Dr. Edwin M Chang

About the beginning of July 2020 I was brought to SIUH to consult with Dr.Chang. I was literally carried in to the hospital by EMS. I had become so disabled by a work accident I could barely get up and move . I ws 2days away from being paralyzed from the neck down and had given up hope of leading a normal life. Dr.Chang agreed to operate . Within 1day of the surgery I was up and walking,a miracle to me. It’s been 2 and a half years and with some rehab I have gained about 90 percent of normal function back.Words cannot express my appreciation for all he did for me and am very grateful to him.

After waiting more than 2 hours in the waiting room to see Dr Chang, I was pushed off to PA who did absolutely nothing, She just give me a prescription for an MRI! Fast forward two weeks I get a statement from my insurance and I was billed $1600, $950 of which I have to pay out-of-pocket and I never even seen the man, I saw a PA! If I indeed Saw the doctor I would have no argument over the bill but it’s absolutely ridiculous to charge that much and not even get to see him! Meanwhile, I’m Still in pain and am stuck with a large bull for nothing! I was a surgical patient of Dr Chang and found him to be caring and thorough. He has a great demeanor and is very knowledgeable and highly recommend him

Amazing Doctor. My Husband had an hernia that caused him terrible pain and he was able to make him pain free and walk and work again.

Dr chang is a first class across the board i actually had 3 surgerys with him and to this day he's a god to me I thank him for his skills bed side manners and professionalism I recommended him to many people and all were 100 percent satisfied

Dr. Cheng is the nicest doctor I ever had the privilege to meet. He is also brilliant. I was seeing a pain management doctor for 3 years, being treated for a herniated disc, but Dr. Cheng found the source of my pain during emergency surgery. I'm still recovering and already the pain I had is gone! His staff were aIso top notch, very professional, thorough, and kind. I would recommend him to all who is looking for a neurologist. Dr. Chang has a great reputation, is extremely knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner. He perform surgeries for my 86 year old grandmother on two separate occasions and we could not have ask for more from any doctor.

I just left Dr Changs office feeling very positive I definitely know I’m in good hands He is a great Dr and I am more then pleased with him helping me to live pain free Your the best Dr.Chang Thank you so much for not giving up

I've had 3 back surgeries and a cervical spine surgery with Dr. Chang. I'm still walking since others said I'm not supposed to be. Grateful to him for keeping me upright.

Where do I begin on what an mazing surgeon AND man Dr. Chang is! He’s performed my 2 back surgeries and I would never recommend ANYONE else! Unfortunately, as much as I love him, scheduling a new appointment means another surgery. However, knowing Dr Chang’s bedside manner, knowledge, time spent with you, the time he’ll take carefully explaining options-sometimes to not have to endure surgery-I know I’m in the best hands. He is not knife happy like most surgeons & he is so caring.

I've known him since he first started practicing here. we thought we were gonna lose our nephew but Dr. Chang saved him. He does every operation for my family and I. I never doubt him.
