Edward C Gabalski

Back in 2021 during the second half of my senior year of high school, I had a case of chronic streptococcal tonsillitis. When I came to him and described my 4 and a half month ordeal, he instantly deduced that strep had made a home in my tonsils which explained why it was never killed despite not being resistant to any of the antibiotics I was taking. He came to the conclusion that the only way for me to become healthy again was to get the tonsils pulled. I had the surgery on July 2nd and he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. On the way home from the hospital he called my dad to make sure I was alright and he even called me several times during the recovery process when I was home laying low. Thanks to his expertise and the tonsillectomy, I now get sore throats only once a year from a virus. I no longer get them every month like back in senior year of high school during 2020-2021. I totally recommend Dr. Gabalski. He’s a TRUE legend!

Dr. Edward Conrad Gabalski is wonderful doctor

The man has no bed side manner. He proceeded to go on a five minute tirade about how he was not satisfied with the company I work for and their quality of images and how he was unhappy they took over another imaging facility. Told me to get imaging elsewhere. He accused me of looking or wanting a serious disease or diagnoses. When telling him my symptoms and pain have greatly increased over the last 5-6 yrs he said well your not dead right? Means it's nothing bad. Also, that he himself doesn't feel the same he did 6 years ago due to age. This is why women are misdiagnosed @ higher rate than men. He at one point said I offended him for saying that I feel like drs aren't listening to me and dismissing my issues and that they just want to mask them with pain management. I do not want to take random medicines, i want to find the cause of the problems and symptoms I am experiencing not mask them. He also alluded to my weight, not even knowing I lost 30lbs and still worsening symptoms. The man has no bed side manner. Dr. G is an amazing doc and is extremely knowledgeable!!! Don't judge a book by Google reviews!!! Dr. G. Took time out of his days off on New Years Eve, New Years Day and a Sunday to see me in the hospital while I was inpatient at GCH!!! The office staff from the front desk to the medical assistants are absolutely amazing!!! Oh and let's not forget Anthony, the PA, simply amazing!!!!! Rude obnoxious combative unprofessional! Saw Dr G. for vertigo. He said if treatment doesn't work come back. I was back 3 days later for an 11:45. Waited 1 hour+35 min with a fractured arm and leg with in a waiting room filled with people and COVID running rampant. In my 5 minutes with Dr. G. he rudely REFUSED to repeat the Epley maneuver, tells me I can do it at home myself! Refers me to New Hyde Park office but I can't drive due to multiple fractures (which he knew from my 1st appt). When I asked, "what do you think is causing the vertigo?" I was VERBALLY ASSAULTED accused of wanting a quick fix! I said, "excuse me-you don't know me-I simply want to know what causes vertigo. My son is a DR. at YALE and suggested repeating the Epley maneuver." He goes to get an rx comes back and apologizes for being "short" with me and he would've never had me come back for this! But I'm certain he'll bill my insurance cowho I will also be calling next to report.

Initial 15 minute visit costs over $1300?!?!! I expect to pay $250-$300 for an office visit, but if you are going to charge patients over $1300 for an initial visit, you need to warn them!

I saw this doctor today and found him to be very delightful, as my recent experience w/doctors have been very dismissive, and refreshing. Dr. Gabalski listen to my concerns, he was straight to the point (which I respect) yet pleasant. I was 20 minutes late b/c the horrible call center person wasn’t able to direct me to the Glen Cove office. However; the doctor did not tarry to see me. I was called right away and I left his office feeling confident about how to move forward. This review is a big deal for me because I’m not easily pleased. Good Doctor

