Dr. Edward Allen Schlies

He subscribed meds on my first appt and said he would call the next day to check on me. He didn't, so I was left to wonder what next while I was detoxing on my own. A week later I got an email saying I have an appt in 2 weeks. so for 3 weeks he left me hanging. It took me a whole month going back and forth with his extremely rude, and at times incompetent, receptionist Cecelia. If she forgot to get some info from you she would call multiple times within 1 hour and then threaten to cancel your appointment. I was in a staff meeting so I could call right away. That is so unprofessional. Then after everything she forgot to get the 3 digits on the back of my card for the payment. She calls 2x within 20 mins. I was at open house for my child. So she called my husband! He didn't know I was getting medical assisted help for alcohol abuse. He was on there for EMERGENCY PURPOSES ONLY. I finally talked to her and told her to send me a bill so I can pay. She sent me someone else's bill. I asked again and received mine. In the mean time 3/4 of us contracted Covid and we are dealing with that when she called my husband AGAIN for the payment and threatens to send me to collections. Keep in my mind I just received the bill 4 days ago! When I called to ask why she called my husband, she would not answer and just asked for payment. She violated my privacy. This office is the most unprofessional, unorganized, rudest & most insensitive to people, especially when working with mental health/addiction. Been seeing this psychiatrist for over 15 years. He knows his medicines well and does excellent psychotherapy too. Very thorough and spends a lot of time with patients.

Dr. Schiles is the most highly educated professional, knowledgeable, and caring Doctor I have ever had take care of me. He delivers medical care emphatically and makes you feel sincerely heard and will always act in way that is individually suited for his patient’s needs, as well as helping determine the best recourse of action to take when delivering his care plan. Honestly, Dr. Schiles literally saved my life, after I was left in a dangerous and life threatening situation by the Doctor I had previously to him. He gives you the privilege of contacting him directly on his phone, so being in the position I was in, a very precarious one, I got his information and was able to speak with him right away. I was able to make an appointment on very short notice and he started treating me right away. He trusted what I was saying to him, as I mentioned above, really listened and met my needs and exceeded my expectations. His care is safe, consistent, reliable and I feel incredibly blessed to have Dr. Schiles as my Doctor. Dr. Schlies is great, I trust him so much but the receptionist is not kind and even nasty. Just talking to her makes me depressed.

I have known Dr. Schlies for almost 44 years. He has become like a member of the "family". He is one who still knows the art of listening. That is a rarity in today's medical world. He is my "life coach" as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an outstanding physician.. Jim Pick

Every time I think I need to change my medication and I DONT go Dr. Schlies everything goes haywire and end up going back to him. My insurance doesn't cover his services so I try other doctors, BIG MISTAKE!! He is very knowledgeable about addiction!!!

Dr. Schlies quickly diagnosed the problem and the effective course of action. During a crisis, he is able to be contacted personally and immediately. He helps patients feel comfortable, and he gives confidence to the patients. Our son finds him to be the best of all of the 8 psychiatrists who have treated him.
