Dr. Pernal was awesome but that receptionist is horrible. It’s really sad because the doctor is excellent. I hated to leave but refused to be disrespected.

Whoever answers the phones for pts explaining what is going on and turning pts away is rude!

The best obgyn. Dr. Pernal delivered my last two kids & that's been many yrs ago. I'm much older now, I'm still a patient currently. She's very sweet & caring, love her!

Receptionist was extremely rude.

Dr. Pernal was friendly and efficient. If you want lots of silly chatting, she's not the doctor for you. But if you want a smart doctor who doesn't waste your time but thoroughly answers your concerns, she's great. I'm glad I switched to her.

Reading these reviews I’m shocked because, I have never experienced any rude staff at all. I had Dr. Pernal about 11 years ago. I moved out of town for some years. Recently moved back and was happy that Dr. Pernal was still in town. I have been back with her for over a year now and again have never experienced rude staff.

Dr Pernal was seeing my daughter as a favor to me because I have been a patient for years. However, the front desk lady was so rude when my daughter went saying she did not have an appointment when it was rescheduled last week because of a cancellation. Why does Dr Pernal tolerate this?Reading other comments it is a common thread of her treating people this way. Don’t work in a people oriented job if you don’t like people. If I didn’t like Dr Pernal I would switch in a minute. The receptionist always has an attitude with me as well.

Dr Pernal was the best obgyn I have ever had. She helped me manage my endometriosis by helping my pain to be alleviated and seeking treatment for my infertility issues. She is the most knowledgeable about endometriosis, if you have this condition she is your doctor. She is incredible.

I would not recommend this office to anyone. The receptionist are horrible !

I have been a patient of Dr Pernal she is amazing but one star don't go to her , unfortunately its for her front desk ladies, gosh they need to retrain them on inter personal relationship. They are rude, picky and totally different when it comes to a lady business. They are completely unprofessional.

Let me make this clear-I have never seen this physician in her office. I can tell you that I will NEVER see her in her office. I’m fairly new to this area and was searching for an OBGYN for yearly exams and other reasons. I did a Google search and found Dr. Pernal. After reading the horrible reviews that her office received, I certainly will NOT be going to her. This comment just goes to show how powerful “word of mouth” can be! Maybe this “1 star review “ will make Dr. Pernal open her eyes as to what is being said about her practice! Had to change doctors because my last one up and left the practice. Called this office in distress because I needed a new doctor quick so I could have my yearly exam. Front desk was wonderful!!!

Dr. Pernal delivered my son 19 years ago. I have always loved her. She is gentle and explains everything while she does it. No surprises with Dr. Pernal

I only gave 1 star bcuz of the front desk people, but Dr. Pernal is awesome and gets 5 stars. The staff is not friendly and they told me that i couldn't be seen due to me not being seen in the office for 7 years but i know it hasn't been 7 years but why couldn't i just be seen as a new patient in that case? I'm 42 and I've been seeing her since i was 42. That front staff can be very rude and nasty and you don't need to be dealing with the public with an attitude like that! Had her as a doctor - she delivered my child - and could no longer use her when my insurance changed. I had at one point asked for a records transfer - new doc never got them. I got a bill in the mail for the records, called about it, and was told it was for a records transfer. I explained that it never happened but I no longer needed them anyway. I was told that it was fine and cleared up and no need to worry about it. I got a new job and now have insurance that as I understand it Dr. Pernal takes. Called today and after the receptionist looked me up said RUDELY we can’t take you back. Huh? I asked whether it was that they don’t take my insurance. . No, she said. “We can’t take you back”. I said oh is this regarding the records transfer that never happened? She said yes. I said so this is over a $25 bill that was supposedly cleared up several years ago? I was told yes. I said so that’s it? That’s the end of this conversation? “Yes. We can’t take you back. That’s it.” There’s no one I can talk to? I asked. Nope we can’t take you back, she said. Dr. Pernal is outstanding however her rude, unprofessional receptionist needs to look for another job her work ethics and customer service skills are horrible. She literally hung up in my ear on yesterday, 9/10/2019. I called back and the nurse that was working anwsered the phone. I explained to her what had happened and ask to speak directly to Dr. Pernal, she stated to me that "Dr. Pernal was on vacation and basically there was no one who could handle the situation." I informed the nurse that "as a patient that has been coming there for quite sometime, didnt appreciate how i was treated and that, that type of behavior will cause them to loss business." She stated, "we're really busy and basically losing a patient would not hurt them"...smhhhh What kind of stuff is that? I was referred to them by my previous doctor who i loved, trusted and went to for over 20 years. He left the country and I miss him and his staff greatly. DR. Had not been in couple of years tried to make an appointment but the receptionist was so rude, hateful and nasty I'm just taking my dollars else where, it's a shame because Dr. Pernal is a very nice and caring doctor.

