me then since the eye doc was on the line. then she places us on hold. Now Delia comes back and says I called the eye doc and I am faxing over the referral right now. THANK YOU!!!!! 20 minutes later when it could have been done in 2!! She did get really nice when I asked to speak to Dr. Tandeter. He did call me back in a timely fashion. I was expecting a little more from him though. I mean they are all getting paid right why so I still have to feel like they are doing favors. I never got an apology for the treatment. He did say however that he had spoken to Delia and that from then on they will call the Docs office directly. Sorry if this explanation got you dizzy you could only imagine how I felt.
