Dr. Eacharangad Ipye Jacob

I live out of town, but help care for my mom who lives in PC. I'm on her account, have taken her in for an appointment, and have HIPPA form. Dr. Jacob wont talk on the phone about mom's challenges and test results. Ridiculous in today's world.

Dr. Jacob is an outstanding doctor! He is very thorough and takes the time needed to make a complete diagnosis, unlike many doctors these days. He has a wonderful personality and makes his patients comfortable during an exam. His many years of experience is what gives his patients confidence in his final diagnosis. His office staff are also very polite and helpful while doing a great job of supporting the doctor.

I used to work with Dr. Jacob when he did rounds on patients in the ICU. I always thought he was very thorough in his assessments. When I became a patient 20 years ago, he was very kind and thorough, and was able to sit with me in his office and explain what happened to me. He encouraged me, and I still think back on that visit, smile, and thank God for that!

My visit was very good. Dr Jacob was helpful and knowledgeable. He was also most respectful and listened very well to what I had to say. I appreciated his advice and highly recommend him.

Dr. Jacob is amazing. Through clinical knowledge alone he was able to diagnose my problem which was confirmed with an MRI. I found him very easy to talk to and had his full attention, which is very rare these days. Not only was Dr. Jacob able to help me, but in the past he also helped two of my siblings based on his expertise as a specialist. He is very honest and to the point. I highly recommend Dr. Jacob. He is a brilliant man.

Very unknowable, unprofessional, unpleasant, very belittling and very disrespectful if you try to tell him that what he is recommending has already been tried and you are not able to take medication he recommends. Will not allow you to tell him what you have experienced or what other doctors that are very knowledgeable about your condition has told you and surgeries they have performed on you he degrades the other doctors even when he is not a specialist of your condition but the other doctors were specialists of your condition. Waste of time going to this man, I do not feel comfortable addressing him as a doctor as he is at most a snake oil salesman

I was referred to Dr. Jacob for a brain MRI and some other testing in regards to some memory issues I was having. The findings showed no physical abnormalities and so to explain the issue I was experiencing, Dr. Jacob goes into a 30 minute incoherent rant about how my life is in shambles, I am second guessing every decision I am making, I am not meditating enough, I am not happy with any aspect of my personal life, etc. and that these things are subconsciously creating the issues I am experiencing with memory loss. The doctor knows nothing about my personal life as I am happily married with a wife and 2 baby girls and have a very successful and rewarding career as a manufacturing operations director. He then went on another rant about how atoms and subatomic particles behave as neither waves nor particles and that our brain uses these atoms to communicate with the universe. He stated that our brains control all waves of light (gamma, microwave, UV, visible, etc) as well as magnetism.

If I could I would give negative stars. Dr. Jacob should have his medical license revoked. He refused to listen to anything that I had to say. I have never felt so small and meaningless. His bedside manner is very cold and unwelcoming. I wouldn't recommend his "practice" to anyone ever. Go see someone who has compassion for people, someone willing to find out what's wrong, someone who's not just about a paycheck.

Most thorough exam I received related to my conditions. Full report out of possible reasons for conditions. MRIs scheduled efficiently w insurance consideration. Feel well taken care of. Office/support staff just as connected to reason 4 visits.

Finally a doctor who does not rush you out the door . He was so kind and compassionate to my mother who suffers from Alzheimers . Some doctors seem to just dismiss those in her condition. He absolutely did not and gave her such good care.

Thankful I found a great caring Neurolgist.

Went to dr. Jacob for a NCV / EMG test the staff was very professional and make sure it was a easy process.

Been treating with Dr, Jacob for over 20 years. I feel I got top notch health care . If I call the office and want to be seen and I feel it is urgent, they always tell me to come right in. He always has time to answer all my questions in a way that I can understand.

Dr. Jacob is very thorow and will find out the cause of your problems. Short office wait and friendly staff.

Dr. Jacob was rude and uncaring to me. He basically refused to provide me with treatment. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I had heard positive comments from friends with complicated neurological problems and the comments from out of town doctors who treated these friends for other problems. The out of town doctors (UAB and Mayo Clinic) mentioned to the friends that Dr. Jacob was a very thorough doctor and good at dealing with complicated brain disorders. When my husband had a severe stroke, I chose to use Dr. Jacob for his neurological care and found him a careful, patient and unhurried doctor.
