Donald Charles Gross

Dr. Gross saved my life by performing an emergency surgery for an intestinal obstruction. He explained the procedure, emphasized the risk and made sure I understood the potential complications. He is very approachable and matter of fact. I am in the medical field and the best description I can provide is DR. GROSS KNOWS HIS STUFF! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

Excellent surgeon.

Dr. Gross saved my life. I was a sick puppy when I made it to the Emergency Room on a Friday Night. He did Emergency surgery on Saturday morning around 6:00 am. I had a MRSA staph infection in my intestines and have never felt so bad in my life. I should send him a Christmas card every year or find some other way to thank him.

This doctor does not take an ounce of responsibility for his mistakes. When the mistakes are life threatening, at least show some type of concern verses continuing to be rude and nonchalant towards the patients that trusted you to perform a surgery! Thank God for Grace and Mercy because you need them if this is doctor!

Dr Gross Removed my appendix on an emergency call. No complications. Would highly recommend this man to anyone needing a general surgeon.

Wish I could leave a review; been waiting over two weeks for someone to call me back about an appointment.

Went in for a biopsy waited two hours told to be there before 12:00 Dr gross nurse said to be there before noon because he would not be there in office after lunch finally left at 12:35 and was asked if I would like to reschedule what kind of rude behavior has this office be taught not impressed by any stretch of the imagination

Emergency. Removal of section of small intestine due to scar tissue. I was completely satisfied with everything about the care I received from Dr. Gross. He was a highly competent and caring surgeon. I have had no complications from the procedure after almost a year.

Dr. Gross is the most approachable physician I have ever encountered. As a medical person, I encounter many physicians. He took time explaining every stage of the gallbladder surgery. His office worked me in the day after I called for a consult appointment and surgery was scheduled for the day after that. He has exceptional surgical skills and even discovered another problem, now treating that as well. This is my choice for general surgeons in the Tuscaloosa area.

Dr. Gross stayed on top of my mother's care the whole time she was in the hospital - checking on her multiple times a day. He was caring and compassionate. He made decisions promptly and acted immediately in order to address a life threatening problem. He is one of the best physicians I have encountered.

Dr. Gross gave excellent advice and the removal of the gall bladder was the correct thing to do. Once we decided on surgery we were in an out in less than 2 hours with no complications. He has a dry sense of humor and all in all it was not an unpleasant experience.

4 hour wait time and left without seeing him! Arrogance!

I had a very similar exerience You had I had a simple abdomen procedure and had to have another one to correct that one just a few years later I was and to this day still in severe pain All of the time! He does not care about the patients and their well being very poor beside manners lack of professionalism he definitely should NOT be a doctor!!!!

Thanks to Donald Gross I had to have another surgery to correct the botched job he did. And what made it worse, I complained of pain after the surgery from the very beginning. He kept telling me nothing was wrong with me and giving me pain meds. He did not care, nor did he lift a finger to help me. I finally had another doctor find out what the problem was and believe me, I found another surgeon to do the job.
