My son was referred by his primary pediatrician. The staff in the Margate office location was decent and churchly which was comforting as I am a believer. But OMG, my whole experience was ruined as it has been two months since my son went in for testing (thank God the results were not life threatening) however his primary care physician has yet to receive the medical notes to place him back on his daily medication for his ADHD which was stopped, temporarily. Very professional. The office staff, Dr. Rhoden and the echo tech all were wonderful. Answered all our questions. Gave us a lot of time and attention.

I met Dr. Rhoden in the ER when my son was three weeks old. Hours later, he was helicoptered to Miami for surgery the next day. We’ve had the comfort and security of her and her staff’s care for over a decade. Her office is decorated in a very child friendly way, from toys to movies and magazines for any interest at any age. I love and trust her and her staff implicitly. They have gone above and beyond always making us feel like family while being thorough with results from his visit.

Dr. Rhoden was harsh, unprofessional, and extremely disrespectful. I went to see her at 20 weeks pregnant and she was cold as ice. When you are in the business of being a cardiologist, I would think that your job and personality should automatically be a bit sensitive. Well, Dr. Rhoden flipped through the slides and said "everything looks normal". And that was it. Ok great. I was excited and felt relieved. Well, fast forward to the day my baby was born. I gave birth at Boca Regional and on day 2, a night nurse (who was amazing) heard a heart murmur. She said they would call the cardiologist for the hospital in the am to come and do some tests. Well, the cardiologist that came and did tests on my baby was Dr. Rhoden who I had previously seen 17 weeks earlier and who told me everything was normal. Well, after running all of the tests, she came in my room and I said "oh my gosh, hi Dr. Rhoden, I saw you when I was pregnant and you said everything looked normal and was great and you didn't need to see me again". She responded and said "well, it's not normal, your daughter has tetralogy of fallot and will need open heart surgery in the first 3-6 months to correct this. There are four problems with your daughters heart, here's a paper that explains it, but no everything is not ok and she will need surgery." And then just like that Dr. Rhoden walked out and we switched cardiologists five minutes later. The amount of disrespect I felt from Dr. Rhoden who delivered such sensitive information was disgusting. I have never been treated like that. She has zero respect for people, their children, and the future outcome. When you are a pediatric cardiologist and speak to people that way was so disheartening. I can't believe how she spoke to me and approached me. So disappointed. And as an FYI, this is the first negative review I have written ever on anyone. We have seen Dr. Rhoden for six years with my teenager. She is the most personal, caring doctor. She is real. She is a mom and understands life with kids. She is never too busy for questions. My daughter is headed to college in the Fall. Dr Rhoden has provided the up most top notch care to her plus answered many questions about college and medical school. Her staff is so accommodating. This is a rare office in Boca. We have seen Dr. Rhoden for six years with my teenager. She is the most personal, caring doctor. She is real. She is a mom and understands life with kids. Dr. Rhoden has been my son's physician since he was born. I couldn't have asked for a better physician or person to care for my son during a very scary time in his /our lives. She was always there when we needed advice or reassurance. She cared for him like he was her own child and her staff always welcomed us and treated us like we were family. It was with great sadness and some resistance from my son that he would have to find a new doctor when we left South Florida (he refused to see anyone else). I have and forever will recommend Dr. Rhoden and her staff to all my friends and family and anyone that I meet that is looking for an amazing Pediatric Cardiologist. She is the Best! Dr. Rhoden is fine. The staff is pathetic... I have no clue how she keeps the women up front. Lost a patient that was recommended by DR.BURKE. (Miami Children's Hospital heart Surgeon) Rude & nasty. From day one always giving me false info about my appointment time. I have on idea why. Never calls to confirm so you can't even dispute. Dr. Rhoden is fine. The staff is pathetic...
