Elena Ocher

I've been a patient of Dr.Ocher for over a decade. She has been the only doctor to actually help me with my chronic migraines and sciatica. She has recently started treating my adult daughter. I have moved to another state and still travel to see her. She has improved my quality of life and that is priceless. Her staff especially Katia always go above and beyond to help us.

Dr Ocher is very caring and amazing at understanding the problem and coming up with a treatment plan that works. She literally saved my life!!

Dr. Ocher is an amazing pain management Dr., I have suffered for years with Neuropathy pain and Arthritis, I went to many Dr.s and found no help. I feel so blessed to have found a place in Brooklyn that can finally treat me. I am so thankful to her and her amazing staff, they are all so kind and tentative to my needs. Suffer no more! Going in, unable to walk. Left feeling good and able to walk.

Dr Ocher has gotten so many of my patients addicted to opiates and has no remorse about never explaining in detail the risks associated with long term rx pain medication. This "Dr" was rude, unkind, and unapologetic about ruining the quality of life for so many people.

Was referred to her for chronic lower back pain. Found her to be very attentive and caring she reviewed my MRI and explained procedure. The injections helped almost immediately. Love her staff all nice caring individuals. She is also treating my husband for back pain. Very satisfied. Highly recommend

The worst, she shouldn't be practicing medicine, lost use of my arm after she gave me one of injections. Almost a year of physical therapy to get partial use of my arm. Not a caring doctor, not a good doctor, one of the worse doctors I've ever saw.

Dr. Elena Ocher is a godsend to me. Being mobility impaired, I use a power chair and Dr. Ocher works with me to address my health concerns and follows up often. Dr. Ocher focuses on the “whole you” and implements a plan of action fast. She’s a trailblazer and goes out of her way to make sure every question is always answered in detail. (That is what I love about her!) Dr. Ocher helps me manage my pain and chronic conditions stemming from flares and severe joint destruction; my inflammatory-erosive arthritis (because, sadly my immune system insists on attacking itself); and Botox for my debilitating migraines and muscle spasms...more so than any other physician or surgeon I’ve ever seen. All in one place. Dr. Ocher is truly an expert and I am fortunate to be in her care. Dr. Ocher’s practice is top-notch — cutting edge, immaculate and sterile. Her team — Milana and Katya — are nothing less than impeccable and ever accommodating. After seeing so many doctors in the past, I definitely had my doubts; however, Dr. Ocher and her team instantly won me over. Needless to say, I’ve been a patient ever since.

Dr. Ocher is an absolutely phenomenal physician. Intelligent and caring, she is incredible at what she does. I say this not only as a patient, but as a nurse of 49 years who has been around a lot of physicians. I have referred many people to her, and all have been quite satisfied. The office staff is excellent!

The worst. So uncaring, manipulative, and uncommunicative. Shoved a gown in my hand to change for an invasive procedure she literally did not even mention to me, let alone prepare me for or explain to me. Her approach was so blantant: "You're getting an injection in your spine or I'm not making any money off of this." And so condescending, treating me like an idiot--I have a Ph. D.! The absolute worst example of overt money-grubbing western medicine I have ever encountered. She literally told me she did not have time to deal with my questions, and when I finally acquiesced (i.e. gave up on communicating with her), she said,"Good decision." And when I asked what exactly that meant, she responded, "Well, I HAVE to be encouraging." The experience was so horrible and offensive that I cried in the office, and I never cry. Needless to say, there was no empathy; indeed, I was told I was "a mess." Please find someone else--you'd be better off at a clinic or an urgent care facility, or not seeing a doctor at all. This doctor only cares about money. She was giving me steroid shots and medication and charging an arm and a leg from Medicaid. As soon as I could not afford the shots she threw me out if her practice,did not give me any other referral plus made up a story instead of being honest. Money hungry, without any compassion and only cares about the next dollar. Remember when you are walking into her office there is a dollar sign above your head-will give you treatments you don't need and advice that is not medically sound. My doctor warned me about Dr. Ocher. He said she was “crazy”. I was shocked that a doctor would talk like that about another doctor. I didn’t listen to him and went to Dr. Ocher anyway. At first..... Dr. Ocher was so nice and seemed that she really cared about my chronic spine condition. She said I was a “candidate for surgery” and referred me to her buddy colleague/friend in Manhattan who is a surgeon. I didn’t want that surgeon and decided to have my spinal fusion surgery at Weill Cornell Hospital. Then I went to her clinic for follow-up pain management. Dr. Ocher gave me injections and medication .... she did not explain what kind of treatment the injections were. The injections were extremely painful and did not help me at all! I was in more pain for days! I wonder if she didn’t put the injections in the correct place. So I opted out of those injections and went to her for medication treatment until she could provide another course of treatment. I was getting only medication. Then all of a sudden she became mean and nasty. She said “GHI (my insurance) doesn’t pay enough” and recommended I go somewhere else for treatment. She very arrogantly told me she doesn’t need me because she has a lot of other patients. Made me feel like an insignificant loser..... seems like this clinic is merely a business to her. She made me feel like I was going to her for medication only. I would not go to her clinic if I didn’t need to!! I was in horrible pain and she couldn’t offer other treatment other than painful injections that did nothing to me! Then she pushed for ketamine injections. Again... she complained about my insurance. I really didn’t want that ketamine stuff because I read the reviews and some people hallucinate on that stuff and it does little for pain relief. When I explained my concerns to her, she was extremely condescending and asked me if I wanted to see a psychiatrist. I had to ask her to request an MRI to find out what was going on with my spine which indicated I continued to have a serious condition and I needed treatment. I finally decided to take my treatment elsewhere where I would be treated with human dignity! Summary: I do not recommend this doctor. She doesn’t like to be questioned on anything. Stay as far away from this Dr. as possible! I would give her zero stars if that was an option. My mother went in for relief of recurring headaches, and was injected with a heavy narcotic called Ketamine, a drug also known as "Special K", and something that is administered to ANIMALS who cannot be controlled! Not only that, but Dr. Ocher did not give her the correct dosage! She did not weigh her or ask her how much she weighed for proper dosage. The nurse rushed her into the room, and did not provide any information as to the type of injection my mother was about to receive. My mother could not wake up following the injection. Once they were able to wake her up, she had hallucinations, her blood pressure rose to 180/100, and felt so sick that they had to rush EMT to transport her to the ER, where she spent the entire night on IV and heavy system flush out. According to Ocher's report, my mother "left home well, and in good condition." After nearly killing my mother! Shame on Ocher! Stay as far away from this Dr. as possible! Dr. Elena Ocher she’s a great doctor and she care’s about her patients, And very involved with her patients. And her medical staff are a wonderful caring and friendly they treat me with all respect and care . They are very helpful with there patients, my experience with Dr .Elena Ocher amazing and professional.

