Douglas Pollard

Stopped by his office with a concern I had asking him to give me a call at his convenience, have yet to hear from him, my impressions of him are that he couldn’t care less. I did hear from the office head who apologized but still nothing from him.

Pollard misdiagnosed me with atrial fibrillation and placed me on a dangerous blood thinner. Thankfully I got a correct diagnosis at mass general.

Im a type 1 diabetic "Dr" Pollard will only perscribe me the bare minimum amount of insulin he can get away with. this, after three years of beleiving i could trust him, has led to complications i may not be able to reverse. he dismissed my concerns on my most recent visit and sent me away with no change to my dosage or releif for my symptoms. instead he focused on my employment status. I Immediately checked into the ER afterward with a blood sugar of just under 600. I am curently in the process of finding one. He has always been dismissive of my concerns, changes the subject when you try to press your concerns, is generally aloof and has always been ten to thirty minutes late to our oppointments. I wish i had more experience dealing with doctors, i would have realized sooner that i needed to be rid of him. if you value your life, stay away from Pollard. Id have rated him Zero Stars, but the site wont let me.

I went to Dr. Pollard for my annual physical, he did not perform any physical tests. He did not listen to my heart or lungs, did not look into my eyes, ears or throat, did not examine my prostate, did not check reflexes or check blood circulation. He and his assistant only asked simple Medicare prescribed questions and made tiny notes. At least his assistant went over my list of medications, Dr. Pollard did not even realize I take Lipitor even though the info was right on his computer screen. It was a total waste of time and money.

Dr Pollard should retire. He has no interest in patient care, he does not “listen” and jumps to a conclusion. Once he reaches his conclusion, he is right and you are wrong. Actually it is the other way around. Was told I did not have lupus without a blood test. Looking for a new doctor!

Misdiagnosed my symptoms b/c he didn't thoroughly examine me. He's more worried about catching something from you than he is FINDING your health issues and addressing them! He could care LESS about your health and well-being; He's just there to collect his paycheck. His "medical" staff are incompetent. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Is a very dismissive physician. Does not listen to patients complaints. Was rushed to the hospital having to have gallbladder out. The gallbladder was full of pus before the surgeon could remove it. Dr Pollard ran tests and found gallstones but never did anything about it.

Went for a second opinion and never addressed my issue. Wanted a referral to a specialist and he and his staff wouldn’t not give one. I went to this office only once and 8 months later discovered they added me as a patient for my primary care which I NEVER APPROVED! Must be desperate for patients since it appears most people leave here very dissatisfied!

Left practice. Never examined me in 3 visits (2 were scheduled “annual physicals”). Didn’t look at me, didn’t ask questions, didn’t give test results unless I asked. Could not trust his care. Terrific office staff, had gone to this group 4 years and was very pleased with care until Pollard joined.

Fabulous doctor ! Highly educated -extremely thorough-very ratio-cinative-answers all my questions-very personable with sardonic sense of humor-very easy to understand -makes things simple for me to understand- doesn’t mind me asking repeat questions because he probably knows that this is not my field of expertise- has great support staff -receptionist, bookepper,appointment secretary, nurse/ injection specialist and smart assistant Alex . Apologize,bad a rememberiing names. Text book run office

Recently had an appointment at Webhannet Internal Medicine in York, Me. He is the most dismissive and unhelpful Dr I've ever experienced in my life. He did not listen to what I was saying. Asked such a random list of questions and nothing to do with what the visit was for. Truly the #1 worst Dr. I've ever had in my life. He didn't even call me with some test results either. I had to read it myself in the hospital portal. Why he even is a Dr is beyond me. Completely unacceptable.

He did not identify the illness or listen to the urgency of my distress, even though this was an emergency visit. He merely ruled out an illness. Sent me home in pain. I found him arrogant and dismissive. I was told to come 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.
