Dr. Edgardo Averion Faylona

Was diagnosed with stage 4 mantle cell lymphoma in 2003 in which Dr Faylona treated me. i relapsed soon after. He researched clinical trials around the country and recommended City of Hope for chemo, immuntherapy, radiation stem cell. Saved my life. Great great doctor and highly regarded in his profession. Very personable but also very busy like most doctors. Still see him every 3 - 6 months for checkups. I wont go to any other doctors, even if i have a cold. Only him :-)

Very easy to talk to, listen to your concerns and give you clear answers. Explains clearly your condition and available remedies . The only four stars for dr. trust in his decisions is the fact that dr. Faylona is my first and only oncologist so I don't have a reference point to judge against...but I would say he is excellent, that's my perception of him.

Dr. Faylona spends as much time with patient as necessary. His skill at breaking down very complex medical issues to explainable pieces that anybody can understand is exceptional.

I have Sickle Cell Disease. It's hard to find a doctor that takes the time to education themselves about my Disease. However Dr. Faylona does. He does everything possible to help me avoid painful crisis and traumatic episodes that patients with sickle cell are known to have. Because of him I live the best life possible. I'm very appreciative and very grateful.
