Dr. Durga Prasad Maganti

By far one of the worst experiences I've had with a Doctor and staff, I went to this office because I needed help with some symptoms I was having. The doctor did not order all of the testing that was needed for me to be diagnosed with the symptoms and the problems I told him I was enduring. When I received my test results back I asked for further treatment with a specialist because I was still having the same symptoms and his answer and I quote "I can't send you to a specialist because they will make fun of me" for not having any prove that I was having any symptoms. Which I had already shown him video and photos of the symptoms and things that we're happening to me. So I went to the Health Department and got the test that I actually needed and got my actual real accurate results. By then I tried to make an appointment with the doctor to get the medication I needed to be treated and no one in his office responded or called back so I could get an appointment. Now it has been more then a week and I of course changed my Dr. Because I have never been in a office so unprofessional and disrespectful environment ever. A doctor is supposed to listen to patients needs and try and help us feel and be our best. And this experience has left me in a horrible mindset and bad place mentally and physically. Hopefully they read this and try to treat better the next patient that walks thru there door. I hate to have to post a negative comment because I live. Dr. Magandi , but his present office staff by far has been the worst I have ever came across and I been a patient at this office for 5 yrs I really do not want to switch primary's because of the incompetent office staff but my health comes first, as I told the front desk receptionist sometimes not all jobs were meant for all people. Dr. Maganti is a fine doctor, overall. His staff out front are another matter entirely and ruin any kind of good practice. They will mess up appointments, prescriptions and people in the wait room - making you wait hours for your appointment. They are rude on the phone and in person. They have a super high turnover rate, mostly due to one woman there who has absolutely no business working with the public in any capacity. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Maganti for years now. He is an amazing doctor , and super professional. He takes his time to discuss our lab work, & gives us great advice and always does it with a smile. His staff is amazing in particular Mrs. Liz (office manager), she is always willing to help us in whatever we need. Love her and love Dr. Maganti. Thank you always for taking care of us! He does not listen, and at times seems rushed or uninterested. His nurse practitioner is more caring and thoughtful. Every time I had to remind him of my name things of concern. I am a very patient person, but the Doctor really needs to do better.

I cannot tell you how good or bad this doctor is because I haven't seen him yet. I have been trying to get someone in his office to verify my insurance and no one calls me back. I had a tentative appt for Tuesday and I am upset that his staff hasn't returned my calls, verified my insurance, or confirmed the appt. They seem to be confused of their responsibilities and how to communicate. Hopefully he gets a better staff to assist him as based off of his previous reviews.
