Dr. Icaza rocks. He helped my migraines and I am doing so much better now. I can’t recommend him enough. He really is the best.

Dr. Icaza has been great for my parents. I am glad we were able to find a really great neurologist in NB. No more driving into SA for this appt and since I usually have to take time off work to go with my parents, this saves me a lot of time.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Icaza and his staff. He was able to figure out what was going on with me when no one else could. I have found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful, and I've recommended him to friends and family members who are happy with his care too.

When I first saw Dr. Icaza, I was frightened and in so much pain. He is very compassionate and made me feel he would do what was necessary to find the cause of my illness. He explained everything in detail to put my mind at ease. I am very pleased with the care I am receiving and would highly recommend him!

Dr. Icaza took his time to explain everything in advance. He was caring and gentle in administering nerve testing. The office and nursing staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Icaza!

He has cared for my father for years and has helped us to understand the disease and helped us cope with the necessary needs. He always shows my father a great deal of respect and spends time with us without feeling rushed. it's really too good.

I can see how others might not appreciate Dr. Icaza's no-nonsense, direct approach, but I prefer that to a doctor who is undecisive and sends me for a bunch of unnecessary tests. He has helped me tremendously.

Wish I could could give a ZERO rating. Worst visit with an MD I have ever had. Rude, arrogant, dismissive, condescending, and egotistical. Did not offer input, advice or recommendations. Would not directly address my questions. Complete lack of anything that resembles a desire to help others, or basic concern for my health. Absolutely unbelievable!

Dr. Icaza is rude and has no respect for women. Does not take the time to explain and quote, “ not pay attention to MRI results.” Gave a star because the front office staff were very helpful.

Very poor experience. Just wanted me to keep coming back every 4 weeks without actually addressing my issues. I was in a near fatal car accident, in a coma for 7 weeks. Had brain bleeds, told him I was still dizzy and slightly out of it, he told me there was no medication for that and acted indignant because I was taking a mushroom compound to help me, suggested by a fellow tbi survivor . But I should just come back in 4 weeks. HA! Nope! Found another Neurologist, turns out there's 5, yes 5 possible medications for my dizziness! Second Neurologist spent 2 hours diagnosing my issues, prescribed a medication were going to try first. She is wonderful and caring, he is neither I'm so sick of doctors not helping, but, oh yeah " come back every 4 weeks" so I can do more NOT to help you and bill your insurance. His nurse couldn't even pronounce one the names of my heart medications. I'll never go back, I found a good Neurologist and it's not him

Very condescending, inferred my neurological symptoms were all in my head. The office is very difficult to get a hold of. They don't answer calls, the portal is useless. I'm going elsewhere.

My sister had one appointment with this doctor and it did not go well. She has several neurological issues thhis doctor was dismissive, didn't answer her questions and did not begin to scratch the surface of her ongoing issues. Cutting her off in mid sentence because he refused to hear what she had to say. Refusing to hear his new patients talking about the changes in their bodies, the sole purpose of their visit has to be not only rude and disappointing, but also very wreckless with their health. If he doesnt feel his attitude was a problem then he should think about changing careers.

Very unkind, dismissive, and condescending to elderly dementia patient and family. Extremely unprofessional. Staff in his office were very nice but unfortunately have to work with him.

Don't waste your time. He spent entire visit stating what he would not do-- never examined my range of motion, function. Just wanted to write a rx and schedule next appt to address 2nd issue. Horrible bedside manner. Office staff was great.

I have seen Dr Icaza for years in Katy, Tx. I have even followed him to New Braunfels. He listens to you. Very caring. I wouldn’t go to any other neurologist. He is the best!!!

So rude. While getting my background of chronic headaches and migraines he told me it didn't make sense. I also mentioned having sinus surgery right before my headaches became constant every day. He interrupted me and said there's no correlation. Never tried to figure out what is going on. He only kept prescribing meds. On third visit he told me I needed to find another Dr because this wasn't working out. But he then still tried prescribing more meds. His words "if they work they work, if they don't they don't". His office also kept rescheduling my appointments because "he wasn't going to be happy with a 2hr gap between patients". He was never happy anyway.

Listened to concerns, didn't assume the worst about what was going on, and has a very friendly staff.

Dr. Icaza helped me with my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He got me all fixed up and I don't have anymore pain in my wrist.

Dismissive, rude, doesn't listen

Dr. Icaza recently moved to a new office on Peek and it is so nice. Parking was terrible at his old office and now I can park right in front of his front door. For folks like me who have to move a bit slower, that is really a big deal. Dr. Icaza is always welcoming and right on top of my medical care. Appointments are easy to get and I feel like he puts his patient's needs first.

Dr Icaza is very uncaring and rude. My mother has Alzheimer’s and he treated her very disrespectfully. He acted like she wasn’t even in the room. He said there was no need to talk to her because she wouldn’t remember anyway. He does not like questions being asked.

Dr Icaza is an uncaring "doctor". My daughter had a seizure while in his office. While she was seizing, he told her to "stop the act" and she had to leave his office. We had to call 911 to have an ambulance crew remove her from his office because she could not walk. He will be reported to the medical board for this. This is unacceptable and an investigation needs to be done on his credentials and incapability of staff.

Since the beginning of my treatment for epilepsy, increased anxiety and depression stemming from the seizures. He always in a professional and very friendly manner explains the treatment of my seizures from all available angles. Very trustworthy. I would defiantly recommend to anyone. Including and not limited to friends and family members.
