Dr Freeman is excellent. He is genuinely caring and kind. He is thorough and professional. I see him every 3-4 months for medication management. His office staff is professional and communication is always clear and prompt.

This dude is all about the money. During our little visit he asked me what he could help with. I informed him it’s been years since I’ve seen a psychiatrist but I have a history with mental health and have been prescribed medicine before. (As an adult I’ve noticed that my mental health may need more attention and I couldn’t control it without meds as much as I thought) He proceeds to tell me that I need counseling and “…pills wont help with anything”….I’m literally diagnosed with depression, ADD, ADHD, and Bi-Polar but he wouldn’t let me tell him that and kept interrupting me. The video conference was for a total of 10 minutes and I was billed $300 for him to be rude, interruptive and arrogant with his ways. I would love to take this higher and plan on it. I’ve never seen a more unprofessional psychiatrist out of many I’ve dealt with in my life.

I have been seeing Doctor Freeman for many many years. This man has been a rock, a life-saver, a crutch and an all around great person. I read many reviews about how people feel he doesn't have bedside manners, or is too blunt or whatever the case. In my case, what I find most helpful is that he is open, honest, blunt, no BS kind of doctor, and in order for me to get the Mental Health help I need, I'd rather he be transparent and concise and not sugar coat. Many people may see this as poor bedside manner, but in reality, if people can get past their sensitivities and look at situations objectively, honestly and openly, your life will be much better. If you want the sugarcoat (not always the best route), then that's on you, but transparency, knowledge and no BS is the best way to go. Don't mistake Ruthless and direct with bedside manners. People don't like to face reality and he makes one do that......the key to success....KUDOS Dr. Freeman. Wish there were more like you. You're a rare breed, never ever change. Dr. Freeman is very direct and honest. If you want someone to listen and help, this is the doctor for you. If you want someone to prescribe what you've already been taking without further diagnosis, or if you are easily offended by someone with a different opinion than you, he may not be the best choice. I saw Dr. Freeman for several years and found him to be very helpful and caring.

His manager Patrick was very unprofessional and I knowledgeable of his information. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are seeking help. They have no regards to patient care. Patrick was making sly remarks to someone else as I was still on the phone. It’s unfortunate how staff in a psychiatric clinic behaved

Dr Freeman comes off very aggressive and ONLY hears what he wants to hear . He will ask you questions and once you reply back he would interrupt you letting you know that what you are saying is not medical illness related and he do not need to know that right now. “Ok” he is very sarcastic and has no patience at all ( I heard him sighhh) through the phone . Dr Freeman is definitely not a good fit if this is your first rodeo by the time you hang up with him you will feel even more confused and helpless. Look elsewhere..

I have ptsd with paranoia, insomnia, bipolar disorder (type 2 which he says is a joke.) I came to him because primary care sent me to him for refills for meds I am already on. I don't need to be re-diagnosed. My meds were working fine. He says every single one of these "labels" is over diagnosed, overplayed and very rare. He doesn't want to hear what another Dr diagnosed you with or see records from your past encounters. He has an issue with every other professional. Constantly dragging Drs, counselors/therapists/social workers through the mud. He had a fit when he learned I was treated most efficiently by a Psych Nurse Practitioner because "they do not have the training I have and do not know what they are doing". Said miscarriage and death were not significant enough to cause longterm sleep issues. Claims my sleep issues are physical and I need to see a sleep specialist instead. Rude and very mean. Not suited to treat anyone who is psychologically fragile. Stay far away.

