I definitely do not recommend this doctor. he saw my 7 month old daughter and diagnosed a cyst on her little finger, when we asked him how long we would have to wait for it to go away he told us “this could take years” like someone goes to the doctor looking for a solution for something and leaves completely full of doubts? that doesn't make sense to me. No bedside manners. Seems like he was bothered we were there. Daughter has a cyst on hand. Went somewhere else, very happy.

Went there two years ago for my daughter's ganglion cysts. Every appointment we went to he would say, yeah it is there, but then said call me if anything changes or there is pain. When we did that, he didn't do anything about it but take my $60 copay everytime. He did order an ultrasound, but never followed up with us about it. My daughters hand started to get more problematic and her thumb changed in size as if the fluid was moving into other parts of her hand. She also lost rotation which caused her to miss out on too many things, for example, her dance teacher started removing her from certain things because she couldn't do these movements and skills due to her rotation issues. Then she started to get these cysts in her other hand. So our last appointment with him he finally said he would operate. It took us three months to even get a date for the surgery and that day he waited until a half hour after surgery was supposed to start to tell us he wasn't going to do it. He is a down to earth, humorous man with a positive attitude and is obviously competent.

went there for help for my carpal tunnel they seem like they were to busy to bother then before i left they said oh here are some hand braces they r to small for u but thats all we have then billed my insurance like 200 bucks for them i ended up going to western ma hand center for surgury and so glad i did

Very professional. Explained the surgical procedure thoroughly.

This was my first time time at Dr Calkins office I was very happy with the advise he gave and very pleased with my visit will recommend him to anyone With the same problem.

Dr. Calkins explained everything and the options I had. He helped me make a decision that I was comfortable with.

Very nice and attentive

performed surgery for a condition that did not exist. Had to resign from my 40 year career because of it.

I walked into Dr. Calkins' office hoping for an answer to my condition. But I got the exact opposite; I waited a half hour just so he could pop right into the office and tell me that I was fine, when clearly I wasn't. How every CNA/MA there that saw me prior could tell me that something looked wrong but the actual doctor didn't shows a lack of care that he barely put into the visit. I was very disappointed that he didn't explain to me any further steps to take to find out about my condition. Unless there is something truly seriously wrong, please do your best to avoid seeing Dr. Calkins.
