Elizabeth Ann Kennard

We received care in December 2021 and January 2022 with Ohio Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Kennard was our primary physician. We met with her via telehealth and explained our concerns regarding fertility. Instead of making us feel as though she cared, she spent the first 13 minutes of our appointment telling us that we were "grandma killers" because we were not yet vaccinated for COVID. She eventually stopped when my husband asked her if she was billing us for this lecture. Our initial appointment ended with recommendations for medication and standard fertility treatment procedures. We began following protocol from a distance, due to COVID. Eventually, I became pregnant. My husband and I were overjoyed! This is what we came here for. We thought that ORM would share our sentiment. We immediately scheduled an ultrasound with them. We got in contact with my regular OB, who was worried about the pregnancy due to low progesterone. We feared the worst, but were looking forward to at least seeing a picture of our baby if anything. We had our appointment for the ultrasound with Dr. Kennard in January 2022. When we entered the office, my husband was immediately kicked out. "No family members allowed!" they said. I tried to explain that this might be the only time my husband and I could see our baby, and I wanted to experience my first ultrasound and pregnancy with my husband by my side. The front desk staff refused. We decided it was fine, COVID was a difficult time for everyone. When I got to the ultrasound room, I was crying a bit. Dr Kennard entered the room. She took one look at me and told me to “suck it up” and that it was not a big deal. She looked at the fetus and said that it doesn’t look like it’s developing correctly. I wasn’t surprised, but still somewhat heartbroken by the news. I asked her for a printout picture. She responded with “Why? Nothing is there anyway, I just said that.” I was stunned. How could anyone say such a thing? I didn’t know what to say, and was still crying, so I just said I wanted one anyway. I got out of the clinic as soon as possible. My entire experience with this clinic has been a nightmare. Please, look for another provider if you are even remotely considering this place. At the very least, please know what Dr. Kennard is really like. I don’t want any couple to go through the same thing we did. The fertility journey is difficult enough, and it doesn’t need to be complicated by blatant unprofessionalism, poor bedside manner, and incompetent staff.

I have had a pleasant experience with Dr. Kennard thus far. She is very compassionate & through in her assessment. Additionally, she took the time to answer my questions & concerns. I would unequivocally recommend her to anyone.

If I could give her 0 stars I would. The whole visit was talking about the covid vaccine. she told me she would rather me smoke than to be unvaccinated. She asked me "why are you looking at me like that" and i responded that "I am not getting the vaccine until further research is out, because the biggest rumor i had heard was that it could cause infertility, let alone the cases of myocarditis." She thoroughly explained that I was not a doctor, she was.. 2 years later, pfizer releases data showing that it does in fact cause infertililty and miscarriages. I have the full 9 pages of known side effects printed off in case I ever need to return, so that I can slap the stack down in front of her as an explanation as to why I do not trust her judgement as a doctor and for why I will never return and why I have and will continue tell others with infertitlity issues not to see her. Any doctor who doesn't specialize in pediatrics or doesn't administer vaccines on a daily basis, or see patients who may have had adverse effects to vaccines in general, has no business shaming and talking down to those who make choices for the sake of their own lives and futures. Let alone, throwing informed consent out the window by withholding information that may support her reasoning for being so pushy about the vaccine, while being dismissive on the subject at hand (infertility). She also ordered a semen analysis for my husband. I got an alert that the results were in, and it showed low liquefaction time. I had called and left a message and asked to know what that meant for us, next steps etc. The nurses response (in a voice message) was that the liquefaction time was slow. Duh! thats exactly what the results said! I made a return call reiterating the questions I had (in a voice message), and once again the nurse left a message stating the same thing as the previous message. So I made a return call, once again stating my question, and asked that they not leave a message and to make sure they actually talk to me so that I could ask follow up questions. Elizabeth called me directly. upon answering, she said "I want you to know that my nurse DID call you TWICE". She was quite annoyed immediately, and it was very obvious. I agreed that she called, but I didn't feel that my question was answered. She asked what my question was, which I repeated for the 4th time. Her response was "I specialize in female infertility, I'm not a urologist" Which was a critical response that really meant "I dont know what that means for you, and how dare you ask me a question I dont know". It seems to me, that she doesn't know a lot of anything that could benefit my husband and I with creating a family. I'd like to add that the nurse was very nice and as helpful as she could be. I just feel bad that she is in such a wonderful field with so much opportunity for growth in knowledge, and the doctor she got stuck with is stunting that growth for her. My wife had a televisit with her and no diagnosis was given or anything just going over medical history and was charged 200 dollars for an office visit with diagnosis.

