Dr. Douglas Phillips Webb

This Dr refuses to explain things properly. You want to be able to trust your Dr, but a patient facing surgery needs answers to their questions. I received very little information from him about lens choices for cataract surgery, and am now left with vision that is worse than what I had before the cataract formed. He gave me a lens with no correction in it, or the wrong lens, and all he has to say about this is, "These things happen." What!!?? This is my eye, my vision!!! And he also says there is no way to fix it!!! I am devastated. When I tried to discuss all this with him I was shown no compassion. I would be a fool to let him do my other eye in need of the same surgery. What a poor choice I made. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I chose him.

I went to Dr Webb for cataracts with the assumption he could do surgery if necessary. Well, he found it necessary but when I called to make appointments to get the process started they tell me he has no place to do the surgery. Let's schedule your follow up a couple months out and see if things are available after that. This was just this past May 2021, so not in the the covid closings. If you can't perform the service for which I am coming to you, then you shouldn't bill me for the consultation. As it is, they billed me in full for the service even those they couldn't schedule surgery. I found another surgeon and started the process all over again, paid again. I was able to have my surgeries before Dr. Webb was even able to have the first conversation about the surgery. That's just not right.

Just the best doctor in town. He takes time for questions and his office is run very smoothly. He has a great supporting cast. But I am most impressed with his knowledge and dedication. He has revamped everything for the pandemic and still finds a way to deliver the best eye care in the Cleveland area.

Dr Webb spent a long time with me explaining my situation. He was caring and trying to relax me and put me at ease!

Appointments have been cancelled multiple times, forcing them to be rescheduled months later. Incredibly unprofessional. He showed up an hour and ten minutes late to the first appointment of the day. He is habitually late and lacks consideration for patients.

Dr. Webb knows his job and takes time to explain things with his patients - unlike my past experiences with "chain store" eye doctors.

Dr Webb is awesome! He checks my eyes and he does a great job. I have double vision and need corrective prism lenses and he gets me a good prescription. He is a great Dr. He is so great - sometimes you need to book months ahead of time for a routine appt. It's cause he's awesome!