Poor and discourteous service. Staff rarely answers the phone even during office hours. I paid for a flight physical and was turned away with Dr Freeman keeping the payment without actually providing the service I paid for. Went to Dr Freeman for an FAA flight physical. The first appointment I had with him he was an hour and a half late. He explained it was due to an emergency so I shrugged it off. I went back for a new flight physical, asking how I could change from a class 2 to a class 1. I arrived on the day that the receptionist had told me was my appointment only to learn that I had evidently had to make an appointment with the receptionist to make an appointment with the doctor. She took the cash only payment and scheduled me for an appointment. After a death in the family, I called and asked to reschedule. The receptionist didn't answer my calls and after several attempts, I resorted to email. I was able to reschedule the appointment finally. Shortly afterwards, the receptionist emailed me back to inform me that my appointment had been moved to 3 weeks later but hadn't called me. I went in person to try and straighten it out. I was polite and courteous, explaining that I only needed a simple change to my flight physical which was still valid. Dr Freeman spoke with me for 2 minutes, beginning the conversation with "don't you come in here and tell me what to do" which he repeated several times. I explained that I simply needed a new physical and would be happy to pay the full amount for a new one and had already paid fee and done the paperwork. He told me that I needed to talk to the FAA and that he would not do my physical. I asked if I could have a refund for the 120$ I had paid or if he would be ok with just doing my next annual without a fee. He was very discourteous and said that I had already paid for his time and would have to pay again next time. I won't be going back. Poor and discourteous service. If I could give a lower score I would. STAY AWAY from this man. I would not even call him a doctor. He is belittling and demeaning. I have spoken to several other patients that tried using him (after I saw him) and they all received the same condescending “treatment.” Other physicians have even had issues with this man. He traumatized me after my visit with him. When I voiced my concerns, he told me to get out of his office right away and that he would not treat me. He sure was quick to bill my insurance and me before I could even submit the grievance. This is not the kind of person that should be seeing people with delicate mental health conditions. Used to see Dr. Freeman. The office is unreachable most of the time, the only way to reach them is to leave a voicemail. Scheduling is also nearly impossible. During any given session Dr. Freeman usually the one talking, about himself. I think if I had been seeing him for any other issues than ADD, I would be in trouble. This man does not know how to communicate with people. I once told him about a personal situation and his response was more than inadequate and awkward, something you’d expect from a socially awkward stranger, not a mental health professional. The last time I saw him was when he lectured me like a school girl about the practices of his office (refills) as if I had done something wrong. If he didn’t want to refill my medications, he didn’t have to, but to yell at me for it was unprofessional. Nobody forced him. Left in tears, never going back. I had a very bad experience with this doctor and would advise any patient seeking services from him to be very careful. This doctor publicly humiliated me outside his office after going early for my appointment of which he forgot to schedule. He confronted me outside his office like a criminal after paying him $2000 for his services and yet it was his mistake to begin with. I also noticed that he doesnt really know much of what he talks about. I would like the med board/FAA to look into this Doc

I've had 3 psychiatrists over 21 years. Nothing about his care is standard NOT BOARD CERTIFIED and does not make that apparent, yet charges more than a certified one Did not want 21 years of medical records No psych eval Excessive appts_ Norm is every 3 months, he insists on monthly visits despite lack of med changes and he says I'm doing fine, but suggests I'm not stable Accepts personal calls during visits Doesn't ask how I'm doing Filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board and BBB

