Dr. Diao and his staff are very professional, and Dr. Diao was very knowledgeable about my injuries and how to fix them. My hand is much better now.

Dr. Diao is the best in his field. He answered all my questions and thought of a few that I hadn't. I know I am in good hands (pun alert!). The office staff is friendly and welcoming. My appointment started on time and I was on my way not long after.

I broke my 4th metacarpal on a Tuesday night and Dr. Diao was able to see me on that Thursday and schedule me for surgery that next week. He is quick, fast and efficient. He is a true surgeon at heart and good at what he does. He could however, use a nurse or PA. Someone that has the time and bedside manner for patient care when taking x-rays and fitting braces. During each appointment, my hand was painful from from the pins and the break, and he just didn't have a gentle touch in the early stages of healing. I feel like I'm pretty tough (athlete, surfer, acrobat) but almost passed out twice in Dr. Diao's office from the pain in post-op visits. Superb doctor in every way. Very nice, efficient staff too.

Broke my hand and Dr Diao performed the best surgery giving me back 100% of my strength. Super qualified doctor. Definitely recommend!!

This is my first visit to Dr. Diao for my elbow pain. Dr. Diao did a detailed exam then X-Ray and confirmed it is tennis elbow. Dr. Diao gave me a shot and today I feel much better. Before I even felt pain scratch my head. Highly recommend Dr. Diao.

Dr. Diao is clear, concise and to the point, while being very personable at the same time. He had great information, explained my options thoroughly, and really gave me the sense that he was top in his field. I would recommend seeing Dr. Diao for any hand, finger, wrist issues.

Dr. Diao is an amazing doctor. I had a bad fall a few years ago and badly dislocated 2 fingers (lived in Oregon at the time). They ultimately fused at a 90 degree angle despite months of physical therapy. I moved 3 hours from San Francisco and my local surgeon referred me to Dr. Diao for joint replacement surgery in order to regain mobility and alleviate my joint pain. He did an amazing job! 2 months post op, my fingers are straight again and I have great movement in my fingers again. Only downside is living 3 hours from SF, but would do it all over again to get the results I have! Thank you Dr. Diao!! Dr. Diao is an amazing doctor. Dr. Diao put me at ease when I was worried about the healing progress on my sprained thumb - he made me comfortable with his humor and kindness, and explained everything thoroughly, making sure to answer all of my questions.

It was highly recommend to me to see Dr. Diao, I now know why. I felt well taken care of and respected. I was given excellent care and treatment. The office staff are very cordial and helpfu, booking an appointment was easy. Dr. Diao is well educated , experienced and informed me of my conditions as well as the options for remedies, in a way where I truly learned about myself. A true ‘doc(tere) ‘ in the Latin sense. I was referred to Dr. Diao by a friend, and he has been my go to orthopaedic doctor ever since then (and we continue to refer him to others). He puts the patients needs first, offers practical and sensible advice, and tells it like it is. After discussing my lifestyle, he recommended that I not have surgery and instead recommended numerous ways to help mitigate some of my chronic injuries. It's incredibly refreshing to have a surgeon treat surgery as a last resort that should only be elected if it will truly help the patient in the long term. Thank you Dr. Diao for everything! Just had carpal tunnel release performed by Dr. Diao. Post operatively, very little swelling or brusing. I've got full range of motion and no pain. Day of procedure was extremely organized and pleasant. I have a single 2cm scar. Highly recommended!

Dr. Diao changed my life. After living with thumb everyday pain for 2 years at 26 years old I needed someone great. I saw almost a dozen hand surgeons, considered the best in various cities, over 2 years to resolve my issue. None had confidence or even seemed to know what was my issue. Diao identified my problems in a matter of seconds. I never had a painful day post surgery. My recovery has been rapid and impressed my therapists in terms of stability.
