Have been followed by Dr Shivapour for my MS for about 20 years after my previous physician changed sub-specialties. I absolutely would refer anyone to him. He is very knowledgeable about MS and offers up all the options. He has a very gentle bedside manner and takes time to get to know you and you family. The teaching hospital he is affiliated with has very tight scheduling but when he finally gets his time with you he will spend as much as necessary. Extremely wonderful physician!

This Doctor is NOT ethical, I got pregnant and Doctor E. Shivapour told me " because your pregnancy I will not help you, left me with out medicine I needed. Refused to provide medical care. The University of Iowa didn't care.
I had an appt with him in May 2016 after waiting 5 months for an appt which I understand how busy they are. It was because I had an abnormal change in my brain MRIs. His diagnosis was to lose weight. How helpful was that? Not sure what one had to do with the other. Worst experience ever. This is my first bad experience with anyone at the Univ of Iowa Clinics and hopefully my last bad experience.

He walked into the room and with no physical exam or discussion verbally attacked me. I wasn't given a chance to respond before he said he wouldn't see me and pranced out of the room.
I loved how he know me. Thanks for your help shivapour I miss you happy retirement
Dr. Shivapour did not really listen to my problems. He was very opinionated and I left feeling defeated and without hope.
