Dr. Dwayne E Jones

Since 2013 I have trusted Dr. Dwayne Jones as my pain management professional for my service-connected lower back pain. He has been excellent at communicating with me and developing my treatment plan. The results I have seen from his treatment have been outstanding. I liked his efficiency in time management and dedication to treatment. His demeaner led me to relax during the procedure instilling confidence in in his capabilities. He advocated on my behalf through Veterans Affairs (VA) to approve a procedure which allowed me to receive the most optimal pain management plan available. These procedures have allowed me to maintain my standard of living. With out his treatment my condition would have impacted my job which requires oversea travel, ability to enjoy social events such as sporting events, and outdoor activities with my family. Dr. Jones has been able to manage my pain, allowing me to improve my mobility, flexibility, and activity level. I would recommend and continue to see Dr. Jones, and his team, for any future pain management.

At Kelly Smith, I agree! He basically called me an opiate addict! As for whoever replied to your post, "Kelly, we are sorry that you felt the way you did during your appointment. Dr. Jones treats his patients with compassion as his goal is to find the root cause of pain.", they get paid to do this...that's all I'm saying about that person. My own experience was so negative I'm still crying about it 10 HOURS LATER! I do NOT recommend Dr. Jones, not even to my worst enemy!!! I was seen by Dr. Dwayne Jones on 5-4-2022. Never have I ever been treated so badly by Dr. Jones! He called me a liar. That I was seeking drugs. He told me he was going to call my surgeon and tell him I was uncooperative. He while I was crying was laughing. He was extremely verbally abusive! I left in way more pain than I was when I got there. The staff could hear what was happening. They were very kind and helped me with a wheelchair so I could leave. So it took over three months to get thru to scheduling, and then had to jump through many hoops, to still be denied service because I have no recent MRI or X-ray reports, which could have easily been conducted, unless I am an inexpensive case? These are sad times when your own ethnic has no compassion for your well being. Nevertheless, faith is my guidance and when people treat others in a subtle way, karma should never be a surprise. I started seeing Dr. Jones in September of 2020 for pain in my SI Joint. After two steroid injections Dr. Jones recommend an SI joint fusion. The fusion surgery went perfect and I am currently experiencing NO pain. Throughout my experience with Dr. Jones I received the highest level of professional care. Dr. Jones went to great lengths to explain the origin of my pain and what procedures would best correct my problem. During my surgical recovery Dr. Jones came to me to give an update and check on my overall recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Jones without reservation.

I'd like to include the Dr Jones scheduling staff. Really helpful with insurance company getting approval in short order. They are great. The 2 centers where I received my treatment and surgery were the people you can only hope will be taking care of you. They simply said are the best. I'm walking without pain for the 1st time in 2yrs thanks to all these people and Dr Jones skill and decisions. For me Dr Jones understood my pain and knew my best options for a successful treatment for my situation. I can't express how thankful I am to have been referred to him and his team.

Dr. Jones has been a life saver to me. He has always treated me in the most professional manner going out of his way and above and beyond the normal. I have had a ongoing problem with lower back. After a couple of Steroid injections he recommended we install a neuro stimulator. After 5 years the battery needed replaced which was done at Lees Summit Hospital. After the change I contacted a Staff infection and the Stimulator had to be removed. After the healing of the removal he had an MRI taken showing compression of the ligament causing stenosis. He recommended a MILD procedure. For the first time in several years My back, legs and feet are pain free and I can do anything I desire to do. Thanks to Dr. Jones and the staff at Harrison County Community Hospital. I would recommend either or both to anyone. I could go on and on about the outstanding care by Dr. jones and the staff at HCCH.

Always gives me plenty of time and answers all questions so I can understand

I was referred to him after getting my MRI's. From the very start I could see he had an attitude that he was wasting his time with me. He was actually a colossal waste of my time. He didn't explain my MRIs except to say the my back had gotten worse and when I told him how much pain I was in and would like the shots he had given me previously he berated me for seeing a chiropractor to help my pain several times and refused to give me the shots, his reasoning being I had pain in too many places and the shots wouldn't do any good. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend him to any one.

