The very best neurosurgeon around! He saved me from a wheelchair after I broke my neck. His bedside manner is beyond anything I’ve ever seen and this man is the master behind how a doctor should treat his patients! I can’t give him enough stars!! He’s no longer doing surgery but he still sees patients!!

Dr Field and his team of Neurosurgeons are by far THE BEST in the state. After going to U of M, Cleveland Clinic, Beaumont, Michigan Head and Spine.... I wish I had gone to Dr Field from the beginning. He and his associates as well as ALL the staff treat you with respect, dignity, and THEY LISTEN to you without rolling their eyes at you or yelling at you like you're lying about your issues, like a neuro ophthalmologist at UofM. Excellent Doctor !!!

I hate sounding like everyone else....but facts are facts. In 1977, he also saved my life. After a sledding accident, when I landed on ice hard, had a seizure, and was taken to ER. They said no concussion. Got sicker, unbearable HA’s, lost weight, saw 3 docs who told me it was “nerves.” Told about Dr. Field who knew I had prob. had a subdural, sent me right over to St. Mary’s for a brain scan, and I was promptly admitted, in surgery next day. I was 29, scared, and asked if i could take a pill to dissolve the clot! And what would happen if I didn’t have surgery. Dr. Field, gently: I’d be dead in 2 weeks. Ah, my nervousness was gone. I am so grateful for this doctor and his increduble skill.

My hero dr. And that of many!! Sad thing is...people like him are a thing of the past!

Wow, I don't think I can begin to express my appreciation and feelings for Dr. Fields and his Staff for saving my life. I was in college and just finished for the day and was going to my car when I passed out. I was taken to ER only for them to be at a loss as to what was wrong. Finally after 5 hours they did a Spinal Tap only to find out I was hemeraging from the brain. I was flown to St. Mary's in Saginaw, Mi where I was put in the precious hands of Dr. Malcolm Fields. Whether your needing an expert opinion or surgery you will be in the best hands and top notch care with this Team behind you. Thank You so much Dr. Fields for your compassion, concern and expertise in saving my life. Dr Field saved my life in 1990. Compressed brain stem. He is an awesome human being.

Saved my life in 2014 due to a Chiari Malformation. Due to see him again due to symptoms. He may be 88, but I’ll go to him until I can’t. Then I’ll transfer to his partner (s).

In 1977, I broke my arm at age 9 and torn everything inside. Dr. Field was able to rebuild including all muscles, tendons, legiments and nerves and to make my arm grow and function as a normal arm. If not for Dr.Field doing such a great job at rebuilding my whole arm, I would not have my arm today. To this day I am so greatful for such a wonderful and talented surgeon. That was 40 years ago. Dr. Field saved my life May 2014. I fell & was rushed by ambulance to St. Mary's trauma center with a TBI. He is a wonderful doctor & man. Thank you, Dr. Field. I'm from Arkansas and he had fun with my hillbilly status, and Bill Clinton! Barbara Maxwell

I HAVE HAD 2 SURGERY'S FROM DR. MALCOM FIELD, I TRUST THIS MAN WITH MY LIFE, HE IS A KIND, LOVING, CARING DOCTOR, PLUS, HE IS TOPS IN HIS FIELD. THE HOSPITAL AND STAFF ARE FRIENDLY, AND KIND AND COURTEOUS. HOSPITAL VERY CLEAN. BACK TO DR. FIELD, I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYONE, HE IS ONE OF THE BEST IN HIS FIELD. JOAN NOWAK
