Dr. Edward Curcio III

I have seen Dr. Curcio a few times at the ER as I have an ongoing chronic illness. Each time, it seems like he is rushing to get the visit done as quickly as possible. Other doctors and nurses at this ER are great; warm, friendly, and compassionate—Dr. Curcio, on the other hand, encompasses none of these qualities and shows no empathy toward patients. Sometimes he’s made me feel silly for even coming in in the first place. He is very quick to dismiss valid concerns. I know you can’t choose what doctor you see at an ER, but if I could, I’d never choose Dr. Curcio!

Negative comments are spot on. Missed my mouth with the flashlight when saying ahhh. Didn't matter, he wasn't looking! Incorrect notes minimized my symptoms.

Very caring emergency treatment for my gastro issues

I was his patient at Mt Auburn ER recently. I was struck by the disdain I saw in Dr Curcio's eyes over his mask. I wondered if he was going through a hard time or if this was how he is. As unpleasant as it was in a scary situation, I didn't feel this contempt, arrogance and impatience were directly related to me. He didn't seem to interact in a collegial way with staff.

Did the least amount of work possible when I came in with a genuine medical issue. And unpleasant while doing it.

I'm surprised to see these negative comments about Dr. Curcio. He was my doctor when I came in for a manic episode and I'm still very grateful for how sensitive and effective he was dealing with me when I was in a very paranoid state. My family was also very grateful for him.

He is a pompous, arrogant person. He doesn't listen to what you have to say. He doesn't examine you or look at your history to determine what is best for you.

He is not a very understanding and compassionate doctor. Does not thoroughly exam or take into consideration what you know about yourself.
