Edward Rippel

The most outstanding doctor Edward Rippel with jokes and malicious responses without respect that I know. He doesn't have enough time, ignores your pain, you tell him I feel bad and he answers saying, feel good! I as a patient lasted many years and I left forever. because the surgical doctor sent me to do a physical examination required by blood surgery. and Dr. Rippel wanted to do a complete physical exam as if he were a gynecologist, who told the nurse to take off my gown half completely and then he came playing Cuban music for me, I left my underwear on, which I didn't let to touch my legs. only the lungs and heart, ears and stomach. that's what he had to do only blood physical examination required for surgery. not take off my clothes and give me a robe! I have tests on my phone but in the end I never diagnosed my problem. I would not recommend this Dr. to no body.

Excellent Dr if you’d looking for someone who upfront and honest but operates with great integrity he is the one excellent knowledge about the medicine world what’s good and his clinical opinion on things I know it was my best choice when changing Primary cars physician

I've been Dr. Rippel's patient for several years. He is definitely the best doctor I've ever had. He is a kind and thoughtful person who truly cares about his patients.

I have been going to Dr. Rippel for years. He is the best Primary Care Doctor in the area. He keeps step with all changes in technology and is kind and someone you feel comfortable talking to about anything1

terrible... moved from out of state waited months to get an appt for a physical exam, he spent 15 mins talking to me, Q&A and advised that medicare doesn't pay for complete physical, only wellness check...didn't address any issues i brought up.. My advantage pan does pay for annual PE 6 months later i got in for PE,, and his PA gave me inadequate PEadvise my prostate was slightly enlarged and we discussed other issues...but nothing after that the worst practice I've been to in my life.

Was a referral to me when I moved to the area, is an excellent Physician and saved my husband's life. Attention to detail and listens. Great healer!

Rushed, rude, arrogant, impersonal

I would not recommend nobody to Edwards repeal he's very rude I didn't like the way he treat my girlfriend and he wood cancel all her appointments later on so if you think he's really good he's really not so good luck with that one

I missed 1 appointment with Dr Rippel and just received a certified letter stating he no longer wants to treat me. We had a great rapport over the past few years. I’m shocked. But hey, it’s his business.

My husband called over the weekend because he was having high blood pressure spikes again. He was refused care by Dr. Rippel because of a previous $45 balance that we weren’t aware of. My husband speaks highly of his doctor so I’m not sure if it’s policy or just the practice in general that requires the physicians to treat patients that way...needless to say I’m encouraging my husband to find other primary help that values his life vs. $45 previous balance. Dr. Rippel is knowledgeable and caring. His office staff is professional and helpful. He has been my primary care physician for over 20 years.

Always thorough, attentive and is extremely passionate about what he does. His explanations of medications, conditions, and treatments are so clear and detailed that you are never left to wonder. He is very accessible and I would recommend him without reservations.

I have been a patient of Dr Rippel for more them 20 years. That my friends is a possitive testimony in itself for this excellent physician. He has given me confidence in his handling of my health issues and I always can count on him to be a straight shooter with questions and answers. When talking with him about health issues or with evey day life, he makes me feel like a real human being and not just a number! He is not only my physician but my FRIEND. He has kept me healthy all these years and my meds which he has thoughtfully prescribed, do what they are suppose to. I would recommend Dr. Rippel to anyone especially if you fear"white coats"! Found Dr Rippel. Very unpleasant and very rude. Would never go to him again. He reprimanded me for going to ER. And would not look at my concerns that were on ER report. Would not even look at it. He was very unprofessional!

Horrible experience. My husband had an emergency at work and was not able to attend his new patient appointment. I never knew how their policy or given the "protocol" of cancelation. I called to inform the office that my husband was not able to attend scheduled appointment and immediately was told that the next available appointment due to late cancelation would be in July. I was put on hold again and was told " oh if you cancel today, you husband will not be allowed to schedule an appointment again at this Dr. office. This is the most de-grading system they have going on here. I would NEVER recommend this MEDICAL CENTER. Horrible experience. Best PCP in CT!!!

Great Practice!!! I have always been accommodated. They have always responded and addressed any issues I’ve had in a timely fashion I have been going to this practice going on ten years and now that my kids are older Dr Rippel is also their Dr!!! Would recommend to anyone!!!

I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Rippel be not only my PCP but someone I consider the lead of a healthcare team that has saved my life. I am in my mid-30s and was suffering last year from mysterious pains and symptoms. I am a healthcare provider myself and was at a loss for what could possibly be making me feel so sick. Even after the first specialist he referred me to basically told me it was in my head, he listened to me and advocated for me, because he had taken the time to know me and saw that there was something real I was experiencing. His belief eventually led to a new referral and ultimately my diagnosis of a very rare cancer-mimicking tumor hiding in my GI and the successful surgery to remove it. I am forever thankful for him believing in me, giving me the hard advice I needed at times -- severe chronic sickness led to moments of tears in his office that were not helping me get the answers I needed- and he was on point to help me see that. I am also thankful he not only appreciates my desire to life a lifestyle with basic wellness tools- diet, good sleep, exercise, meditation, etc - he bases his practice of care on these fundamentals. I've been seeing Dr. Rippel for almost 20 years (annual checkups and other routine issues.) During this time, I've come to appreciate his thorough care and diagnostic abilities. Each time I visit, he shows a personal interest and remembers my various life events. Often, after (or even during) the reason for my visit we'll engage in conversation on unrelated topics. This makes it feel more like a visit than a doctor's appointment. I definitely recommend the doc - he obviously knows his stuff, shows sincere concern and is easy to talk to. Dr Rippel is such a caring person. Besides being a great doctor who listens carefully to everything you tell him, he truly cares about the patient. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. His staff is great too!