Showed up to make an appointment was rudely received by receptionist. Back to the search for a new gynecologist too bad because I only heard good things about Dr Pernal.

I told her I was having horrible pains and endometriosis ran in my family and because I was young she didn’t take me seriously! I found help elsewhere they performed surgery and burned my endo off. Then I was having reoccurring cysts and I went to schedule an appointment because of the pain and I wanted to make sure my cyst wasn’t large and the receptionist was so rude. I have been a patient of Dr. Pernal for over 22 years. And she is a great doctor.

I HAVE NEVER MET DR. PERNAL. I CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN APPT AS A NEW PATIENT. AFTER SPEAKING WITH DONNA, I IMMEDIATELY TOLD HER TO CANCEL MY APPT. SHE WAS VERY RUDE. THE FIRST IMPRESSION MEANS ALOT, DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE THE DR. OR THE OFFICE STAFF. KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. I WORK IN HEALTHCARE, AND ALTHOUGH A PATIENT DOES NOT WANT TO COME TO THE HOSPITAL, SHOWING COMPASSION & KINDNESS MEANS A LOT TO THEM. DR. PERNAL SHOULD DO A WORKSHOP ON HOW TO TREAT PATIENTS.

I didn’t even get the opportunity to meet Dr. Pernal, but I believe your staff is a reflection of you and let me just say the staff answering the phones are completely ignorant. I simply tried to make an appointment and in return got ignorance and sass. There is no reason to treat people in such a way, and if you lack people/communication skills then you shouldn’t be the one answering phones period. I refuse to be treated such a way. If your treated like that over the phone imagine in person.

I've been a patient of Dr. Pernal's for 18 years. I've been through a lot with her & love her as a Doctor and a person. However, her front desk receptionist is extremely rude. She screens her calls, which is extremely unprofessional!! I want to talk to my Doctor, not sharing personal information with some receptionist! I once called to schedule an appointment for my daughter to have a test done. She asked my daughters age & told me my insurance won't cover it because she's too young.

Been Going to Dr Pernal for years. She is a good doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pernal for many years. She delivered my first two children. She is a very nice doctor but her secretary is not. She keep cutting me off and was very cold towards me. After asking her several times to let me finish my sentence, she called me rude! Then she put me on hold. When she took me off of hold l. She acted as if nothing had happened. I tried to recap the situation. She then stated "Well ok now we're over that". When asked how to complain. I was told I couldn't.

If i could give her 0 stars I would. After years of coming into her office with abdominal pain, heavy periods, missed periods, and being in so much pain I could hardly stand she pretty much did nothing for me. Later went to another doctor to find out I had a severe hormone imbalance and PCOS. Do not recommend her at all.

I don't know what has happened to this office.... the new girl at the front desk is awful! She is consistently rude and Unaccommodating! I don't know what happened to that last receptionist, but they should have kept her! She was awesome! On top of the rude front desk, the nurse was in a mood and the doctor couldn't get out of my room fast enough! This office has gone down hill and it's disappointing to say the least??

Dr.pernal is very nice person. She makes her patients very comfortable that they can discuss their problems in v friendly environment. But front desk staff needs to change their attitude. Lady at front desk always been v rude.

Dr. P is great as is her nurse, however her front office receptionist is sullen and unfriendly to the point of rudeness, on a consistent basis, very unpleasant.
