I would have given 0 stars if possible. Absolutely horrible! He refused to acknowledge my MRI which showed multiple injuries due to a crush injury. Very rude and unprofessional.

Great experience, super friendly staff, no waiting. I got right in and out each time. Dr Huene was excellent.

The only problem I had with my visit was that I waited 1 1/2 hours to see the doctor. Dr. Huene was great but he was only with me maybe 10 minutes. Perhaps patients can be notified at check-in if the doctor is running more than 30 minutes late.

Terrible. Made me feel super uncomfortable and dismissed my symptoms. Told me if it were him he would "just live with it". Then proceeded to say if I really wanted surgery he would do it because he gets paid either way. Comments like that made me immediately know this Dr. would never be performing surgery on me. Smart man Very prudent

left waiting 45 days after I was told I should get service in 1 week. Still no service. Looking for a new DR.

The worst experience I can recall ever having when seeing a doctor. After waiting 90 minutes to see Dr. Huene, I decided to leave when his staff told me I needed x-rays on my hand and the doctor would be with me shortly. I asked why I needed more x-rays when I had them only 4 days previously, no one knew why. When I finally saw the doctor he told me that I had to wait so long because I was a "walk in" and I had to wait until they could fit me in. This was not true, my primary physician made the referral and Dr. Huene's office called me twice to make my appointment, but Dr. Huene didn't believe me. Then he asked me if I was following my doctor's directions to take care of my hand, when I told him that she had given me no directions, only the referral to him, again he did not believe me. I felt like I was totally disrespected by this doctor who had some preconceived belief about me and treated me like I was to blame for the amount of time I had to wait. Perhaps he had me confused with another patient. I still don't know why I needed a new set of x-rays or if either set were ever looked at, no one discussed them with me. VERY frustrating experience. I have never had a doctor tell me I'm not experiencing pain, when in fact I am. I demonstrated the motion causing pain, and he ignored it. I'm confused about him going off of X-rays instead of the MRI for diagnosis of a soft tissue issue. I don't know why I bothered to say anything if he was not going to acknowledge any of it anyway. Great Practice! Knows his stuff and is very good with patients!

Dr Huene is a fabulous doctor. One of the things I appreciate about him is that he gets down to business, doesn’t make lots of silly small talk. However, once you spend a little time with him he’s quite funny. When he first meets with you he’s very serious and focused. He listens intently then asks questions, he doesn’t cut you off or rush you. He’s honest about what he can and can not do for you even if it means turning down business. I had a surgery scheduled and while I was doing my pre-op appointment I expressed my opinion that, my partially amputated finger, might be infected. He couldn’t see anything but took my opinion seriously. He ended up canceling his afternoon appointments, called around and got me into an operating room that afternoon rather than waiting till the next day when I was actually scheduled. Turned out that I had a pretty good infection brewing deep in my finger. He really cares about his patients and takes their well-being seriously. My son saw him for some shoulder issues and rather than suggesting surgery right away he told him how to strengthen it and if that didn’t help to come back for further discussions. I highly recommend Dr Huene! Also, his staff is amazing which is hard to find these days.... Dr Huene is a fabulous doctor. Very straight forward person. I was released after 3 weeks after meniscus surgery. I took extra time because I drive trucks & need to bend my knee more than most people.

At a follow up appointment, he came into the room and did not even ask me any questions. He went straight into moving my wrist around and telling me that I was doing better. I told him I was not. He told me that I was. I tried to redescribe the problems I was having. He then said it will be something I have to deal with for the rest of my life, and told me to go get a second opinion. I'm guessing he just didn't like me for some reason.

Excellent medical treatment! I broke my arm at work, and Dr. Huene's office fit me into his schedule. I received quality medical treatment and am very pleased with the service I received. Lupita, a medical assistant, is wonderful and always ensures all my questions are answered. Dr. Huene's level of skill draws a large number of patients, which means he is very busy. He spends the needed time to ensure each patient receives appropriate medical care and then moves on to the next patient.

Ridiculous waiting times for the useless so called doctor to say that nothing is wrong when you were referred because of a fracture. Useless and a complete waste of time.

