I saw Dr. Vera for the first time today and he was very nice and caring. He took the time to ask me questions about what my situation was. he thoroughly inspected a cyst on my leg and recommended that I see a surgeon to remove it. I feel as though this Dr knows what he's talking about. I would definitely go see him again

Why would parent wait weeks for an appointment, in the first places? If I feel something is not to my expectations, I am my own advocate and will discuss my concerns with Dr Vera. I am not the only patient he has, and I understand he is a good human being whom is allowed a bad day too. He has taken very good care of me without ordering test that was not warranted. I am sorry the child posted about was sick and hope is better now.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Vera and his staff. Have been a patient for about a year. He is down to earth. He has a wealth of knowledge and he is a good listener. I’m thankful that I found him.

I started using Dr. Vera as my primary care physician about 3 years ago. From the start, Dr. Vera was extremely knowledgeable, caring, and detailed. I have never had a doctor who would sit and listen to me, as well as provide their expertise like Dr. Vera has. He will never rush you or blow your concerns off whatsoever, and he genuinely does care about the overall well-being of his patients. I would recommend Dr. Vera to anyone and everyone, he is truly a fantastic physician as well as his office staff and nurses. Whenever I needed to make an appointment last minute, I have never had issues in the three years I’ve gone to this office, which is very comforting. Dr. Vera is a very educated MD who keeps up with all general medical topics. I am a retired CRNA and I'm quite picky when it come to my medical care. I trust him completely. The office staff is great, understanding, and compassionate. This practice is a jewel in the crown of UT.

It was the slowest place ever , they short with you , 3 hours wait , couldn't wait anymore, left. Never seen doctor , waste of gasoline and time. Pray he sees this .

The ladies that work there are awesome. As far as the doctor, don’t waste your time like he did mine. Didn’t even ask me how I was doing. Impressed! Inspite of my grouchy attitude the entire staff was extremely courteous and made me feel like my concerns were valid. Will highly recommend. I do believe our search for a primary health provider is over.

I am 55 years old and have a lifetime of experience to draw from. I have lived all over the country. So what I say here is based on a great deal of experience. It is hard to come by someone that has true empathy and experience that takes the time to provide a whole health experience. Dr Vera takes his time and truly cares about his patients. He has worked with me diligently to help me figure out how to deal with a complex illness that others have been unable to treat. My life has improved tremendously as a result. Thank you so very much

After receiving information about my laboratory results, he called me at 6 am and recommended that I go to emergency room. He called several times, checking up, made recommendations for a specialist, verified my appointment. I appreciate his quick response and extra effort to insure that I got emergency treatment. I'm forever grateful.

When my son was ill and no other local physician seemed to have the time to see him, Dr. Vera took the time - he calmed my son down and explained to my son his issues in terms that both he and I could understand. While the meeting was conducted via Zoom, Dr. Vera's concern and compassion were clearly evident. After the meeting, Dr. Vera called me and we discussed the issues in more detail and he made several calls that were instrumental in getting my son into the hospital the same day. Furthermore, he not only identified the underlying issue that two previous physicians had missed, but he has followed up personally twice since then to check on my son, something that is unheard of in my experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Vera to anyone needing a compassionate, knowledgeable physician willing to listen to their concerns.

I seriously could not be more pleased with Dr. Vera and his treatment of me and the reason for my telehealth visit yesterday. In my opinion, sometimes you might feel pressured on a telehealth visit but not with Dr. Vera. The office closed at noon and Dr. Vera stayed with me, answered all my questions and more importantly to me, listened, thought through with me asking me lots of questions to pursue the best course of action from my symptoms I shared with him. The clinic I got to has lost their last doctor, I sure wish, (if Dr. Vera didn't already have other responsibilities), could be the full time doctor at the clinic I go to, THAT'S how great I thought he was. Just cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vera.

