Dr. Ebrahim Hazany

I have been a patient of Dr. Hazany during two different periods of my life. Both times his staff has been professional and attentive. He is a knowledgeable and caring doctor. He always addresses all of my concerns. He is thorough and outsources any area of expertise outside his purview, giving his patients multiple resources. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in improving their mental health.

As a medical provider myself, I have sent many patients to Dr. Hazany due to his excellent reputation in the Ventura County. He is very intelligent, kind and has a great bedside manner. Psychiatry is one of the most difficult specialties in all of medicine. I'm glad I found Dr. Hazany to refer my patients to.

I saw Dr. Hazany for a few years. He was knowledgable and cared about my welfare. But, if I had a new symptom, he would sometimes ask me if I thought it was due to my medications. And I would not know the answer to that.

DO NOT COME HERE!! they are sketchy. They took $130 out of my account in September, yet I never had/ made an appointment in September. It's now December and i've called for months to give me my money back, yet they still are putting it off and pretend that they're "talking to people to figure it out and they'll get back to me." They never call me back and they don't care. If you don't want your money taken away, do not come here. DO NOT COME HERE!! they are sketchy. I have seen Dr Hazany for about 8 years. I feel that he really tries to understand your needs, your problems and tries to help you. I feel that he is very experienced, gentle and kind. He has helped so many of my friends, that’s why I went to see Dr Hazany in the first place, good recommendations from friends that I trusted.

Went in and was really impressed. Dr seems very caring and invested in his patients. He worked with me to get me on proper medication including helping me get a nonaddictive anti anxiety medication. Very professional staff highly recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Hazany for approximately 3 years now and I am so grateful to have found him and his wonderful staff. It is difficult to find any physician let alone a psychiatrist who is not only extremely competent but also genuinely cares for a patients wellbeing yet he happens to be one of those rarities that encompasses both imperative qualities. He truly listens and has the uncanny ability to hone in on those questions that really get to the root of the issue so that he can tailor a treatment plan specifically for you and adjust as needed. Also, I have found the insightfulness of his questions and feedback remind me to evaluate my motives, actions, and emotions and the roles they play in my life. Mindfulness is so important in general but particularly when getting treatment not only in regards to the responses you have to medications but to the reasons you sought help to begin with. To qualify that last statement he is a psychiatrist and not a therapist (though I imagine he would make an amazing therapist as well) but he does definitely encourage incorporating therapy in to the treatment plan (and will provide referrals) to augment treatment from different angles. Lastly, if he assesses that you need a bit more time during an appointment HE WILL MAKE THAT TIME. You are NOT just another number with a strict time allotment. He will NOT throw a prescription at you and shove you out the door if your time is up. He WILL make sure that both of you are comfortable with and understand the treatment plan every time you see him. Now keep in mind though this may mean some days your time in the waiting room may be longer because he deemed it necessary to spend more time with an earlier patient and while that may be frustrating if you have a tight schedule keep in mind that when the day comes that you may need that extra time you will get it. I did not feel confident in his referral based on the limited information he requested from me in our 2 sessions. Also in less than 2 hours, he reduced my emotional breakdown & hospitalization to one person - my dad. My alcoholic and abusive mother never even came up. Recent religious obsession was not addressed. He was not warm at all. Now I am in trauma therapy and learning that what happened to me as a child is key & working thru this. I am confident that my therapist cares deeply.

Really happy with this dr. Office. Was worried because was not covered under insurance. So saw him and paid out of pocket. He managed to take care of alot of things in one visit including switching me to non addictive medications for anxiety & panic attacks. Well not looking to abuse anyways so works out perfectly. So far so good on new meds its like he knew already what would help me. For such a short staffed office they sure are busy... And the receptionist works her butt off

I've been with Dr. Hazany for years. He's a kind and professional doctor. He cares about getting people better health, physical and mental. He also referred me to two other fantastic specialists.

Dr. Hazany has been a real life saver. I was hesitant to go to a psychiatrist, but i'm so thankful that I did. He is so compassionate and truly works with you to find the medication that works best for you. He explains everything in a very thoughtful and thorough way so that you are left with a sense of the biological and genetic reasons behind your symptoms. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Dr. Hazany!

He has been the best help, a life saver, than any other Doctor I have ever seen. He listens and asks the right questions. Most of all he cares and I trust him. The trust thing is very hard for me. I cannot remember a Doctor or other professional I can say I truly trust, that's just me. But when I get life changing results like I have from his help, I can really say trust and mean it. Please understand that I am just not comfortable giving any more detail on my condition and treatment.