Was severely injured in a horrific workplace accident. Insurance carrier referred me to a sub-par surgeon at ROC. I found OSA and Dr. Huene through my own research. He is a very good surgeon with a forthright manner and is realistic. My injuries are healing and his clinician, Julie, is always communicating with me, ensuring good customer service. Dr. Huene is honest and many people do not like that. His office staff is compassionate as well and works with people.

I've had a dozen surgeries, this man is the worst surgeon in the state. He botched the knee surgery so bad, and kept waiting to do anything about it that I'v lost 50% use of my knee. Another surgeon tried to fix his work, but could only do so much, so now i'm out of work permanently. He has so many others with problems after seeing him, that I found out about after. Working with workmans comp gives u little choice until something goes wrong and then you can choose another doctor. the ins.

I am reporting this doctor and his office to the Medical Board. This was a very UNBELIEVABLE experience. First of all, his bedside manner is the worst. I had a unknown problem with my hand, so this gruff old man comes in and starts bending my hand like I'm Gumby. I tell him the I can barely open things and he starts in with this I need to use it or it will atrophy thing. I work for a living, I've had to use it through the pain. He was way off with that assumption, and it was strike two with me trusting him. Then back to strike one, more painful bending. "THEN" THEY DECIDE TO X Ray AND THEY FIND A MASS! IDIOTS! How about doing that X ray first to avoid all the unnecessary pain I went through? So then we get to the MRI, which they shot dye into me while doing. That means they are looking for cancer. So, we are expecting a call Monday for results. No call, Tuesday, no call. Wednesday I call--The MRI place was flooded over the weekend and got behind. I know for a fact that they had the MRI results Thursday evening because the imaging place told me so. So do we get a call? NO. Friday I call, Dr. Huene is in surgery all day?! Even though another doctor has the results, the office tells me he wants to consult with Dr. Huene first. So they don't tell me Friday at all, no word. Today I call after a nervous weekend and they are closed for the Holiday?!!!! THIS IS WHERE I FREAKED OUT ON THE ANSWERING SERVICE AND GUESS WHAT? THEY DON'T CARE AND THEY ABSOLUTELY REFUSED TO CALL THE DOCTOR EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM I WAS GOING TO WRITE THIS AND NEVER RETRACT IT. EVER! THEY HAVE PUT ME THROUGH INEXCUSABLE SUFFERING AND THE OPERATOR COULD CARE LESS. SO NOW I DECIDED TO CALL THE IMAGING PLACE TO SEE WHAT IS UP. I SIGNED A RELEASE AND THEY WILL SEND ME MY RESULTS. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO READ THEM MYSELF TO SEE IF I HAVE A MALIGNANCY OR NOT? THIS IS THE MOST EGREGIOUS VIOLATION OF THE PATIENT/DR. TRUST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. THIS MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, HE DOES NOT. FIND A DOCTOR WHO WILL, BECAUSE ANYONE WILLING TO PUT A PERSON THROUGH THIS DOES NOT DESERVE THE TITLE DOCTOR. DO NOT go to him for worker's compensation cases he DOES NOT have the ability or character to look at cases objectively. Therefore you WILL NOT be referred for a PPD rating even with loss of range of motion scar tissue and deficit, he will declare you not rateable! Maybe this is his ego that impairs his ability to allow another doctor to evaluate a permenant partial disability that is quite apparent? Go see Christianson or Kaiser at ROC NOT THIS JERK! Dr. Huene was great!!! I had a wart on the inside of my right thumb that my general practitioner burned off. He burned it very deep and after 2 months it had not healed well at all. I kept going back and was told after 3 trips to my physicians office it would be fine. It looked terrible and was still opened and exposed. I had to keep it bandaged all the time. I was referred to Dr Huene and was so pleased with my 1st visit. He was very concerned, said no it was not right. It did require surgery to correct. He even did a biopsy to rule anything out. It really looked that bad. It healed wonderfully. He was very caring and compassionate. I would refer him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Huene!!! Dr. Huene was great!!!