Dr Vera always takes the time to listen to my concerns and address those concerns. UPDATE Not sure what changed but Dr Vera missed a couple of serious conditions. My husband had skin cancer on the back of his neck and although he mentioned it to the doctor on several occasions, he was told not to worry about it. We made our own appointment with a dermatologist and found it was cancer. I had swelling in my ankle and was told it was my shoes. A couple of months later he looked at it again and we found I had a blood clot. We are no longer his patients and would NOT recommend him to anyone again. Worst dr. Ever dnt listen and treated me for 5 years for bipolar schizophrenia and moved back to see him and he treated me like I was nothing kept asking for my ears to be looked at he didn't look and ddint even say bye. Dr Vera is very knowledgeable and very well read. He keeps up to date on all things medical. He is very thorough and really cares about his patients. He takes his time with each patient. He finds the cause of whatever is bothering you and doesn’t just put a bandage on it. He will also refer you to the best MD for your medical needs. He has helped me with all my medical and I highly recommend him. He has been my Dr. for 6 years. He is a blessing to our community.

Dr Vera has helped me numerous times, most recently he gave me the correct medication that cured my bacterial vaginosis, something I struggled with for years before knocking it out permanently. He’s very friendly and I’m glad to have him taking care of me.

Dr Vera spent an hour with me as a new patient, very thorough and set me up with a cardiologist as well. He did fill my prescription for 90 days contrary to a review by somebody else.

My husband is a chronic heart patient, living with congestive heart failure, on maintenance medication for life. Dr. Vera refuses to give my husband 90 day scripts to save us money, and when he does write a script there are no refills on it. These are medications my husband has to be on for the rest of his life, but he won't put a refill??? We have to call EVERY SINGLE TIME to get his meds filled, then they usually take 2 or 3 times before they get it to correct pharmacy, and more often than not, they don't have all 5 scripts. That office is incompetent as all get out!! Unless you want to do their work for them, stay away from these morons. ZERO STARS...but it forced me to pick one.

Extremely uncomfortable experience with Dr. Vera. He pushed me to leave my OBGYN to come to him (my neighbor also mentioned he does the same to her). Also- I came in because I was feeling sick. After about 30 seconds of checking me out, he orders a shot for me without telling me anything. It was a good thing the nurse came in did testing before because the results were something completely different than what he had assumed. He said “he could’ve bet money that it was a sinus infection.” I’m sorry but I’m not here for a doctor to make quick guesses. I do not recommend him, especially to other young women.

I switched doctors because he was in my network. My previous doctor had me come in every 6 months. Dr Vera had me coming monthly for no reason. The last visit he said I'll see you in a month. I started saying can we compromise and do 3 months it not....thats as far as I got and he came up off his stool and got right in my face and pointed and said let me tell you something buddy, if you can find another doctor to take your crappy insurance you go ahead. I honestly wanted to deck him for getting in my face but instead turned and walked out with him following me down the hall apologizing. Never went back. He would also do anything he could for extra money because he said my ins didn't pay him much so he tried to make it worth his time to see me. Also after every visit he would say send me some patients. Never had a doctor say that. He apparently needs the business. Horrible doctor.

Dr. Vera is the best physician I’ve ever had. He’s genuinely caring about me and my health. He calls right back when I have a need, and he treats me like I’m his only patient. He’s amazing!

l would recommend that you stay away from this MD- he misdiagnosed my son and caused him to have emergency surgery. This is an inept physician! l would give zero stars if possible-

What kind of doctor turns away someone who has just had a miscarriage, diabetes, & HTN because they take anxiety meds? I guess because I have anxiety my other health issues aren't important. This is why people don't seek medical care. Btw I called in advance to tell I was on medication and was told to come in and then Dr didn't even get me into a room had his nurse tell me at receptionist desk in front of other people and staff. As a nurse I know that is unprofessional and against the law.

I definitely would NOT recommend Dr. Vera to anyone. He is inconsiderate, rude, arrogant with no bedside manner. No compassion what so ever. He half ways listens to issues being voiced. Always making half assumptions due to his inactive/passive listening skills. Assumes patients are out to get high or take advantage of him. His unprofessional philosophy and demeanor has caused unnecessary hardships of suffering. I am amazed he remains in practice. He is a maintenance doctor with no skills.

Dr.Vera is a horrible Dr. He doesn't listen to pt concerns, more worried about scheduling follow up visits and visiting with drug reps. Pushes expensive treatments without explaination. Try any dr. In lindale for better treatment.
