Had a total hip replacement done by Dr Silverman at Mercy Hospital, Miami January 29th,2022. I was up and walking the same day. Amazing!! A real game changer,,,, I am very grateful to Dr. Silverman.

Beyond 5 stars is what he deserves. My 90 year old mom with who has cognitive problems broke her hip. We were SO worried about the outcome of hip replacement surgery. We knew the terrible effect that general anesthesia had on her before and we were so scared too about post operative pain. Dr Silverman is a superhero, they used sedation plus a nerve block and best of all it took less than 90 minutes and there was literally NO post op pain to speak of. And the incision was done so neatly too! She only needed a mild pain killer for 2 days and she was up the next day with a the help of a walker. I am truly thankful that God put DR Silverman in my path. He performed two complete Hip Replacement surgeries on me and both of them were a Great success. it just took me 15 days to get better and i started walking the first day from the first surgery. With the second surgery it took me even less to recuperate completely and i was walking without any accessories (cane, Crutches, Walker etc). My PT says the incision looks amazing and that my progress is better than expected. Everyone at Dr Silverman’s was super friendly, attentive, & quick to respond when I had questions. I first came to The Orthopedic Institute two years ago with an intractable infection in my tibia that I had harbored for thirty nine years. My knee joint was filled with osteoarthritis and I was limping badly and in need of a cane. I had no insurance at the time so I waited until I turned sixty five and became Medicare eligible. I had been to a half a dozen doctors over the years and was told the same thing by all of them; no cure, amputation was the prognosis. Dr. Silverman with an assist from Dr. Durfee laid out a plan to do a debridement of the tibia and to follow up with a total knee replacement. It has been thirteen months and four successful surgeries later and I am walking hands and pain free. And while the pathogen grew back Dr. Silverman has been able to mitigate the infection with antibiotics. I can never thank Dr. Silverman enough. He has rebuilt a badly broken and arthritic leg. I couldn't be more impressed with Mercy Hospital and the Institute. Innovation indeed!

Dr Silverman is an excellent doctor. My grandmother broke her hip on January 12, Dr Silverman operated her and within a month she was walking. After 2 months with therapy included she sometimes walks without the waker. She is 94 years old, she is looks like nothing happened. I had a total knee replacement performed by Dr. Silverman on the 30th of January and today, a month after, I feel very well I am able to walk, drive and go shopping. I know it's going to take a little longer working with my therapist to be 100% recovered. I think Dr Silverman did an exelent job. Dr Silverman listens to your complaint and takes his time explaining to you its finding. he gave me a shot in my knee and it was painless, he's a great Dr whom I will recomend to evryone who need a orthopedic. his office staff and nurse assistance are very kind and treat you with respect. Love this place.

Dr. Silverman is an amazing surgeon. He gave me confidence and worked with me throughout the pre and post surgery procedure. Not only is he an expert at what he does but is also a great listener.
