he above review are correct, patient of Dr Murk's 4 yrs, yes he is easy to talk with, I feel comfortable, he does not rush but if he thinks you don't need a specialist you will not get a refer. For ex., came home from Fl, piece of glass in foot stated it was a callus, went to foot doc, it was glass, bef. my bi pass was diagnosed Carpal Tunnel, symptoms subsided but now swelling in hand, whole right arm is bad. Xray done stated no arthritis so can't treat, tried to go to a specialist, need a referral, I can't get one from him therefor, my carpal tunnel is worsening. Before this doctor had a specialist for Asthma, COPD, Bronchitis, Migraines, Carpal Tunnel, Gynecology, feels he can treat all of this. When I told him what meds i can take for headache, do to having Gastric, he ignored ordering the script so I have just suffered with the headaches, and inflammation. Been thinking of switching doctors

He is an amazing physician He is thorough and saved my husbands life seeing tests he questioned and referring him to specialists

Great doctor and cares about his patients

Horrible! Dr. Mruk is dismissive and has a huge God complex. He refuses to treat you if he thinks he knows what is going on without even seeing you. Someone else said he is "old school", unfortunately this is not a good thing in this case. After personally having doctors in New York city and then having to deal with someone of his ilk I'd rather drive to Gardner, Worcester or Boston just to not have to deal with Dr. Mruk. He should do everyone a favor and just retire. How people put up with his pompous attitude is beyond me.

Dr. Mruk, IMHO, is an old-school family Physician, with a goal of preventing medical issues, rather than treating them. I feel lucky that he became my "provider" when another doctor left the practice. He takes the time to explain things frankly and put them in context, with no BS. And he's friendly. He has inspired me to take action to improve my health.