I was referred to Dr. Jones for a consultation for injection in my neck for shoulder pain. From the minute I stepped into the office I was treated with respect and outstanding patient care. When I met with Dr. Jones he spend an exceptional amount of time going over my MRI and report. He was very helpful in a decision I made to continue on with a second opinion regarding a Reverse Shoulder Procedure. I was very happy with his recommendation for the second opinion and will proceed as necessary. Thank You Dr. Jones, I'm sure I'll be back with other pain management in the future.

I found Dr. Jones to be very professional, courteous, thorough and concerned about me and my condition. He offered helpful advice and information to me regarding my medical concerns. I would refer him to anyone as an excellent doctor to go to.

I waited for 2 hours at the NKCH pain clinic. My appointment was at 10AM; at noon I went out to the nurses' station to inquire about my doctor. They said he was going to another procedure and they were unsure when he would be out. Dr Jones passed by the desk at this time (within a couple feet of me) and completely ignored me. I've never seen a more arrogant, entitled and rude physician that would ignore his patient that has been waiting 2 hours. Rest of the staff was phenomenal.

Extremely rude and argumentative..could not get a word in for an hour..worst i have ever seen.i am literally taken back..doctors should listen and he wanted no part of that..omg

I saw Dr. Jones for a steroid injection to my hip for pain. He discussed several options for pain management that may help me. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain the other options that might help me that I had not considered before. In fact, he discussed options that I was not aware of. In the end, I decided to not have the steroid injection but instead a nerve block to see if I would be a candidate for a radiofrequency nerve ablation. Thanks Dr. Jones!

Doctor was 2 hours late. I'm a disabled senior and have been under Doctors care for 8 years. Never met a more rude and unconcerned Dr. Never introduced himself or apologized for being over two hours late. Very unprofessional and intimidating. Unnecessary lab work, when it was obvious he didn't me as a patient. I wouldn't recommend him as being a trusted physician to anyone.

I have referred Dr. Jones to three persons! Dr. Jones listens, assesses symptoms and suggests a plan of treatment for patient to consider and make an informed decision. This "doctor" and I use the term loosely is the worst person you could ever have to work on you let alone just visit with you. I believe Dr. Mengele or Dr. Kevorkian would have been better to see and these two doctors murdered millions. This man comes in with an attitude, doesn't listen to you, and presumes to know everything about you without looking at your chart or even listening to you. He elevates himself (and he is the only one who would do such a thing) to god status. Pt. BEWARE!

I would NEVER see Dr. Jones again, nor would I dare refer anyone to him. Worst bedside manner EVER! I went somewhere else and got what I needed and I'm now almost pain-free!

Dr. Jones and his staff are great. They make you feel at home and actually care about you. He explains all your options to you. If you have a procedure done the staff and Dr. Jones make you feel less nervous, like your part of the family. Thank you for everything.

Listens well, very personable. Great results. Would recommend to family and friends. Expensive process, and insurance will give you grief, but worth fighting through. Dr. Jones spoke with their 'physician' and explained to their satisfaction. Clinic staff were excellent to work with. Billing clerk, not so much.

Dr. Jones is an excellent doctor! I was referred to Dr. Jones by family members. Being under Dr. Jones care, I can now take part in working out and doing daily activities. I would highly recommend Dr. Jones to friends and colleagues.

Dr Jones is only there to do what he thinks needs to be done due to test results. He became negative when I tried to explain my concerns about the procedure that was to be performed. Even though he recommended I see a surgeon, he still decided to do the procedure. Once the procedure was done, I was told to only contact them if I has any problem. I was given shots in my lumbar area that we're supposed to be the first of there. Very unprofessional!

Excellent communications and very helpful for the Sciatica I had been suffering for many years!!

Very knowledgeable and willing to help.

Dr. Jones explained the MRI and performed an epidural. The procedure went well and since then I have been pain free. Dr. Jones told me to follow-up as needed and I will definitely see him again for pain management. He is a very nice man and easy to talk to and communicates well with patients.

I liked dr. Jones, he's kind, knows what he's doing, I've have so many epidurals on my neck in the past and only one had worked. Now with dr. Jones they seem to be helping. He also does not over prescribe meds.like others I've been to in the past. He's a little hyper but I have respect and trust in Dr jones. Catherine matthews, Kansas city
