If you are on dialysis, his office has nothing to do with you and are very bothered if you call there. You must contact your dialysis center where there are only nurses. These nurses appear to be VERY busy doing dialysis so I'm not sure who would have any time to coordinate communications or triage calls. Making an appointment to see Dr. Heiple takes weeks to just schedule and this will need to be while you are getting your treatment in the dialysis room. It appears the dialysis center is being used as both a treatment center and office but there are no added personnel to do these added office tasks. It is very hard to get evaluated by a MD, PA or NP. The nurses there are great but of course are limited to their scope of practice. If you are very ill, you must have a PCP who is keen on your medical conditions and have efficient office processes so that you receive the monitoring and care that you need. Then who knows how many patients Dr. Heiple sees in multiple locations.

The office staff can be dysfunctional and their turnabout for appointments and lab results is weak at best. Not much in the way of bedside manner from the doctor who seems to be distant at best.