Dr Kennard has bad bedside manner, worse communication, and is rude and inappropriate. Her team also very poorly communicates. Do not recommend unless you like a doctor who makes rude comments about her other patients and doesn’t listen to your real concerns.

If my review can prevent one person from seeing Dr. Kennard, it will be worth it. I've never reviewed a doctor before, but after my numerous interactions with her I knew I had to speak out. After a few failed IUI's, I had requested a consultation to discuss options with Dr. Kennard-- hoping to brainstorm options for me (bloodwork, ovulation testing methods, medication, etc.). She opened our appointment (this is virtual) and said "Well I saw you on my schedule today [then she inserted major eye roll] and a little angel and devil appeared..." Someone also entered and left the room during our appointment (HIPPA violation). My first time meeting Dr. Kennard in-person, she came into the room and handed me a clipboard to sign. No hello, no greeting, no "it's nice to finally meet you in-person." She spoke only the bare minimum remarks during the procedure letting me know what she was doing to me. I tried to break the tension to ask if they were busy today. Before I knew it, she was halfw

There was not even a millisecond for me to ask a question or about next steps. This was not the "on-call" doctor. This was my assigned, main fertility specialist doctor who I'm paying to help guide me on the most difficult, personal journey of my life. For her to treat me like a number on a conveyor belt is inexcusable. Never in my life have I met such an uncaring, non-empathic, crass doctor. I hope to never interact with someone as insensitive as her in my life. I've interacted with bathroom attendants who show more compassionate than this woman. Please, please do your heart a favor- do not see Dr. Kennard. Find a doctor who will be your advocate, listen to you, show compassion, and guide you through this difficult time.

Our first visit with Dr. Kennard was virtual (understandably so) and first impressions were not great. The experience to follow did not improve. In our virtual conversation she asked me if I thought Covid was real and told me to get the vaccine, which had nothing to do with fertility. It came off as a lecture. Their communication is lacking. I left 3 messages for an rx issue (Fri.) that was time sensitive. While they fixed the issue, which tells me they received those messages, there was no return call until the following week day (Mon.). Going into my first appointment I was seen by Dr. Rossi. There was no discussion of my blood work or what the results meant. I will say, her bed side manner is 100x better than Kennard. Going in for my IUI, this was the first time seeing Dr. Kennard in person. Her bed side manner is terrible. There was no greeting, no explanation for anything. Just handed me a clip board and told me to sign and that the number was X. I got one word answers to my questions and when asked if this this was still unexplained infertility, her response was "appears so". Infertility is hard. It can be isolating and stressful all on it's own. And with Covid it is even harder, because they don't permit you to have your spouse with you. All of this should not be made harder, more stressful or even more isolating by the office who is treating you. Yes, the end goal is to get pregnant; however, you should not be made to feel like you are going through a pregnancy drive through with no human compassion. Wonderful doctor and extremely well qualified and compassionate staff. They practice very careful medicine focused on results and patient care. I can honestly say even when things were not going as we wanted the care was always exceptional and I had no doubt that she and her staff were doing absolutely everything to assist us. We will never forget her help in understanding the medical knowledge relevant for my care and never cease to be grateful for their help in conceiving. Dr. Kennard is knowledgeable, friendly, and more importantly - on your side through a tough process. We were so impressed with her and her staff the first time we worked with them that we have gone back for a second time. Dr Kennard And her team are simply amazing! She is very knowledgeable and is easy to talk to. She answered all of our questions and put our minds at ease during this process and was very patient with all of my ridiculous questions. Her nurses answer all of my questions as well very quickly and are so kind and sweet and are knowledgeable as well. I would definitely recommend DR Kennard and her team!! Was a patient at Ohio Reproductive Medicine was seen by Dr. Elizabeth Kennard. She was very awesome so informational, very caring and listened to me and my husband concerns. She came up with a plan for us and got pregnant after doing our first ever iui. We want to thank Dr. Kennard for everything and will be seeing her again for baby #2.

Dr Elizabeth is honest,transparent ,Caring and very procedural. She is very professional and practical ,listens to you and communicates the situation openly and recommend the best options.We were happy to consult her and would like to thank her and her staff (Terri,Lisa)for being supportive throughout this phase and being with us.

Dr. Kennard and her staff were extremely unprofessional. Not only did they not help me, they referred me to a specialist and then cancelled my appointment with that specialist without notifying me. Now I know why it was so easy to get an appointment with Dr. Kennard..... I wouldn't recommend anyone going to see Dr. Kennard.