Once I allowed Dr. Freeman to help me, my perception of him changed. Initially I felt he was too direct... but That’s the thing with having mental health issues... sometimes you just can’t seem to connect the dots....now after a few months with Dr. Freeman I can honestly say I appreciate how he’s helping me get back to connecting... Unprofessional and needs to "re-evaluate" his "office manager" Patrick. HEB wouldn't fulfill a Rx for my husband from Dr. Freeman because there were no instructions on it so it was back and forth for days trying to get the instructions. In the mean time, Patrick calls and interrogates my husband because HEB had a computer glitch and submitted the request more than once. Claiming my husband "harassed" HEB for his medication. HEB now says his insurance won't cover it without a Dr approval. We find out that Patrick told my husband's insurance not to cover the Rx because it's having "negative effects" on him (this is a new Rx that he hasn't taken since high school). After what felt like a thousand voicemails and round and round phone calls, Dr Freeman FINALLY calls and tells my husband that he isn't going to release his Rx because he's acting "erratic". What? He hasn't done anything but try to fix THEIR mistake and was treated like some kind of criminal. The whole experience was mind boggling and extremely unprofessional. Definitely finding a new doctor. Due to back surgery, I was in bed and off meds for 4 months. When I finally returned to work, it was going to be a couple months wait to see him, so my PCM gave me a script for my med. This happened only 1 time ever. When I finally was able to get into Dr. Freeman's office, he flat refused to treat me anymore. Then, made me feel like a drug seeker because I was on strong pain meds at the time following a very extensive surgery. My diagnosis was nothing new to him. I've never sought after medication from another professional except that one time. It's been months now that I'm even able to write this review. I left his office traumatized and still am by the treatment I received that day. I've not had mental health care properly treated in quite some time. It's a real shame when you do ANSOLUTELY nothing wrong, nothing illegal, and still be made to feel like a criminal who he threw to the street. Never would I recommend this person to treat anyone. I pray the medical board investigates that entire office. I see here I'm not the only one to experience this treatment. It's extremely difficult for me to even talk about, but others must be aware. I absolutely adore Dr. Freeman. He is straightforward and very knowledgeable in his field. I went to him wanting answers. I understood my emotions and WHY I was feeling the way I did, but I wanted an explanation of WHAT chemically and biologically creates those feelings. I needed to understand the science. I wasn't there for someone to hold my hand and tell me "poor thing, I'm sorry your life has been hard". I was there to see a doctor that was EDUCATED on medications that would make my life better and more manageable. I got exactly what I was there for. I am still a patient and I leave his office after every appointment feeling inspired that my life will only continue to get better. Some may not like his bluntness or honesty, but if you're looking for a Doctor that is intelligent, Dr. Freeman is that. I wanted a physician not a shoulder to cry on. Do you think your eye doctor is concerned about all the things you've ever seen in your life? No, he's concerned with how you see and giving you the tools to make you see better. Wish I could give a negative rating. This man is a sociopath. Been seeing other mental health providers for 20 years and this guy gave me a completely inaccurate diagnosis after talking to me for 15 minutes but could not give a reason he gave me the diagnosis. Made me feel awful for asking and answering questions. A lesser person battling bigger mental health issues can easily be victimized by him. He gave me a pamphlet on the way out with no explanation. Do not see this in-human.

I have already recommended him to friends. A lot of reviews say he's abrupt and unfriendly. I say he's a no-nonsense psychiatrist who only wants to get to the core of the problem and make sure you're on the meds that work for you. No more no less. Before finding Dr Freeman I had bounced around to several psychiatrists who only took out a Prescription Pad but never tried to find out what work for me. Dr Freeman make sure to get a good history from me and found the meds cover right for me.

Horrible experience with this so called doctor. He is useless and is only in it for the money. he dsnt care about your well being. I went in today to get back on my meds after 3 months of not seeing him because i could not afford his fee. He started off with attitude and then I asked him if I should start retaking my paxil at a lower dose than before because I dont want to jump into a high dose and experience anxiety adjusting to the medicine he said a blunt "NO". Would not recommend to anyone with REAL issues. This guy is ruthless and talks to you like you are under investigation and I was not asking for time off work or any sedative drugs, purely a consultation. The doctor was not listening when I clearly explained my father had passed away and not 10 minutes later he asked if my mother and father were still together. Aweful! Biggest issue I have is that 3 doctors have proven I have issues with anxiety and panic attacks and have approved me for short term disability which I just got off and returned to work and decided to see this doctor just to renew prescriptions for anti depressant with more convenience to my location. This doctor had me repeating my explanation of what I felt during these panic attacks over and over and he acted like I've been lying and kept asking me why do I keep calling them panic attacks. I finally had to tell the doctor I was very uncomfortable with the way he was talking to me and abruptly left. I have seen 6 different psychiatrist while on short term disability and this is the worst I have ever encountered. I hope you read this Dr. Freeman and learn from this experience. You cannot talk to people like that and expect everyone to sit there like its all kosher. People have problems and need help which is why they come to you. Very pleased. Strait forward, no game playing. He can spot BS a mile away so if that's your thing then forget it. If you want someone to baby you and tell you what you want to hear then go waste your time somewhere else. But, if you want to make some purposeful strides then I would recommend him. Very unprofessional. After receiving our copay, he decided that my daughter's situation was not easy enough for him to deal and, although the question was not screened at the time the appt was made, he can't see her because she is involved in some legal issues that have absolutely nothing to do with her medical need. Very poor communication and I'd advise against making an appt with this office. We waited 6 weeks for the appt and now we will be starting over with someone else. Shameful.
