The action was based on the Board's finding that Dr. Gripon failed to meet the standard of care, maintain adequate medical records and prescribe controlled substances in a manner consistent with public health and welfare for a patient with a psychiatric disorder as well as chronic pain.

I think they try, but some of us need more than a good try. The actual psychiatrist, Dr. Gripon, saw me once and didn't really evaluate me or anything. From then on I saw a female and she interrupted a lot, although I'm not sure if she notices she does it, but it made it very hard for me to communicate the things I felt were wrong with me. I just didn't feel like I was getting the help I needed there. I always left feeling more like I was just another dollar sign walking in and out than anything else.

If I could give half a star I would. Dr. Gripon is very unreliable. Many years ago he misdiagnosed me which costed me the custody of my child. Luckily, I went and saw another Psychiatrist and after several visits, I obtained custody of my child. Unfortunately, I had to pay through the roof because I had to see another Psychiatrist. I would caution anyone to be careful when seeing him. He is very arrogant. Maybe he's better to stick with forensics instead of attempting to destroy a human beings life because he doesn't happen to like the state she is from!! I can honestly say, I finished a career in the military plus my daughter is now 28 and I have a great relationship with her, so his diagnoses was completely off base! Proceed to his office with much caution!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this office. For starts I was 15 minutes late to my first appointment because I could not locate the office I attempted to leave voicemails (because there is never a live rep to speak with). My call were not returned. Upon arrival I was told I'd have to reschedule. That's fine but I was not given an appointment card with details of the rescheduled appointment. I left an additional two voicemails to verify my rescheduled appointment time and received no calls back. When I arrived I was informed that I was 30 minutes late and I would have to again reschedule. I expressed my frustrations and was met by the office manager who was VERY disrespectful! Not only were her comments unappropriated her tone was very demeaning and shocking to say that this supposed to be a place to help people. In addition the office failed to verify my correct contact information they had someone else's phone number under my profile. I was not even receiving text massages or call ahead of my appointment to ensure I was notified the correct information. 0 out of 10 wouldn't recommended not even because of the service providers; but because of the unorganized and highly disrespectful office staff and more specifically the Asian lady who does scheduling and failed to verify my contact information and the office manager who attitude and tone was very condescending. For starts I was 15 minutes late to my first appointment because I could not locate the office I attempted to leave voicemails (because there is never a live rep to speak with). Extremely disorganized and inconsiderate staff- DO NOT recommend. If you need prescriptions in a timely manner, at the same time every month due to federal regulations on narcotics, this is not the doctors office for you. I had problems every single month having to call multiple times a month to have them send the written request to the pharmacy and would then blame the pharmacy for the mix up. The same applies to appointment reschedules. If you need to reschedule or schedule an appointment they do not call back in a timely manner and then will expect the cancellation fee (not calling prior to appointment) to be paid, for their mistake. Dr Gripon rarely sees anyone, his NP made a major mistake when writing a prescription, I left many messages but she called and told me off very unprofessionally... before I could explain. I asked to talk the Doctor, so she had him drop me as a patient. I can not recommend anyone put their mental health in her hands. Staff (his wife) said he would call me, but he did not. I actually thought of her as a friend. ??

Hope you don’t want any prescriptions refilled or to talk to a person. The customer service and reliability is absolutely awful.

Great people to get your medications and information on your medications from.

Dr. Gripon listens well and does not over prescribe. He clearly identified where my struggle is, where problems are coming from and explain where the problem lies in my body. I was started with a lower dose but it increased as time has gone on. I feel great under his care. Also, with meetings over the phone, it saves time and money with virtual meetings but it is just like being in the office. Dr. Gripon is a Honest, Sincere and Relatable man.

