Dr Pineda is the most caring, professional doctor I have ever dealt with in my 68 years. Simply stated he is the very best.

Dr Pineda is very professional and friendly. However, the management must train its staff esp. the front desk employees and the medical assistants. They were very unfriendly and each time I call, the rep did feel like answering my questions. I was asking forJane (Dr Pineda's assistant) but she always advised me that she would return the call. Unfortunately, she has not to date. She didn't even see me in person but the front desk rep took the documents that were time sensitive. This was and still is not acceptable. He went out of his way to get me resources I need. Very thorough.

Without being too graphic , needed to go visit for a small test to see if I was allergic to certain chemicals or not. It will let me know in a few days. The test is easy and simple , great doctors to visit too, always busy but have time for the patient. No pamphlet available but can look up by title above.

Based on my 50 years of professional experience as a lawyer with doctors and hospitals and way more years than that in personal experience with doctors including being married to one for 22 years Dr Pineda gets my 5 star rating for both competency and caring.

Dr Pineda is the best doctor/surgeon I have meet in a long time. My daughter was faced with a life threatening condition from another surgery and they brought him in to treat her at San Antonio Hospital. From day 1 ….I felt comfortable with him. He was always available and explained every procedure thoroughly. He was honest, full of patience with our questions and kind. He did a wonderful job treating my daughter and getting her the best possible care. My daughter also says there has been no issue with the follow-up visits. I just want to say thank you Dr. Pineda! In reading the negative review of Dr. Pineda, while I'll not dispute someone's else's personal experiences, I will say we have always found Dr. Pineda to be one of the most compassionate, considerate and approachable doctors we've ever dealt with. He also treated my father's prostate cancer as well as me personally. Our family wishes he was in general practice so he could be our primary care doctor. We honestly can't recommend him highly enough.

I was on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up and left a message, I'll change my score if the service improves from here.

How long does someone have to wait to speak to someone!!!!!! I was on hold listening to that recording for 8 minutes. Not for me.

I like Dr. Pineda but front office staff is awful. They are rude, horrible with follow up and the simple task of making an appointment is a nightmare. Typical to wait on hold for at least 15 minutes, someone answers and puts you on hold again then after a while it transfers you to a voicemail.

My father used to be Dr. Pineda's prostate cancer patient. At one of our visits Dr. Pineda threw a tantrum about my father rescheduling his last appointment and said that if we don't follow his rules then we can look for another Urologist. He then proceeded to walk out of the room. Dr. Pineda seems very volatile and has no compassion for his patients. He has no business treating any patients especially patients with a terminal illness like cancer.

My only problem was the 1 and 1/2 hour wait. The woman at the desk who asked for my insurance card and ID was so friendly and nice. She called me Miss Susan. I have gone to so many doctor's offices where the staff was brusque and not smiling. She was cheerful and warm. Dr Pineda is professional, personable, friendly and very thorough.
