Edward Hsia0-Kua Chang

Compass Oncology appears to be having some issues lately. I have been on a monthly lab regime with Dr. visit every 3rd month for PV. That was going fine until recently. I got a call saying I needed to schedule labs AND phlebotomy for next two months. The phlebotomy was news to me. It was never discussed. I go in and do it. Then several days later I get a call from a scheduler. "We need to schedule next months appointment". I say "We already did. It's on MM/DD at 10:20." "We don't show that." My question is, where did that info go?!? Did you transition to a new system, or is the current one faulty, or are schedulers failing to input dates agreed to over the phone? Next visit will not be with Dr. but with NP. Maybe that's OK. Maybe it's not. Although previous visits with Dr. Chang have been fine, I'm no longer impressed with the system. Remember, you have to be your own advocate, and don't assume anything.

Grateful to have Dr. Chang as my oncologist! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes his time with each and every appointment. The whole Compass team is amazing.

Dr. Chang is the best Oncologist I've seen. I saw a total of 3 Oncologists in the Providence system-each one either moved to another Providence facility or left altogether. Dr. Chang is kind, respectful, and thorough. At our 1st appointment he listened carefully to my concerns. I knew he had reviewed my history prior to my initial appointment. During later appointments, he engaged in our conversations, and he gave me specific direction and plans to address my health issues.

The Staff is very kind,, friendly and helpful.

I have only been to see Dr. Chang a handful of times so far, but was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of Dr. Chang and all of the staff at the reception desks, the lab, and the infusion area. I had a large number of concerns from head to toe after some testing and scans at St. Vincent's and was left with a lot of questions and worries. Dr. Chang addressed the issues in his realm one by one, and clarifying terms and what steps would come next.

Dr Chang is the best doctor I’ve had in my 67 years.

Doctor Change is terrific. He is tremendous in explaining all the necessary information and answers all my questions in great detail. It's obvious he cares for his patients. He has a wonderful personality and makes me feel comfortable. He is optimistic and offers all suggestions on the proper care for me. Very happy Dr. Chang is my doctor!

Great doctor. Saw him today and he took his time with me, gave us very good help, answered our questions, and took his time to throw out a few jokes. Very thorough with his work and very helpful. Everyone is always personable and you can tell they care.always patient and if I have questions I'm never rushed through. I'm very comfortable with the whole team.

Dr. Chang and his staff are professional, kind,compassionate and go above and beyond for their patients. I have been with Dr. Chang for many years and they are like family. Dr. Chang is my favorite Dr. That I have had. I'm grateful and thankful for him . Everyone from front desk , nurses, billing,and scheduling. I appreciate everyone. Dr Chang is compassionate, listens to me, addresses my concerns and answers all my questions. He is informative, providing results of all my test results in vernacular I understand. He is personable with a sense of humor when needed and gets me, appreciates my sense of humor as well, given the circumstances. Bottom line, he's helping save my life and doing it with all the necessary tools to make me feel safe and cared for. The whole staff is, without a doubt, stellar.

Every person from check in; the lab; the treatment room; his assistant; Dr Chang; schedulers have treated me with courtesy, respect, compassion and kindness without fail. Service is very nice and friendly. Shorter waiting time then before. The injection speed would be a little bit slower, because the medicine is quite thick.

Dr. Chang is my all-time favorite doctor. He is very attentive, has wonderful interpersonal skills, and is extremely knowledgeable. I can not recommend him enough.

I had an excellent visit with Dr. Chang. Extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I am very comfortable with Compass Oncology. The facility is extremely clean, comfortable while waiting, and all-inclusive laboratory makes it a one stop visit.

I admire, love & appreciate Dr Chang's specialty knowledge, compassion, kindness, positive approach, sincerity & explanations of tests. He has taken excellent care of me for years. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Dr. Chang is a professional and caring physician. He treats the whole person . He is very thorough . Labs and exams are comprehensive. For a cancer patient that is just part of our treatment. The other important part is talking with a compassionate provider who cares very deeply for his patients, and he makes me laugh! I can’t imagine any better qualities for an oncologist. I give him an A +.

At my last visit, Dr. Chang sweetly told me that I am his most boring patient. As a survivor of a very unusual stage 4 cancer, I loved hearing those words! I would recommend Dr. Chang (and have) to anyone I know who is diagnosed with cancer. His honesty is tempered by his wonderful kindness and compassion.

It was routine but at the end of a very long long day for my doctor, so I waited longer than usual.

Dr Chang has been my oncologist for nearly 19 years, through initial stage 4 lymphoma and residual smoldering lymphoma, treating each flare-up through the years. Dr. Chang has been one of my doctors for over 15 years. I am constantly impressed with his knowledge and ability to explain things. He gives me comfort because he is very adept at spotting things that other physicians have overlooked. I strongly recommend him.

Dr. Chang has been exceptional to work with from day one. For the past three years he has been my Oncologist. I feel extremely confident in his care. I believe he genuinely cares.
