Great doctor. I suffered for 4 years with a rheumatologist that was clueless about treating Lupus patients. Finally was able to get in to see Dr. Thomas and now feel as though my treatment plan is on the right track. I found out the hard way that it is critically important to have the right rheumatologist if you have Lupus.

Dr T is a great rheumatologist and a really nice person. Am very thankful I was referred to him for my RA. He listens attentively and provides clear answers and information. It is clear in every interaction that he cares about you as a person and is working to help you be as healthy and as free from pain as possible.

Dr Donald E Thomas is very best their is, he has been treating me for lupus and arthritis for over twenty years now and i love him like a son, and i do so appreciate him and thank God for him. Dr. Thomas is thorough and efficient and got the answers I needed. His office has a friendly staff. I'd highly recommend.

Dr Donald Thomas is the most helpful, through, caring doctor that I know. When I go to him I know that I am going to get the best medical care possible.He is very patient with all my questions and I feel that he cares.

Dr. T has been a life savior for me!!! I've been seeing Dr Thomas for several years now. The office is super efficient, the drs are up on the latest information, and they do what they can to make it easiest on the patient. Wait times are negligible, Staff and drs are friendly and socialble. They're involved in the community and like to do fun things.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas since December 2008. I was in the hospital with severe muscle breakdown and he happened to be there for something else and looked at my case and came and talked to me and explained that he thought he knew what I had. He ordered a thigh biopsy for me and sent it away and low and behold, it came back with exactly what he thought. I have been a patient of his since that day and I see him every 3 months. Dr. T is extremely thorough with my care to include my medications and staying on top of my bloodwork and any other tests needed. When I see other Specialists for my condition, (Cardiology/Neurology/Pulmonology) they always talk great about him, and always mention how they need to make sure my appointment notes are sent to him asap, because if not he will reach out and ask. I love that he is so respected among my other specialists. This year, 2020, I introduced him to my son who is a college athlete and was dealing with some pain and I just wanted to rule out him having something similar to my own condition. Dr. T did a thorough evaluation and blood work for my son and spoke to both of us thru video appt with his results. I am so grateful for him, and I truly believe he has saved my life and kept my condition stable over the years. I trust him 100% with my life, he is absolutely wonderful. I searched long and hard for a Rheumatologist of Dr. Thomas's caliber. They are few and far between. When circumstances dictated my move, I used a compass to be sure that I was within 2 hours of Dr. Thomas. He is a kind, caring, and extremely thorough and knowledgeable physician, and has not an arrogant bone in his body, unlike other Doctors that I have seen. Those of us with chronic illnesses KNOW what a good doctor is, and this man is one of the best. I never feel rushed, even though we all know that Dr. Thomas is quite pressed for time some days. My numerous illnesses have been methodically controlled under his care, and I am enjoying a higher quality of life than I have had in years. Dr. Thomas as every one. Of his patients attest to is the best physician I (We) have ever had! I had a great experience during my visit with Dr Thomas. I did not have to wait long to see him and the staff was really nice. Followed COVID protocol, which I was pleased. I have been Dr Thomas patient for 15 years. He has helped me keep my RA under control. This office is efficient and caring. Even during the pandemic they continued to provide needed services. Dr. Thomas is an incredible doctor. I went through 2 other rheumatologists before finding him. He takes time listening to his patients. He explains everything very clearly and is up to date on the latest research. I’m so happy I found Dr. Thomas. He’s made a big difference in my treatment plan.

I had an appointment today with one of my favorite doctors today, Dr. Donald Thomas. This was a follow-up due to an x-ray I had to have because of the excruciating pain I was having with one of my hips. Well after Dr. Thomas reviewed the x-rays and listened to all the systems I was experiencing, he thoroughly explained the results and my care going forward. I have been going to Dr. Thomas for many years now, and I must say, this is the doctor you want to see if you need a Rheumatologist. They do not come any better than Dr. Thomas Dr. Thomas' bedside manners surpasses many doctors out there. He is caring, thoroughly listens to you, takes the time to explain everything to you, welcomes and answers all your questions. He is also extremely knowledgeable in his field. I am truly grateful that Dr. Thomas accepted me as his patient! He always answers all of my questions that I may have about my conditions. Not only does he give me resources to help me cope, he is very thorough in his work, discovering a condition that I had in under 30 minutes when other doctors could not diagnosis me when seeing them for 5 years. He takes the time to address all your medical concerns and educates you on each of your diagnosis. Dr. Thomas is one of the best Physician's I ever had. He cares, he listens, making sure you get the best care possible. Dr. Thomas bedside manners are excellent. He allows you to ask questions without rushing you and make sure you understand what he is saying to you. Dr. Thomas is an amazing Rheumatologist! He is in high demand so I am so thankful he was able to take me as a new patient about six months ago. He is thoughtful, kind, caring, very detailed & really takes time to listen to my concerns, ask questions then comes up with a game plan that will work best for me. The office staff is very professional also. Some of my appointments with Dr. Thomas have been thru telemedicine, but it doesn't matter if I we're doing a visit via video or if I go to the office, he always makes me feel as though I'm his #1 priority for the day. I was in tremendous excruciating widespread joint pain with fibromyalgia in both shoulders, low back, both hips, carple tunnel in both wrists & RA in the left one too when I first met Dr. Thomas. There were many days it would hurt so bad to sit, stand, lay down, get up, walk, brush my teeth, hold my toothbrush, open a door, get dressed, drive my car or do household chores. I'm thrilled to say that under his care I am pain free & just found out today that my RA is in remission! Talk about a praise report! Doctor Thomas is a lifesaver for my husband and I . He takes the time to listen and truly understand what we are going through and comes up with a plan to help us feel our best! He monitors all our medications and regularly does blood work to make sure everything is working together for our best health! We are blessed to have him as our rheumatologist!

Dr. Thomas has been caring for me for almost 20 yrs. He really cares about his patients and he shows it. He sent me the nicest hand written note when I lost my son in 2012, and again in 2017 when I lost my husband. It meant so much to me to know that he would actually take the time to let me know that he was thinking about me and my loss. Dr. Thomas has a great bedside manner and yes, I would follow him to Greenbelt if necessary.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas for about 10 years or so. He is one of my favorite Doctors I love how he take time with his patients doing appointments. He is a very compassionate Doctor who really care about his patients. I shared with him at one of my appointments I loss my Aunt that raise me, he was very sympathetic, within that week I received a beautiful card from him. I emotional. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions on my first visit. I've been to 3 different specialists and had 2 surgerys which we now think were unnecessary. I was a total wreck, barely able to walk even with a cane and just about every joint was in pain. You addressed the issue with my knee and with just one visit I could walk pain free. After 2 years of suffering with joint pain you tested everything possible to get to root of it. My husband was just as bad as I was. He has issues with both knees and you have made it possible for him to soon play softball again. My daughter is experiencing some of the same symptoms I have and you have already got her on the right track. We've talked about you so much and she's seen the change in me, she was elated you could take her as your patient. We appreciate how thorough you are by getting all of our medical records to give us the exact diagnosis and treatment. THANK YOU.

Dr. Thomas is an excellent doctor. He's caring, patient and very thorough. He has been my rheumatologist for over 10 yrs and I wouldn't change to another unless he left town -- lol --. I always felt that he insisted I come back for follow ups too often. I always felt that every time I had a pain or discomfort the answer was always to increase my prescription dosage. My most recent blood work he ordered resulted in nearly $2K in claims being submitted to my ins. co. I think it's a bit excessive. I quit smoking over 5 years ago now and his records still show me as an active smoker. I've asked to have that changed on several occasions but it never changed.
