Doreen M Ciancaglini

Dr. Doreen is a kind person but her office is a joke. She has medical students, physician assistant students, and nursing students run her office to save on labor (they actually pay her to be there!). You are lucky if she comes in at the end of the appointment to say hi... She literally doesn't employ a single nurse, PA, etc. so its spotty depending on how experienced the student is at the time. I am all for educating medical people, but this women is taking advantage her patients and the system. I can't justify putting my two daughters care in the hands of brand new students, sorry. Dr. Doreen is amazing! As a new mom I have a lot of questions (some probably seem silly, especially to an experienced pediatrician) and she always takes the time to answer them and never makes you feel silly for asking.

Love Dr. Doreen!! She’s an amazing pediatrician. Always available when you need her. She has been absolutely wonderful to me and my two little boys. We’ve been going here for over 2 years and I don’t have anything negative to say about her or her practice. She truly is a wonderful Dr genuinely cares about her patients. Both my boys are special needs and she has truly helped us out so much. Making sure they’re getting all the help they need and all the therapy. (There’s a lot. ABA, social groups, feeding groups, speech, OT, PT) Cannot thank her enough. She’s wonderful????. I have recommend her to family and friends and will continue to do so. And her staff is just as awesome. Kind caring and knowledgeable. Pleasant atmosphere when you walk in. Warm sunny good vibes. Love Dr. Doreen!! She’s an amazing pediatrician. She’s kind, but there are ALWAYS med students there. It’s frustrating sometimes. Also, she is “hyper focused” on preaching about abstinence and sexuality. Unnerving to my child and me.

My 29 year old was a patient of Dr. D and my 17 year old also... I absolutely love Dr. D always available when you need her. My boys always felt comfortable with Dr D.

Love Dr. Ciancaglini and the staff she has at North Providence Pediatrics. My daughter has been coming here since she was born and we have had nothing but the best treatment. Dr. Ciancaglini was there when my daughter was very sick, personally made time for us and made sure that my daughter was taken care of. I don't know to many doctors who does that now a days. The focus is on running a business not the care of your child. When you first walk in it may appear bright , clean, and friendly... After going here for many years ... It's all a delusion! They all look stressed out with plastic smiles. There are so many print out of there expectations on the glass window take heed this is a hidden message of issues they had in the past. When you first walk in there mail is left out for all public to see so if you need to look up a child's address or find out a child's name it's right there for all to see. I mentioned this to them but hey who the hell am I . I will notify Department of Health. Let's not forget to mention all the convenient policy not mentioned to you . You will have issues with this office. They cover up there mistake and will lie about forgetting or frankly not doing there job. My biggest complaint is Doreen ! She will only do her job as a doctor once you flat out remind her that her job is to be a doctor. Especially during sick visits , your child is briefly attended, she may even have a student do her job, you are treated like a case and not a concerned parent! Her practice has gone down hill. She once was kind, friendly and you can see her compassion with you and the most important matter the Baby/ child. But now she is very plastic, eager to move on to the next case, and her appearance is a turn off. Dusty, thin and frail. Just like the secretary. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Calls back after hours if an emergency. Not preachy like some doctors. Associate with hasbro and very convient.

After receiving my child's vaccine my child was awfully sick. Being a new parent I really expected a phone call back when symptoms started to occur. Disappointed and frustrated I ended up on the emergency room. My baby did have an allergic reaction explains the ER doctor and. Unfortunately I had to return back to this pediatrician office for follow up. Treated like I was trouble and a personal problem due to second opinion I found my visit unpleasant . My baby and I will go else where!!!

We were dropped with no notice after being told our billing was too difficult because they had to deal with two different insurance companies. After we thought we worked it out with the office, we were told the person we spoke to had no authority to work out anything, and oh, that sick child you are bringing over? Take her to the emergency room, the dr will not see her. Also she will never return a phone call personally. Never.
