Rude. Immediately accused me of drug seeking though I was one day post op and had a fit when I declined an MRI in his office that day. I had the St. Vincent CMO, I’m going to St. V’s so as not to get stuck with a big bill. Made him even more angry and at this point I was in tears because he was getting loud and aggressive with his speech. My mom walked in told him that was enough and we promptly left.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Kowlowitz to anyone! This man is completely out of line and absolutely rude. The way he treated my grandmother was absolutely unacceptable. He completely lacks compassion and empathy for his patients. He don't listen to what his patients are saying in fact He would not even let her talk, he just kept interrupting her, calling her a liar. He was shouting so loud everyone out in the waiting room could hear him. At my trail I felt relief go to my arms and was totally surprised. Afterwards I realized that I still needed better control. Then I was transferred to Dr Kim Who after reviewing charts was very uncomfortable with amount of meds in my damage location. Back to Dr K, ,his adjustments with pump PM gave big relief when boost was used. 1st time I felt like I had some control.Good Job At my trail I felt relief go to my arms and was totally surprised. would NOT recommend Dr. Kowlowitz to anyone! This man is completely out of line and absolutely rude. The way he treated my grandmother was absolutely unacceptable. Save yourself lots of time and $$ by avoiding this place at all costs. The "Dr", "Anesthesiologist" or whatever titles she claimed to hold, came across as snooty and lacking any compassion for my situation. Didnt even bother to introduce herself upon walking into the room. Judging by her appearance, i could tell immediately where her priorities lay. She showed absolutely no concern for my pain, and when I left I felt like i had just left a car dealership. The place is just concerned with one thing. You guessed it...the ring of the cash register! I'm not sure where I reviewed him already but I was legally declared disabled by SSDI this man questioned it I haven't worked in 10 yrs and am forced by my insurance to go to him. So apparently every Dr I saw before was wrong. This man has a God complex and zero empathy cause apparently only he knows. At this point I pray he just let's me get my RFA then I will go out of network cause I'm not asking for drugs just a Dr that helps. Discharges patients for no reason. Even with acute pain and recovering from surgery. Jennifer Emmert doesn't listen or care. I was denied care. And they do not answer phones after hours. This place is a scam. Jennifer treats everyone like an addict. All I wanted was a hip injection. What is so addictive about that? These so called doctors are only in it for the money. There is no compassion or empathy. Jennifer has no idea what she is doing. Maybe some patient care services training is in order. Don't waste your time or money. The staff along with Dr. K was very refreshing. Each person I encountered was very polite and supportive of you . I love the experience.

This man?? was the anesthesiologist for my surgery. I met with him twice prior to surgery and he assured me that he had treated many patients with my condition, which is a rare condition. I was a naive patient but I knew the questions to ask and he had all the right answers. He tells you what he wants to, which is the protocol for a patient's condition.. My surgeon told me after I faced many difficulties following surgery that this so called Anesthesiologist, for whatever reason, did NOT FOLLOW THE NECESSARY PROTOCOL. I've seen Dr Kamal for about 6. Months and I think she's great she's very nice n Don t talk down to you like a lot of doctors do I'd recommend her to anyone

I've been going here for awhile and am happy with the treatment. You have to realize how these Dr's hands are tied with pain management laws. The Gov't has gone way too far to fix a "problem" that isn't with patients going to certified Dr's and taking meds as prescribed, It's with "patients" seeking out pain meds on the street and not realizing that they can be mixed with Fentanyl. Or "patients" going to heroin because they aren't getting the high anymore from a couple of opioids. We just have ro hope the Drs are treating their patients as best as they can within all these new "opioid crisis" laws. And that's what the Center for Pain Manager does. They treat us as best they can. The PA I see (Ted) is caring and will make adjustments to prescriptions, when warranted, and he doesn't make predetermined judgements on patients seeking pain relief. I had gone through years and years, surgical procedures after surgical procedures at OrthoIndy. Then I was recommended to Dr. K. by my PCC. I was very skeptical going to a new pain management and the thought of starting from scratch again. But that didnt happen. His team started treating me and FINALLY a Dr that got to the root of my problem. Today I am pain free and hugged this man. I was so happy to get the relief I had been needing for so long. This man is literally one of the worst people I have ever met. He’s rude, doesn’t care about you, and is condescending. This goes beyond health care. The guy is really one of the worst human beings I’ve ever met in the health field. Please do not trust your care to him. No one deserves to be treated that way.

Dr. Kowolitz is simply a dangerous doctor. He treated my wife so badly she came home crying at the way he spoke to her. Beyond his arrogance and can do wrong attitude, he leaves his patients in pain and treats them as if there is no pain. He also recommended she leave her neurologist. She has a brain injury and that would not have been wise to do so. I highly suggest you find another doctor. Dr. Kowolitz is simply a dangerous doctor. Ive been going here for quite some time and ive always been treated kind and fair. They have done so much for me. We tried surgery but my back is to bad but they still haven't given up. I highly recommend this place.

From a nurse perspective, Kowlowitz is one of those MD’s that you like or don’t like. He is forthcoming and doesn’t double-talk. Also from a nurse perspective, he’s one of those MD’s that has that “scowl” look although on the inside, he’s just as cuddly and kind-hearted as Fin. Did I mention that he knows what he’s talkin about?

I have been Dr. Kowlowitz's patient for over 15 years and have also seen Sandra Dolny, a Certified Physician Assistant, on a monthly basis for many years. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Kowlowitz and Sandy for my pain management care over the years. I don't know how I would have coped without them. I am treated with respect, understanding and professionalism. Such has also been the case with all the medical personnel and office staff at the center, as well as in the Surgery Center. If patients are honest, respectful and cooperative with the treatment options provided and give continuous feedback on the results, a positive outcome with their pain relief will be achieved. I would not have been a patient here for as long as I have if I wasn't being helped. Dr. Kowlowitz spent a lot of time listening to my lifelong history of lower back pain and all the treatments I've previously tried. He was very patient and asked really good questions about frequency of my pain, what's worked and what didn't and activities that make it worse. He made a very accurate diagnosis and his treatment recommendations really work. I wish I had met him years ago.

I really did not want to leave a review like this but it is necessary. First there is the office visits. Every office visit in Lafayette is so far is a two hour wait before you are seen. Then there was no comparison of MRI after I even called the office ahead of time to make sure it would be done. I had a procedure done which I was told I was going to be put under and I would feel no pain. I was given a local and the physician hit nerve which about sent me off the table.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kowlowitz to anyone I know. Not only is he very attentive to his patients, but his staff is wonderful as well.I finally have a doctor that wants to help me. He has created a plan for me. Procedures start soon and I couldn't be more thrilled. I have hope!! Thank you Dr. Kowlowitz from the bottom of my heart!
