Dr. Perez did my decompression surgery, after 2 lumbar compression fractures. After one week of healing I am totally pain free.

Dr Perez performed surgery on my neck, lamenectomy of C4 thru C7, for compression of my spinal cord in two places due to arthritis bone growth. Before surgery I had numbness in both hands and fingers, and in both forearms. I also experienced difficulty walking. In just a few months, the tingling subsided in my forearms and hands, and my legs became much stronger and stable. I can now walk without any trouble, and only experience slight tingling in my fingers in both hands. Dr Perez was vital in getting my surgery scheduled right away and was very personable and caring. And he always made sure that all of my questions were answered. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a neurosurgeon. Dr Perez gave me the ability to be independent. My back was a mess to the point where I couldn’t stand to make dinner. He encouraged me to lose weight and was a wonderful cheerleader with my accomplishments. He is frank as to what he can achieve with surgery . I did my research for the best surgeon and found the best.

Dr.Perez performed my spinal surgery in February 2019. The results could not be any better. He explained at every visit was was going on with my spine and answered questions in lay man's terms, so I could clearly understand what he was talking about. He was recommended to me and I am grateful for that. I am highly recommend him as well.

Dr. Perez, I have wanted to write this letter for some time now. My wife was diagnosed with a stage 4 GBM. At age 61 the odds were stacked against her. Average time of survival being 14 months. You and your team operated on her within weeks. She has undergone numerous mri's, chemo, radiation and now takes two drugs because she has had speech related "seizures on occasion. Now she suffers only from minor word recall symptoms. What I want to share is that this happened over 10 years ago. Cannot help but be thankful for your level of expertise and skill during your operation. I understand that the outcomes of some procedures you do must result in frustration and concern. I wanted you to know that by your hand we have experienced 10 wonderful years that we never expected to have (and hope to have many more). Our family wants to thank you and to relate the positive impact your skill and knowledge have had on our lives. We received unparallelled care from Dr. and nurse at Eau Claire and Menomonie branches of the Mayo Clinic. Drs. from all over the world (Africa, S. I had a laminectomy and fusion 1/21/18 This MD and his NP gave me my life back! Bold, gives the facts and is right to the point. I had 100% recovery and NP as helpful. I was never left in pain, wondering about what would happen. He was even willing to be a advocate for my health after having a accident 6 months later Tibeal/Plateau fx with compartment syndrome. He and NP made me feel as though they truly cared about me. If you need a neurosurgeon, pick the best. The best! Thank-You

Dr. Perez is blunt and doesn't sugarcoat anything, which I really appreciated. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and was able to preform an L5S1 microdiscectomy in 45 minutes. His team of nurses is caring and compassionate. I would recommend him time and time again.

Dr. Perez performed L4-L5 fusion on me in 2010. From the first meeting Dr. Perez was direct and honest. I could clearly see that he was interested in the best possible outcome. List to and follow his post surgery instruction. It takes time and persistence for a good recovery. I am here to say I have my life back and today in 2016 have 0 pain. However I still to this day remember and follow his post surgery instructions. He tells it like it is and all you need to do is listen. PT team was great.

Dr. Perez and his staff went far out of their way to get me in for consultation in a timely manner, and from there into surgery for my condition as soon as possible, all while dealing with a decidedly recalcitrant insurance provider. Dr. Perez was clear in his communications with me, took my concerns and questions into account and ensured all issues were addressed. A consummate professional and a skilled surgeon. Delighted to recommend him, fortunate to have found him.

His ego that get's in the way of caring for a patients needs. If you are looking for a compassionate doctor, don't bother to go to Dr. Perez. If you are suffering with chronic pain due to a spinal condition and have poor quality of life as a result, not only can he not help you but he gives you no alternative treatment options. If you are an acute patient who is in imminent danger of paralysis then he may be obligated to help you.
