I Thank God for Dr. Kolb! The man is awesome! The whole team is the ????! I had my surgery last Tuesday and I was walking within 3hrs after surgery. I've been in pain since 2017. Dr. Kolb did surgery on my right Elbow. 1st off I am back to 100% and he was amazing. He is not only great at the work, but was very easy going and able to talk to, which made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Kolb came and visited me in the hospital as did Sean which was awesome because I was not allowed to have visitors with the Pandemic going on. "Tater" who I spoke with was great and helped me at my visits. Kept me informed on what was going on and really made me feel at ease with the situation. Everyone on the staff was just as great. The receptionist to all the RN's were just top notch. At OSF hospital all the RN's were super nice and even sat with me since I could not have visitors. Sam did this multiple times which really helped. I don't wish anyone any harm or ill will, but if something happens please let this group take care of you. They really looked out for me during this difficult time, and I can't say enough great things about them. Thanks again to everyone. Dr Kolb and his staff are amazing. My daughter broke her leg and luckily he was on call. He came in and had her in emergency surgery for a compound fracture within 2 hours. His assistant was with my daughter the whole time ahead of the surgery and performed irrigation while she waited. Her progress has been great so far.

Dr. Kolb performed surgery on my left shoulder 5 1/2 years ago. (I know, thats been awhile, but a friend of mine has had issues with her shoulder, I recommend Dr Kolb, and realized I hadn't left a review for him) I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful he and his staff both were. Prior to my surgery, my shoulder had been constantly dislocating for years, it finally got so bad I had to do something about it. His staff was very pleasant, and professional, I was very comfortable around him, he speaks to you as if you're friends, his anesthesiologist was very nice too. Dr. Kolb put 4 anchors in, orthoscopically, and even fixed a few other issues he found once he had started. After the surgery, during checkups, he still took as much interest and care with me as he did before. 5 and 1/2 years later, my arm is still fantastic, and working 100%. I've had no pain, or issues. This man knows what he is doing, and surrounds himself with a staff that is just as professional. If I ever need surgery again, he is the man I will call. Administrative nursing staff was disorganized and resulted in last minute “hoop jumping” to get preliminary tests and screens completed. Dr. listened to questions, concerns and my feedback. Surgery went well, but a few weeks later, had to be redone due to splitting of bone. No known cause.

Dr. Kolb repaired my arm after a failed surgery from another doctor. He and his staff were very caring and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him.

This gentleman saved my fingers on my left hand after an accident I had at home. All I can say very professional and has a great sense of humor. I couldn't have gone to a better surgeon.

I had three surgeons from this office my wrists and arm with metal plates after a severe motorcycle accident. Great staff! Hopefully getting released for work and go back to my normal life today! Thankyou!

Dr. Kolb performed two total knee replacements on me in 2018. I cannot say enough about how professional and wonderful he and his staff are. I am so pleased with the results. His staff made what could have been a very stressful time much less worrisome. I am two years out and fully recovered.

Dr. Kolb has done a complete knee and shoulder replacement. It does not get any better. The staff is some of the best you could imagine.

It’s been 9 months since surgery, I still have pain and movement issues. My leg below the knee @ the knee is stills numb (I’ve never had this before surgery). He has me come in every 5-6 weeks and all he says is “give it time” and leaves. My other knee was done a few years ago by someone else and no problems like this. I wanted surgery done at St. Joe and his office is in a St. Joe facility is why I went to him. I asked the first time if the surgery would be done at St. Joe, he said yes, no problem. When it came time to do surgery he told me he has to do it at Advocate. I reminded him he had told me he would do it at St. Joe. He said he preferred Advocate and he wouldn’t be able to schedule it for at least 6 months at St. Joe. So he wasn’t honest with me.

Awesome Doctor with a Superb Staff. Dr. Kolb did a total knee replacement for me and he did an outstanding job. He has a great rapport with his patients and listens to you. He is very kind and patient, and I appreciate that he is always available when needed. That being said, he is made even better by his entire staff. They are always friendly and helpful. When they say they will call you back, they do. They listened to my concerns post-surgery and were always ready to provide whatever I needed. I would highly recommend him! Dr. Kolb has amazing ortho surgical skills, he is thorough, has great bedside manner, and is very caring! He takes time to explain everything in detail, as well as answer my questions and listen to my concerns. Wouldn't go anywhere else if the need arises again. Wonderful Physician's Assistant, Shawn Rudicil and great staff all around!

Dr Kolb and his staff made me feel very comfortable and always made sure I understood everything! They were absolutely amazing and I recommend him to everyone!

Dr. Kolb is a very nice, caring doctor who takes time to listen. He's respectful and in no way condescending, unlike other specialists I have been to over the years. I have not required surgery so I can't speak about that aspect of his care and expertise.