Dr. Beth Anne Carson is absolutely the WORST therapist I have ever had. She doesn’t care about her patients well being and makes zero effort to genuinely understand a patient. Its very obvious that she’s only in it for the money. It’s already hard enough for an individual to work up the courage to reach out for mental help and it’s “professionals” like these who leave a bad taste in ones mouth about it. Please do yourself a huge favor and spend your money on a therapist who genuinely cares about helping you reach your mental health goals. I've been seeing Dr. Gripon for over 20 years and in my opinion he's one of the best in our area. I dont need a therapist so I cant make an honest evaluation of them. I would give 5 stars but the phone system is horrible. Patients calling have to hear about the directions, insurance options, lawyer options, and more. When someone has a mental disorder the length and waiting on the proper option to select can make one forget why they called in the first place. And for around 10 years now the initial thing you hear when calling is " please listen carefully because our menu options have changed "? If I call I become anxious before the phone rings. I love Dr. Gripon and would never see anyone else in Beaumont! He is an awesome doctor and listens to his patients!

My care provider in the office is very good at making sure everything is fine with me before she sends me out the door at the end of the visit.

Ridiculous wait times. Incorrect documentation of diagnoses. Failure to efficiently send paperwork to another treatment provider that they referred me to. The list goes on. You’re better off finding a provider in Houston.

People with mental disabilities need to be taken more seriously. This office does not do that whatsoever. You can't talk to a person and they never call you back. They made a big mistake on my prescription and now I can't get them to fix it. So I'm unmedicated until I don't know when. If you are choosing a mental health professional, just skip past this one. The best dr. I've had. Wish I could go back, But can't get in contact.

They are so friendly and very welcoming always really help talk to through things like a therapist but they can proscribe meds to help you feel better. Very happy with this office and their doctors.

I lost my son that’s why I needed to be seen at Dr. Gripons office, you never have to wait long and I always feel better after meeting with them.

His office staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with on the phone earlier. He may be good but I'll never go there because a rude office staff is a deal breaker. The woman, in her LACK od professionalism, hung up on me for asking a question. If I could give them no stars, I certainly would!!!

Dr. Gripon is EXCELLENT! The staff at this particular office are HORRIBLE when it has anything to do with phones, fax or prescriptions. Don't even bother trying to call them or leaving a message. You have to go in person if you want ANYTHING done. They don't return phone calls either. If it weren't for Dr. Gripon, I'd NEVER go back to this office again. We LOVE Dr. Gripon!!!!!

They never call you back. Can't talk to a live person when you call. Absolutely ridicules from a professional stand point. If another larger group more professional opened in this area, they would take 50% or more of there clients.

I hate automated answering systems no one will call you back!

I hate that you cannot get a person when calling!!! only a recording it is very frustrating....

Not a lot of options in this area, so this is the best of very slim pickin's. I have only actually seen Dr. Gripon once, it was my very first appointment... like 2 years ago. That being said, I like Beth Carson, the Psych PA, whom I see regularly. The staff often does not return calls as you would expect, and I have had to go back to the office to have them fully fill out my prescription because the pharmacy won't take it otherwise. No big deal, except I live about an hour away. Unfortunately my insurance will not cover the therapists in the same office, so i have only seen one of them, once. Didn't care for him, but hashing through my mothers death is not fun so it may not be him, just the circumstance of my visit. Will never answer phone and will not return call left on answering machine!

Front Office staff is very rude and unorganized. They schedule, resschedule, and place "no shows", on patient's files that are not accurate. The clinical staff and Dr. Gripon are fine. But the front office people are the first impressions of the office. They made us play 2 voicemails confirming that someone contacted us, in reference to a scheduled appointmet. We should not do your job for you, you should know when your patient's are scheduled. The phone system is horrible!!! When a voicemail is left, pray you get a return call. So, if they are not answering the phones, what is the Front Office staff doing??? The Front Office Staff at this office needs to be replaced. Dr. is GREAT! His staff is a bunch of self-righteous dufuses! Went in there the other day with severe anger issues. They chewed me up one side and down the other for not returnin' calls and the length of time between visits. I'M DISABLED.