I would recommend and have recommended Dr. Rippel to my friends and family. I find him to be honest and straight forward, following up with your results of your appointment personally, with explanations and recommendations. I will be a patient for a long time.

Dr Rippel is personal, professional and knowledgeable. He has a great bedside manner, is technically inclined, and is open and honest. Now, I must warn you... if you are looking for the "rose-colored glasses, sweet cotton candy" type he is NOT your guy. He cares about his patients and takes healthcare serious. I moved to CT and visited various doctors trying to find a new PCP. I finally found a great doctor. He takes his time, is thorough and has a warm (and funny) personality. Awesome doctor!

He is an excellent doctor. Very thorough and takes the time to explain your diagnosis and treatment plan in layman's terms that are easy to understand. He makes you feel comfortable in his care and treatment. My former PCP of 37 years retired and a friend highly recommended Dr. Rippel to me and I'm so glad she did. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a great, kind, experienced and caring doctor. His APRN Jill and his office staff, Lisa & Anna, and his medical assistants are all top notch!

Dr Rippel and his staff at Quinnipiac Internal Medicine are the best! I never feel rushed and I always feel heard with Dr Rippel. He is a patient listener and he is willing to spend time in answering my questions. I had recently moved to a town a bit further away but I would rather drive the extra miles rather than change practitioners.

He is a very nice doctor, very encouraging, although can have a slight "Holier than thou" attitude, he takes some time getting used to, just like any other doctor. Be prepared for Blood tests and urine tests on the spot, Pneumonia and Hepatitis vaccines, etc. on your first visit. His RPNA is extremely nice, and helpful. You are not rushed through your appointment, and he will answer any questions you have, even if you do have a difference of opinion. He is "quite" pleasant

I am a retired internist/cardiologist. My wife and I moved from MA to Hamden, CT in May 2017. I reasearched extensively and found Dr. E. Rippel's credentials to be the best in Hamden. Our 1st visit proved it. He was very nice and was willing to communicate any way we wanted. His office staff was very friendly. The added benefit was availability of blood tests in the office. Everything was great.

Very efficient examination. I was a bit put-off by his direct style- he started grilling me with questions while I was still lying down woozy after giving blood. I got the impression he didn't have a lot of time for me (I did arrive 15 minutes late) and he even interrupted some of my answers to his questions. I thought he gave very apt advice overall.

Dr Rippel is a fabulous health care provider. He has genuine interactions with patients and is quickly able to diagnose issues and provide useful solutions to all types of personal medical issues.

Dr Rippel li listens to my concerns and always follows up with me. He is the best doctor I have ever had.

He's understanding and overall a wonderful doctor. Easy to talk to but doesn't beat around the bush. I would recommend anyone I know to him!!

After several annual physicals and office visits, I find that Dr. Rippel is a doctor I can highly trust. He is caring, personable, and friendly. When we have differing opinions, he listens and finds an alternate solution that still resolves the problem.

Dr. Rippel is a wonderful doctor. He will listen to you, offer good sound advice, knows his patients. I am not a big fan off going to ANY doctor, but I actually enjoy coming to see him. His office is super clean, staff is wonderful and helpful. They all take the time to know you as a person. He will return phone calls if needed and his staff follows up, which is very refreshing in this day. I highly recommend Dr. Rippel and his practice!

Very professional, very thorough, very knowledgable, and very personable. Takes a true interest in the well being of his patients. Devotes his full attention to the patient and does not rush. I couldn't be more pleased with his care and feel fortunate to have him as a doctor.

If you are in need of a great MD, Dr. Rippel is the guy. Switching to him was the best thing I have done. I had a great deal of medical issues that I felt before weren't be handled right (daily migraines,high blood pressure at 23 years old, IBS, ect.) I am now a year into seeing Dr. Rippel and I am migraine free, off of all blood pressure medications with normal blood pressure, and no longer a suffer of IBS.

Dr Rippel is a very caring physician who not only treats a patients symptom, he also coaches the patient as to how to deal with the symptom. Dr Rippel listens to and spends time with his patients, making the patient feel the he is truly concerned about their health.

I wouldn't have been a patient with Dr Rippel for over 25 yrs if he weren't top notch. Very knowledgeable, caring, and straight forward and honest with me. I know he is doing his best for my health.

I've been a patient of Dr Rippel since 2009. He's been a great help in controlling my Hypertension and Pure Hypercholesterolemia. Together we've established a great relationship and program to keep me in good health.
