There can be no better, caring professional service in the area. My wife and I are on a 6000 mile cruise on our trawler C.A.L.M. I lost a large filling on Fri. 10th of July. We planed to stay a month at a marina in Cohoes so while at Waterford on Sat. We searched the web for dentistry and read the rave reviews of Elizabeth C. Barra, D.D.S. We called asking to see her during our one month stay. She agreed to see me Mon. 13th and worked on me for the next three days. Crown/two extraction/ cyst removal and cleaning. Dr Barra and Rachel are the best!! I had hip surgery scheduled with 2 weeks notice and had to have a dental clearance. Unknown to me I had to have many things done in a hurry. They fit me in almost everyday to make sure I got no infection!! They are so kind, gentle and caring. I found my forever Dentist.

Hands Down! Best dentist I have ever been too. Her and her staff actually care. You are not just a patient you are a person. I recommend her to anyone.

A nice and friendly environment. Dr. Barra and Rachel are honest people who care for their patients. A nice size office that does not overwhelm you with jam-packed people in a waiting room. Easy parking even when driving a large truck like myself. They certainly do make your visit enjoyable.

Dr. Barra is a true professional with vast technical knowledge and experience. Being a practicing professional, you can tell when someone is truly an expert in their field. I had a construction accident where my front teeth were shattered and mostly gone. An ER nurse did a search for dentists who take workman's comp insurance, and found only one...Dr. Barra. Dr. Barra did such an amazing job, with porcelain fronts and gold backs.. unbelievably beautiful work and quality, and she had to really fight with the workman's comp insurance company to get them to cover all of it. She is one of my heros.

Dr Barra has always been there for me when I've had a toothache and seen me right away.she really cares about me even though I don't schedule regular appointments . Dr Barra and Rachel make going to the dentist fun.

Like many I’m guessing, going to the dentist growing up had never been an enjoyable experience for myself. Since changing to dr. Barra’s office, almost a decade ago now, it has become a visit I look forward to. Not like your typical stuffy medical office, but rather homey. Dr. Barra and support staff, Rachel, are always so friendly and helpful and work seamlessly together. I’ve had various types of work done over the years, which I’ve always been pleased with, and appreciated them seeing me urgently (and sometimes off hours) when I had an emergency. Been taking me son here since last year. He absolutely loves dr barra. She’s great with children, (a mother of 6 I believe she said!) so it just comes naturally. Her work is painless as he watches his favorite shows (loves the Mickey Mouse tv) and we are in and out no problem! I would recommend to anyone

I have been a patient since Dr. Barra started in practice, and have been coming to her ever since. She has been great with my children from the time they were babies, and my husband and I continue to come for all of our dental work. And, she’s great about getting us in right away when we have any emergency.

One of the best, if not the best dentist I have ever been to. Her office was so clean and friendly and I don't think I have ever had more painless dentistry. She extracted a wisdom tooth of which I had no pain or swelling at all- unlike I did when other wisdom teeth were removed by another dentist. When a bridge put in by my other dentist broke, Elizabeth got me right in and made me a replacement for half the cost- and Dr. Barra's teeth were so much more beautiful than the original ones too.

Dr Barra shouldn't even be a dentist. If I could give her a -5, I would. In less than a year I had 3 teeth done by her and two broke completely when I take very good care of my teeth and the other has swelling around and I've been to a new dentist who told me that the break came from my previous dentist not doing the job correctly. When I was going there, she had people calling all the time and her receptionist told me she was being sued. I then cut ties there when I told her I needed a root canal in a tooth because it had sensitivity with hot and cold and she told me I was wrong, and I know better than that. She also told me how sorry she was one day for pulling the wrong tooth on accident. Dr. Barra should focus on her patients, not her personal life and the phone and taking care of 3 patients at a time. Also clean your tools because you have a tendency to take tools from one exam room to the next. Dr Barra shouldn't even be a dentist. If I could give her a -5, I would. Dr. Barra has always been there for my entire family, went above and beyond for my Dad when he was facing radiation, she's not only professional and does excellent work, but she's also understanding and kind which has meant so much to my family. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Recently i had a situation where I was flossing my back teeth and my floss got stuck in one upper tooth and it simply would not come out from the intersection of the two upper right teeth. I panicked and began pulling the floss as hard as i could and then all of a sudden the floss fell out but the damn filling, which had been there for over 25 years, fell out as well ! I just fell apart at the entire simple situation of flossing my teeth. It was late at night and i began feeling uncomfortable
