Dr. Dottie L Watson

It took me 18 years to write this review. I was young and naive, pregnant with my first child. I trusted this doctor to bring my baby into this world alive and well. Instead she let her die at 38+ weeks. She pushed off induction even though she was IUGR. Then she tried to blame me for my baby dying. My daughter’s autopsy even states that I refused induction according to her. I was never even asked! She also claimed I missed several appointments, which was a blatant lie. I had to reschedule 1 and it was well before she was born. I lived with guilt for years thinking I somehow caused her death or should have pushed for an earlier induction. Now 18 years later, I survived. I became a nurse, brought 3 more babies into this world alive with doctors that listened and watched me well. These reviews clearly show how negligent she is. We are thankful for Dr. Watson! She watched my pregnancy closely and took the time to explain everything to us. The decision was made for me to deliver early and we believe this was the best decision for our baby. Thanks to Dr. Watson our baby is doing well despite issues I had during my pregnancy. She may scare people but she truly knows what she is doing and we are thankful for her!!!

Unfortunately, my comment echo's what has already been written. At my 20-week ultrasound Dr. Watson informed us that she was seeing markers on the baby that were signs of a possible chromosomal issue. Her bedside manner is very poor. She delivered the news in a way that we felt we were being talked down to and at times left us confused. She also indicated we would get calls on the test results, and for each test I had to call myself (after waiting some time past when she said we would hear).

HORRIFIC. Misdiagnosed me w/ subchorionic hematoma & said I had high chance of m/c or preterm birth, but didn't explain anything & was very unclear. At one point, we thought I had a deadly tumor because she was talking about random worst case scenarios that had nothing to do with me. After the worst week of our lives, the other Dr at the practice rediagnosed me with something completely innocuous. I was traumatized for the rest of my pregnancy. I now have a healthy baby who was born at term.

At 16 weeks she told me my child would be too large for a natural child birth. At follow up u/s she informed me his kidneys weren't developing normally and he would require emergency surgery right after birth. I refused subsequent u/s and had a full term, 7lb 14oz son naturally with no kidney issues. She's horrible. The practice is horrible and will never see either of their practitioners again. I was panic stricken and terrified for almost my entire pregnancy for no reason.

Incompetent, insensitive monster. She needs to retire. Told me to terminate my pregnancy because I was going to have a mutant who wouldn't survive long outside the womb. Who tells someone this at 23 weeks? I was inconsolable and sobbing for a week. She made it sound like termination was my only option-I went against her advice and chose to have my baby and guess what? My baby is healthy and happy and developmentally normal. Dottie Watson is terrible. Avoid her at all costs.

She is a very rude and aggressive person. Told me repeatedly that I'm fat and she can't see things well on ultrasound. This last appointment she told me my baby was going to die because I'm not checking my blood sugar 4 times a day. She has the worst approach ever and does nothing to help just make matters worse. I refuse to see her again.

Worst bedside manner, no compassion, does not explain anything, and condescending. Worst experience I've ever had with a Dr.

I have had numerous pregnancy losses and Dr. Watson seems to not care one bit as she engages with mee during this one. She has no bedside manner, and doesn't explain ANYTHING she is doing during an exam. When you ask questions every answer is snarky and condescending. I was very disappointed. She must be skilled or I don't know why the practice would keep her.

Dr. Watson is alarmist, over-reactive, and insensitive. She did nothing but cause anxiety and fear, without an ounce of bedside manner to ease the blow. Her approach to medicine is outdated and inappropriate. She jumps to the worst case scenarios and associated interventions, causing a series of reactive and over-the top measures to be taken. Her patient consult (Penny) is one of the rudest, most condescending people I've ever met. Neither should have any business practicing medicine.