Dr Ochur basically saved my life. I went to her office on my hands and knees with chronic neck pain. The pain was so unbearable I felt living was worthless. Before this my regular dr tried to treat the issue with all types of meds. As a last resort he told me to see dr Ochur. She did a full examination and tests on me everything including MRI to come up with the best treatment plan. She stayed in the office waiting for me to come back same day until 8 pm to review the MRI Her staff made all the arrangements for me. What dr would go out of their way and stay hours later to wait for you to come back. She knew the pain I was in and remember her words to me “ you will be fine”. Those words stick with me till this day. The Next day was in her office for a nerve injection knowing exactly where to treat me. All the pain went away. She is my hero and someone I will be in debt for the rest of my life. She is extremely careful to ensure the best results. If you have not tried her and have pain, please see her right away. I have experienced many providers. I can say Dr. Ocher is a jewel in Brooklyn. She is professional and caring. The staff is a reflection of Dr. Ocher. You will be better. I am walking, exercising and thriving today. The Best...

Dr. Ocher is amazing! She is sympathetic to her patient's needs and really knows her stuff. I went in with pain radiating down my leg, I thought it was my knee acting up. She was able to see that what I really had was a pinched nerve and treated me accordingly! Her staff is top notch and they treat her patient's with respect. They are a bunch of crooks. GLORIFIED DRUG DEALING TWO TIMING boris yaguda and elena ocher. They left me with no pain medication when my ribs were broken made me wait until after they did there own cat scans and xrays which took weeks. I'm never going back here again.

Dr. Ocher is incredible. I’m so glad I was Reccomended to her. She knows more then any doctor I have ever met. Her staff is friendly & accommodating. If you are in pain, Dr. Ocher is the only doctor to see.

Dr Ocher and her bright, alert and caring staff are nothing short of exceptional when it comes to pain management and overall patient care. Her offices are clean, well managed and state of the art. Dr. Ocher by far the Best, Most Caring, Attentive, Compassionate doctor I have Ever been too. I'm not a Big Fan of doctor's & having procedures done. Dr. Ocher & her staff makes me & my wife feel like we're being taken cared of by family. Physically when I go there I'm in pain but I'm so relieved knowing that Dr. Ocher & her staff is going to take care of me. Everytime I walk out of her office it's with a smile on my face... After years of PT, injections, pain meds, etc., my orthopedist referred me to Dr Ocher. I was in unbearable agony. I figured this would be another waste of time but I thank God it was not. I was seen in a timely manner and treated extremely kind by the staff. Dr Ocher received me and listened to me with great respect, care and concern. Dr Ocher is absolutely, in my opinion, one of the best doctors I have seen for my condition. I am better today because of Dr Ocher!

Absolutely love dr. Ocher. She's very friendly and down earth. The first time I met her, I felt like I knew her forever . The anesthesiologist and other staff are just as great. the treatment that was provided for me has been a miracle . I have been headache free for over three months, as a mother and registered nurse this has been a life saver for my daily living . I would recommend dr ocher 1000%

Dr Ocher and her staff are simply the best. The office staff is friendly and kind in ensuring you have the best expereince. Dr Ocher is a pleasure and is very knowledgeable. Not only is she a wonderful physician, but she is personable and compassionate to your needs.

The best doctor I ever had (and I'm a veteran nurse) This lady helped me walk again and live a life free of pain. She is very caring and understanding. Her team is excellent and very responsible. I've been seen Dr. Ocher since 2011, I had an accident working as a volunteer firefighter. I was very depressed and living in pain all the time. She ordered x rays and MRIs and identified the problem with a quick solution. Her office staff speaks multiple foreign languages including Russian and Spanish.

Dr. Ocher is a miracle worker. Before I found her, I could barely walk, barely move. Dr. Ocher has given me my life back. She is kind, patient, she listens. I could go on and on. I highly recommend Dr. Ocher!