I would love to give Gabalski a better review because he seems like a good guy and the surgery he performed on me went very smoothly. However, I have absolutely no time to be waiting over an hour for an appointment with any doctor who either constantly overbooks or, as in one case, comes in 1.5hr late to my appointment. After my surgery, I was supposed to have 3 follow ups. Follow Up #1: Waited for an hour past my appointment time. With him for less than 10 minutes. Follow Up #2: Waited for almost 1.5hrs before asking to reschedule. Nothing was available and was told I would get a call. Follow Up #2 and #3: ??? Never received a call and even with the secretaries there, who are all more than accommodating as are the PA/nurses (y'all get 5 stars), calling the office transfers you to a Northwell call center where you get people that LITERALLY couldn't care any less about you. I then recieved a bill for a copay I didn't make and saw a $4000+ bill with my measly $30 copay. Whether this was for my procedure he was late for or any of my appointments he was late for, I cannot stand doctors that think their time is the only one worth billing for and Gabalski just made me feel like an insurance claim versus an actual patient he wanted to see improve. Whether he knows this is going on or not is none of my concern; it's not my job to fix your practice. With that being said, I will make it my job to find another ENT who respects their patient's time, needs, and their own appearance to the practice. I went to 3 or 4 ENT’s between Glen Cove and Great Neck. I finally decided on Dr. Gabalski after being misdiagnosed by a prior ENT. Dr Gabalski hit the nail right on the head. He recommended surgery for a chronic sinus infection that was not going away with powerful antibiotics prescribed by the other ENT’s. I was told not to expect any bedside manners from Dr. gabalski yet I found him to be very compassionate understanding and a good listener which is what a good doctor does. After my surgery he went out to my wife where she was waiting with my family and gave a full report of everything that was done, and what to expect. My wife was very surprised to find a compassionate and very friendly doctor happy to give a good prognosis. Overall an excellent experience and would definitely recommend him anytime. By the way he has a wonderful bedside manner he is just a straightforward doctor with no nonsense which is the kind of doctor that one wants. Thank you Dr. Gabalski. God bless you. My son has been under Dr. Gabalski care for 13 years and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Gabalski has been amazing and patient with my son whom was not a great patient when younger. He has always gone the extra mile to make sure my son was comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Gabalski.

I give Dr Gabalski my highest recommendation. He is a very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate physician. Throughout my cancers and hearing issues he has been accurate with his diagnosis, advice and treatments. He has always given me just what I am looking for in a doctor. I have full confidence in Dr Gabalski.

Saw Dr. Gabolski for a left ear issue after having to wait 4 weeks for an appointment He gave me a prescription for a hearing test which I took, but I'm still waiting for him to follow up with me on the results now several weeks later. I called his office twice more the last two Mondays and left a message each time asking that he return my call, i.e. follow up with me! Still waiting......

Making my last review more informative. He is Excellent. My 4 year old had tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gabalski was my sons surgeon. He is very thorough, warm, attentive and spent more than the recommended time any doctor should have, explaining procedures and after care instructions.

Not anyone that I would recommend. He saw my Family relative for less than 30 minutes and charged her $789.00 through her insurance. He provided his recommendation based on what he examined as well as instructions on next steps and never followed up or had his Office call back to respond to next steps. He is been doing this too long and is a perfect example of what is wrong with this Health Care System. Making an appointment is the only to speak to him, but he will charge you again!

Doctor will not call patient back with test results. It has been over a week with several messages left for the doctor. I don't know what else to do at this point! Obviously we found a new doctor... I am completely at a loss of words to describe my anguish. You have a patient who took a very serious test and no one reaches out to discuss the results or returns phone calls! (9 days since test - 5 messages left for the doctor - patient was told 2 days for results). Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and go some place else! I would never recommend this doctor to anyone that I cared about. I am extremely upset and immediately sent my records to a different doctor. Please be advised this doctor does not return phone calls. While dealing with a sensitive situation he was completely numb to patient's feelings. Waiting over a week for results on a scan – left numerous messages which went unanswered. I actually had to switch doctors because he wouldn't get back to us!

I was extremely fortunate that I took my 13 year old son to see Dr. Gabalski. Dr. Gabalski examined him and suspected he had a very rare tumor called JNA. He suggested an MRI which confirmed his suspicion and referred him to an amazing Dr.at Lenox Hills Hospital. Dr. Gabalski called me at home that night and asked me to call him if I needed anything. He did help me when I needed something important. He is honest and extremely knowledgeable in his field.

I had a very bad experience with this dr, I went there suffering from sinus infections, and ear problems, he insulted me and said I needed to lose weight, so I said I've lost weight, then he said well you have alot more to go, I left crying and told girls at desk I will not be coming back, I thought that was extremely rude, I was there for my sinus problems, not a weight consult,
