Dr. Ellen J Flinchum

I've gone to Dr Flinchum for over 3 yrs now. I am a patient who has chronic pain in my joints and muscles, as I have several health issues. This doctor is hot and cold but mostly non caring about pain management or developing a treatment plan to help you cope any better. She lacks understanding of Lupus and its many faces nor does she care I stayed with her bc I thought all pain management Dr's were the same but they are not! Do yourself a favor and keep looking! My first visit wasn't the best in the world. But on my second one Dr Flinchum seemed very genuine and was much more laid back. If you imagine the responsibility she has it helps understand the needing to be callus.

Don’t waste your time and money! You would think that a doctor who treats people with chronic pain would have a little compassion-well not this woman! I was a nurse in a doctor’s office for 20+ years- know how to deal with people who are sick/hurting! I went to her for help, not to be dictated!I do not consider myself a “drinker”. MAYBE every 3 months, I might have 1 drink when I go to dinner with friends. She preceded to tell me that if I wanted to see her, I was not allowed to have ANY alcohol. I agreed not to drink-I really don’t care if I do or not. After seeing her for 6 months, I took in a bottle of CBD gummies that I tried, had taken 12 of them to be exact. She was so mad and told me that I was not allowed to take any type of hemp or CBD products and that I HAD to check with her before I took ANYTHING OVER THE COUNTER! She then had me do a urine test and when I went back, she dismissed me for alcohol in my urine-LOL!!!! I had NOT had anything to drink!!!!! Would not recommend!

Very rude with a poor bedside manner. Displays no capacity to use common sense when approaching issues and repeats herself like a broken record once she has latched onto something that is not relevant. Would not recommend her.

If you are in pain don't even think of stopping here. This is no doctor. Came in the room and began rude behavior without even listening. My previous pain dr. was great but this quack just barked out what she would not do: without examination or listening. When I lost my dr. I had to stretch out what meds I had and supplement with Motrin and hydro from family doc to survive. Family doc approved it. Flinchum kept repeating (inappropriate behavior). I asked what to do to live. Evaded my question
