Dr. Elhamy D. Eskander

Cost $153.29 for him to (mis)read my blood work to me. If you see him, please have your blood work in front of you, and don't be afraid to call him out if he (mis)corrects you to change something you said.

Dr Eskander's office according to the answering service would rather you miss your 4 month check up and have to wait 2 additional months to see you. All because he will not fit you into his schedule. But, if he needs to be off, he's staff makes sure your schedule is rearranged to accommodate him. I have never had an issue until today with this office, very dissatisfied. Yes, I was running very late for my appointment but that is not my fault, I called from my car to try to get seen about 20 minutes late and was turned away. Very disappointing. Mixed. He did not appear to like to answer questions or discuss options. He appeared annoyed when I asked questions and one time said, “let me know if you have any other bright ideas” with a sarcastic tone. I asked at least 5 times for the MD Anderson peer review and was put off - he said there’s no point while you are doing chemo. I did go and get a second opinion and glad I did. On another occasion I had to self diagnosis a situation where he should have caught it during exam.

Dr. Eskander is an extremely caring and good Dr. His bedside manor is excellent, and he does a great job of explaining the medical situation in terms that we can all understand, and he watches out for the patient's best interest at all time, even if it may not be the best decision for the rest of the medical community. If you want a Dr. who really cares about you the patient, Dr. Eskander is the doctor.
