Dr. Elizabeth Muller Hames

She is an excellent doctor. However, the support staff at NSU is just horrible. Things often get lost. I usually need to call in twice per prescription refill because they don't accept faxes from the pharmacies. I usually need to call in 2-3 times at minimum per referral. While I love the doctors, the overhead of working with the overall organization is just too much. Decided to switch to a more efficiently run office.

A family member was scheduled for surgery at Memorial West Hospital, where she had been an employee for 35 yrs. The day before the surgery Dr Hames refused to clear my family member for surgery unless she had surgery at Westside Regional Hospital, a hospital with a lower rating compared to Memorial. Even the insurance company tried to sway her but she refused. This caused so much stress for the entire family, but especially the patient!! We won't be back to Nova if this is their policy!

She spends quality time with me when I have to see her. She answers all the questions I ask and in good detail. She's very professional but caring as well. She discovered with the help of staff members find a health issue with me that no other doctor has done. She is not, however, an alarmist. Really appreciate her thoroughness as my healthcare advisor.
