Dr. Donna D Yi

I had to get an evaluation for TPAPN with Dr. Yi, and it was the most horrible, unprofessional experience I have ever had with any healthcare provider. I felt so uncomfortable, so judged. It felt like an interrogation, and the information in her report had so many inaccuracies. She hears what she wants to hear and then turns something that has never been a problem into a "severe" DSM diagnosis. She illustrates your physical uncomfortableness as if you are not being truthful. No, sorry, I was uncomfortable because you triggered my anxiety and PTSD. I would never recommend her.

Please do NOT go to this doctor. For $2000 for an assessment, you can find someone else even if you are in TPAPN. She completely mixes up all the facts of your life and it will be a permanent record of your history. With a PHD and 33 years experience, there is no excuse for not getting the facts of your life correct or for giving you an incorrect diagnosis (should have been mild to moderate opioid use disorder instead of severe opioid addiction per the treatment facility).

This doctor does not listen, she writes whatever she wants in her notes even if the information is inaccurate. She does not pay attention to what you are saying, it's like she's thinking about something else as you talk, then only writes down bits and pieces of the conversation, and later writes her clinic notes which are completely inaccurate. She then will not amend or change her notes even when she realizes she has written the wrong thing, or written someone else's information in your report.

This is the worst doctor ever.She does not listen to you. She acts like she is listening but seems to be thinking about something else, she makes sporadic notes then later tries to remember what was said to make her clinic notes, which are very inaccurate and contained information from another patient, or information we never spoke about. She will not change or amend her clinic notes even when they included another patients name and information. She needs to see a psychiatrist herself!!

I was, for the first time, completely honest about my drug addiction when I met with Dr. Y upon admission at the M.Clinic. What I didn't realize was that she was writing down the INTIMATE details of what I was sharing with her. I ended up going through a divorce and custody battle and my records from her were subpoenaed. From them, my soon-to-be ex-husband learned with whom I had been having an affair and it was incredibly painful for him. I've come to learn exactly how unprofessional that is.

It took her 3 hrs to come to the SAME conclusion that I had stated to her during the first 5 secs of our conversation. Me: I have a problem. It started when... Her 3 hrs later: Well, you definitely have a problem and I think it started when... Wow, really? I don't even have an addiction. I was depressed. I didn't overdose myself to get high. I was trying to kill myself! She diagnosed me with moderate alcohol use. I only drink 1-2 drinks every 1-2 months...

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!!!!! No comparison, talks at you not to you. Has a negative and accusatory approach to dealing with patient. Would not recommend this Dr.
